Be wary on taking your vehicle here. If the job at is too complicated, they will try to stack on other un-related work that isn't top priority.First go-around, they held onto my vehicle for 3-4 months with a few updates. I have dropped in several times to check with the with the admin secretary to find out they forgot to order the part. I found this out on my second visit when I pressed her on what the delay was.When returning for pick up, the wheels were pretty low on air, and the truck covered with debris. George explained the truck was "good to go" but did not go into much detail on the work performed. Mind you, this was a hefty bill for little explanation (fuel injection control module replacement). After leaving, two hours later, the check engine light came back, and the truck was reduced to limp mode.Second go-around, they took my vehicle back for the same diagnostic codes. Prior to both service visits, I downloaded my codes that I pull with my own reader along with my friends.Later that week, I get a return call from George stating the current issue and codes are not related, and the car had additional items compounding the CEL that were not addressed? Reluctantly, I agreed to the repairs since I was out of town and was promised over the phone we would approach a solution.After returning, I asked if everything was resolved and if the mechanic was able to discern the problem. George looked visibly frustrated as if I was hassling him. He brushed off my questions and stated everything was fine and good after making motion to the front desk for payment.Fair to say, this will be my last time coming here. I believe George is a good person outside of work and his mechanics and techs are very talented. But continuing to spend thousands of dollars and returning back with no solution is not it.

George and crew are top notch. Everyone goes above and beyond. Such a pleasure to deal with. Always takes the time to explain the issues and make you apart of the process, whether its plugging a tire or diagnosing a transmission issue. Highly recommend for any and all car repair!!!!!

I pulled in today without an appointment. Had a warning on dashboard that a brake light was out. I was asked to come back in an hour. An hour later I returned and within 10 minutes the owner, George, was personally checking it out. Seems it was sending a bad signal cause the light was working fine. Jaguar .go figure!! Everyone there super nice and professional. Place is spotless! 17 years living here and I now have a place I feel very comfortable bringing my cars for service and repair. Time is money but George would not take anything for the time he spent on my car! Now that s customer service!! Especially since I was never their customer before today!! Thanks again George!!

Absolutely the WORST Mechanic we have ever used.He left the purge valve on our Caddilac wide open which left gas fumes to leak inside car. We took the vehicle to Caddilac because we were smelling fumes and they proceeded to tell my Husband the job George did was done wrong!Today my Husband s Business Truck that George worked on went down because the radiator that he installed was not installed properly which caused the transmission hoses to explode!Service: Air conditioning

Outstanding service. They replaced my transmission and my brakes. My car runs so much better than it ever has. I wish I could give them more stars. George was really easy to talk to and he listened to my experience driving the car. He took his time to explain everything to me and always asked if I had any questions. I was referred by a close friend to George and his staff for a transmission overhaul. Everyone was courteous and kind from the start and my issues with my vehicle were tended to. Anytime I had questions related to the repair or the bill I always had them answered in a timely manner. Even when an issue arose during a warranty period I was treated as expected and everything was taken care of. I appreciate all the help from George and will be back in the future if necessary! Phenomenal! This was the best experience I ve had in a very long time. George went above and beyond to figure out and fix my car s issues. He took the time to listen and talk about the past history of my car. He even went through past service history invoices. He was very methodical in his approach. I m 100% satisfied. I went to Bay Transmission with my car in need of serious work. I had a transmission issue, a bad wheel hub, a nail in a tire, 2 bulbs out in turn signals, an exhaust flex pipe leak, and needed an oil change. I was greeted by Lori who was professional and personable. George, the owner was straightforward in his explanation of the repairs and cost. I was given a loaner car that saved me money. They went above and beyond doing a thorough job that was done in a timely fashion, despite the pandemic and at a very reasonable price. I am now a loyal customer.

George has been my mechanic for 5+ years, only the best service. NEVER suggested something I didn't need, and even saved me from more trouble down the road with a little preventative maintenance. Would (and do) recommend them to EVERYONE that I know. Thanks for the extra effort to George and his whole team.!!!!!

Bay does more than just transmission repairs. They are a one stop ship for excellent automotive repairs. They'll rebuild a transmission in order to save a customer money, if that is possible, do breK work and more. The mechanics are some of the best I've encountered and the young lady up front is a doll. She always has a smile and a warm welcome.The owner comes across a tad cranky, but he is a fantastic mechanic a good business owner and a really nice guy who is super focused.

Have been coming here a while now and always feel I get great, honest service. Even had an emergency on our way traveling out of state, and George brought us in immediately, fixed our problem and had us on our way. Definitely would give more stars if allowed!!!

George's bay shore transmission is a nice auto shop i took my Jeep there years ago to have the slave cylinder replaced so when i bought my new/used truck i wanted them to have a look over it. I was pleased to find out his recommendations.

Amazing customer service, replaced my whole transmission for way cheaper than most places around the Toms River area. Treat you like you're important & their waiting area is spacious, with free wifi included! 5 stars!

Bay Transmission on Bay Avenue in Manahawkin, NJ did a Great Job fixing my employees car that needed a lot of work done. George completed the job on time at the price agreed upon and the secretary Lori was helpful and friendly. Thank You

Fantastic customer service and quality work. Very thorough diagnostic service, and extremely quick transmission repair. Prices on the higher side of average, but the convenience is worth every penny. Highly recommended.

They do a very good quick service on your car. They also do the hard jobs that others don't want to tackle. They also do them very well. They have quite a few bays so they get the jobs done quickly and efficiently.
