My check engine light went on, along with a few other lights, so I went to one mechanic that determined it was probably a timing chain issue, but couldn't work on it for over 3 weeks. I really needed my car for a longer trip sooner than that so I called up Sam's Auto and was able to get scheduled in a week. It took a couple days to fix the timing chain, and I was able to get the car back in time for my trip. Reasonable price, which was lower than the other mechanic's estimate.Quite happy with this visit, despite having to get expensive engine work done. I think I've found myself a new go to mechanic!

Sam and his team are a tried and true Medford gem. Their excellence shines in their work, communication, and fairness you just don't get the pleasure of having at other shops. Love them to death.

I suddenly lost my brakes a 150 miles from home on a Sunday afternoon. DAG towing helped me out tremendously and told me that they could take my vehicle to a reputable local shop to be fixed. I had my car back in 24 hours which I consider to be absolutely miraculous. Where I come from that would not have even been possible. I was amazed by the exemplary customer service I received. Wonderful people and awesome experience. I can't thank them enough.Service: Brakes

Everyone was extremely friendly and made sure my vehicle was available when I needed it! Prices are affordable, my vehicle runs smooth and location is convenient! OWNER with INTEGRITY! I took my car to Sam's Auto Care on recommendation from a family member. The Check Charging System in my 2017 Honda Accord warning was on. My 100% expectation: to have to pay for an alternator and parts/labor needed. The shop called and said it was wires that had been chewed (squirrels and chipmunks ARE in my neighborhood), and the car was ready to go. Repeating, I expected an alternator replacement, and would not have been the wiser if they had made that recommendation, but they fixed the problem at much less profit (labor, parts mark-up, etc.). The team at Sam's Auto, is awesome! Top quality ASE Certified Mechanics at reasonable prices. I saved almost $300 on the job they did for me. The price quoted included both, additional maintence parts and better parts than the dealer was offering at that higher price. I am very pleased with Sam's and highly recommend you consider them for your next repair.

Late review: didn't have a good experience. Got brake pads replaced which immediately on driving home was noted to have a burning smell. Took it back and was told it was normal with newly installed brake pads. Continued to have the same issue the following day, so took the car back one more time. This time I was told that there is an issue with brake pad and rotors and both had to be replaced again. I was charged again for it!

I used to tell everyone that asked for a good mechanic, to go here. Never again. Not answering phones, not returning calls for messages left on voicemail, speaking to someone and being told they will call back with an update in a few minutes, and having to call back the next day because they never did as stated. That was only the communications issue. My father has had us take vehicles to Sam's since he was located on Tuckerton Road. The way Sam spoke to me when I last saw him in person and a week later on the phone was demeaning and rude. My son's vehicle was there from August 8th until September 6th. When I originally made the appointment on 8/3, I was told it would be looked at on August 8/9, I expressed repeatedly to the shop that the car was an extreme necessity and needed asap. Eventually on 9/2, I was told it was a "problem vehicle" that they didn't have time to really diagnose, and not "bread and butter" for thier business. I could feel free to come and get it if I didn't want to continue to keep waiting. The car was towed to another shop late afternoon of 9/6, car was diagnosed, repaired and ready to be picked up early morning of 9/8. A $100 fix that was obviously not such a problem. Never recommending again, and definitely never doing business with again.

I was told by Sam to not even bother writing this review. He didn t care that I ve left MULTIPLE messages and have recordings of his, I assume, secretary. He lied to me when he said she tried to call. I m am willing to provide recordings of the calls I ve made. He said quote I don t really care what you ve got sir, that car should ve been scrapped 6 months ago, it was scrap then and it is now (They ve had my car 7 months) I ve spoken to her at least twice asking what s up with the car. Twice I was told someone would call me back. No answer. Finally got a call back today. Got the run around, got mocked for my southern accent and Was told that nobody cares.I get that it could ve been considered scrap when it was dropped off. No problem, I was willing to fix a car that has sentimental value head to toe restoration and was told It wasn t worth it . Just wished someone would ve actually called my number back. It s the same number they called today.So Sam? Nobody may care, but I do. Horrible business. Don t worry I ll get it towed to the scrap yard you recommended.

