Honest service and Great at what they do. Not Cheap for sure. but you absolutely get what you pay for and you certainly get your Moneies worth. Stillwells is worth it. You can trust they're work and they're Honesty. It's worth it to bring your car here.

Recommended by coworker who's used them for decades and swear by their work. Originally, took car to get new tires at PepBoys and they mentioned that I needed rear rotors and the left rear caliper was stuck but able to loosen it with lubricant.Decided to heed my coworker's advice and had the car looked over for a second opinion at Stillwell. AC fan was making a whining noise when on so I had that checked out as well. Mechanic at Stillwell said left rear caliper is gone and needs to be replaced as well as the rotors and the right rear caliper should be replaced as well. Imagine if I had my rear rotors done at PepBoys without addressing the real issue why my rotors were destroyed. They did everything within a very reasonable price for labor. The labor they charged for rear calipers and rotors were cheaper than having all 4 tires mounted and balanced at PepBoys. Geez.I am now a lifelong customer of Stillwell. Nobody else will touch my car aside from the basic oil change.Update: I believed that I got great service but upon taking my car in today to get my brakes checked out, it turns out I may have been swindled.My right rear caliper failed and my left rear caliper was leaking oil. I originally had both supposedly replaced 2 years ago and sadly after 2 years, I don t think I received brand new calipers. The mechanic at Midnight Oil (who is amazing) said this does not look like a 2 year old caliper. It s sad because I trusted these guys and was horrified that after two years, I need new calipers. The right rear was replaced and the other fixed so it didn t leak.As you can see from the invoice: I paid for two brand new calipers that failed in 2 years. Whether I got subpar calipers or my calipers were never replaced. I always save my receipts everytime I have my car fixed so I know what s been done.Never again. I wanted to update and warn you guys because I believe in honesty and would not recommend a business to anybody if I didn t believe in it.Go to Midnight Oil in Lincroft and you won t regret it. Mike will take care of you.

My family and I have been coming to Chris for years. I live 30 minutes away but won t go anywhere else. Always worth the drive. The quality and service is unmatched from anywhere else I ve been too. Highly recommend coming here if you live in the area.

Our family was on vacation when our car suddenly failed to start. Chris and the team were over-booked this week, but they fit us in on short notice when they heard our plight, and got us moving again. They replaced the battery, changed the oil, and diagnosed low coolant level, all in a day. We really appreciated their flexibility, and the prices were very reasonable. Thank you Stillwell Garage!Another data point: my father in law has been a customer here for 30 years.

I m pleased with the service and knowledgeability at Stillwell. Chris is super helpful and the service is reasonably priced. These guys are trustworthy and I d continue to take my vehicle back to them. I left feeling that they went above and beyond for my vehicle. They replaced my radiator on a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan and gave me a diagnostic and quote for other issues. In the past, I ve also had a tuneup and oil change done for the same vehicle. It s running pretty well now, all things considered

I had my 1987 C-4 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible serviced at Stillwell Garage. All I can say is WOW!!. Service and price was great!! Thank you CHRIS.If you have an older Corvette this is the place to go for service if you live in Monmouth County. Went to try it based on all the positive reviews they've had. The folks there were very nice, and did seem like they were pretty honest. I only had an oil change, so can't really speak for any other services. Price was a little on the high side, but not insanely high. I just wish they had weekend hours and/or late nights during the week.

My dad has been going here for years so when the AC broke in my car, he recommended I give them a shot. The repair was expensive but the staff was knowledgeable, polite and helpful. I will be going back to them should I need any repairs in the future!

I had an emergency where I needed the car fixed ASAP so I google local mechanics. Picked this shop at random and went with it. It had 11 good reviewers so I figured it must be good. As I walked In I was warmly greeted and serviced within minutes. Both guys at the office were friendly and polite. The car was fixed in 2 days and it now works fine. When I talked to a mechanic friend about what was fixed I was shocked to discover that I was charged $275 for part that cost $75-$98 dollars tops. The bill was $515 with tax. Parts were listed as $275 and labor $198. Truly I don t mind paying a markup especially if you do a good job but 300% that s a bit over the top. Hence this review. Don t make my mistake and compare prices before you commit.

You get what you pay for. I ve been going to Stillwells off and on since the 1980 s. Automotive professionals all the way. If you want your vehicle repaired right the first time, look no further. Russ the owner, and Mike are both personable and professional. Not a bargain price garage, but repairs are first rate and diagnosed expertly. 68 years in the business speaks volumes.Service: Transmission

Started using this place roughly a year ago and am very happy with the quality of work, speed they get the work done, and most importantly price. They are very reasonable with their price and were able to resolve the issues with my car.

Fantastic place. I so miss you guys. I was a customer for decades but moved to SC about 5 years ago. Mike and Russ are great people. 100% honest and will go the extra mile. Since moving to SC I still can't find a decent place to service my car. Stillwell is one of those rare finds.

I had an excellent experience with Stillwell Garage when my car was damaged by debris on the road and will use them again. They were professional and finished the car within the time they stated. They also provided advice re the replacement parts. They also fixed two unrelated issues with my car at no additional cost. I highly recommend them.

I have been using Stillwells for about 15 years. I have recommended them to friends and family. It's run the way garages used to be run - honest, quality work at a fair price. They are up to date with their technology and equipment. I bring my wife's new car there as well as my 10 year old pick up. They have never let me down. Thank you Stillwells for being a place I can trust.

Full disclosure: I'm writing this not based on any services provided by the guys at Stillwell. I am, however, writing this based on a call I had with Mike a few days ago.I needed an inspection on a car I was looking at buying. Everyone I called in the Matawan area came off as brash, with little time for me or my call about needing service from them. That's when I dialed up Stillwell. Mike answered, and took probably ten minutes from his day to talk with me about inspections and the like. I needed someone to come to the place where the car was, and, unfortunately, Mike said they weren't able to do that. He was willing to slot me in during the next business day for a quick inspection on the pretenses that he'd rather do it where he had more time to be very thorough. Unfortunately, my timetable didn't allow me the luxury of waiting a couple of days to get it done, but if I was able, I'd have taken it to Stillwell without hesitation.The best part: Despite not scheduling anything with them, he still took the time to help me locate someone who would come out and do the inspection.If that's not the definition of good customer service, I don't know what is.

Consistent 5 star ratings don't lie, and the same goes for Mike, Russ and the team at Stillwells Garage. Mr. 'Benz Car' your car is a problem child nothing more. 30 plus years ago I saved for my first car and since then every car I've had has been serviced by Stillwells. Open honest pricing. Mike always makes you feel like you're getting the family treatment. If a rebuilt part will suffice over the more expencive part he'll recomend it. I own a P.O.S., (think about It), 2002 Taurus, but I need to speak kindly about the beast because I need it to last. I had idling issues, and it was running like a, well, pig. Mike called me and broke the news. The computer wouldn't interface with their computer. A use computer would cost more then what I could spend. He told me that they'll try something else. I got a call two days later and was told it was ready to be picked up. They went through the car old school style fixed the problem and saved me another big credit card charge. Are you kidding? They worked the problem the HARD way, took money out of their pockets to save ME money!! We had a new pastor come to our church and he needed a used car. Without hesitation I sent him to see Mike. Mike got him a great deal on the perfect car. Strait from the pastors mouth, "Those guys are something else. They're really nice. You don't expect to see that in a repair shop." Five Stars? I'll confidently give them 10

I was towed to the service station from the parkway..they were honest and accommodating,I wish they were closer to where I live...awesome shop