My family have taken our vehicles to Sam for the past 15 years. I have dealt with a dozen mechanics over the years, and I have yet to find a more reliable, honest, and reasonably priced mechanic than Sam. A few years ago, when I moved 40 minutes away, I took my car to a local mechanic that had been recommended by a local friend as a "good and trustworthy" mechanic. He quoted me $2000 for a need exhaust system repair. I decided to take it to Sam who did the exact same job for $1300. Have also thrown money away by mechanics who were negligent at best or dishonest at worst. Never Sam...he is very knowledgeable, will always explain your options clearly without pushing anything on you, and he and his staff always do excellent work. Sam is outstanding!

I have been using Sam's for about half a year now. My Wife tried him first after our usually mechanic told her that her wheels were fine and they couldn't hear the whining sound coming from them. I didn't know what they misses, I could hear the sound. So anyway she took her car to Sam's and he took his time, heard the sound and fixed the broken wheel bearing. The sound is now gone. Since then I have taken my car to his shop for oil changes, engine lights and a major AC coolent leak issue. His prices are reasonable and his work is good. I plan to keep using his shop as long as he is around. If you need a trustworthy mechanic,. I highly recommend using Sam's.

Great customer service, good price, fast turn around. They also took such good care with delivering the bad news about my car. Will def be going back there with my future car along with my family's car.

We were referred to Sam's from a friend. Our daughter's 2012 Volkswagen suddenly needed brakes and Sam's took us the next morning to get rotors and pads, and it was completed the same day.. for less than half of what the Volkswagen dealership quoted.We've passed this garage thousands of times and never realized how clean and professional it was. We'll definitely be back since we are a family with 7 used cars!!

Sam, is very accommodating for your schedule. He and his staff are some of the most qualified mechanics I've ever dealed with. Having worked in a shop before you can tell when someone's faking it and it's someone really has a passion for it. Sam and his crew are definitely people who have a passion for it. And furthermore when I asked if I should replace my brakes or my tires ECT. Sam has openly discouraged me from spending money I didn't need to spend, explaining why my tires are still safe, and showing me how much life is left on my brakes. That is a rare combination defined in a mechanic, someone who has passion but also cares if you are trying to make the proper investment in your car. I cannot highly recommend these people enough, they are the only people in New Jersey area that I trust with my car and by extension my life.

Besides being one of the nicest business person in the state, he is also trustworthy, honest and he knows his business. He is an excellent mechanic. I have had VWs for a couple decades now and finding someone who can work on them, outside of the ridiculously expensive dealerships, has been a real challenge. Sam managed to keep my last VW running, very cost effectively for 14 years! He kept the cost down, not initiating any extreme repairs, knowing I was going to get a new car soon. My new VW is turbo. Sam is working on it as well. Keeps the tuning costs low enough to not break the bank. In an emergency, he always comes to the rescue. I have sent my friends there and my family. Others referred me to Sam's. Extremely friendly from the first phone call to the time I picked up. Excellent communication and fairly priced. I highly recommend them, knowing how difficult it is to find a trusted mechanic!!

Wow! I've never been so impressed on a walk in first visit. Staff was so courteous and while they told me what I would "also need done" for my car, there was no hard sale. Pricing is fair and affordable, I will definitely be back!

Been going to Sam since Lakes Exxon...in an industry that's hard to find honest n quality people, Sam is both! Very quality work and doesn't try to sneak in Xtra repairs! He does what u want n will recommend other repairs needed and let u decide if u want them done or not. Great guy n business!

Finding an auto mechanic that can cost effectively repair and service your car is rare. Sam and his crew are always there and I know I can take my car to them with the utmost confidence the job will be done correctly and it will not break the bank.
