Went back to give them another try since steven had worked so hard to make it right my last visit. He did not disappoint. He did everything he could to make this a good experience with good customer service. I hope they value him as an employee.

I am 62 year old woman and thought I ll pay extra money at a dealer to get it done correctly , boy what a mistake this was.I went in for simple oil change and the flush my coolant. I was charged $319.00 for the service. There was nothing wrong with my car.A few weeks later, I checked my antifreeze reserve had no coolant. I had to go purchase antifreeze and put it in myself. I called them up and told them that they caused this leak and had to fix it.I left my job early, went and got their 1:30 at 4 o clock the service scheduler called me on my cell phone and told me my car would cost another $400 to fix the hose. I could not believe what he was saying. I couldn t believe he was calling me on the phone when I was only two rooms away from him, I went to the room I told him I would sue him. He reduced it to 200.00 at that point, I was furious I wanted to talk to the manager. He said if I could just pay for the hose He he would reduced it just to the price of the hose that was $52. However, no new hose was ever placed. Don t trust Liberty Hyandia service they are liars and cheats

Went in for an oil change today, had an appointment that we had to make a month in advance! (for an oil change) I'm sorry but over 4 hours to get an oil change is unacceptable!! I don't care how nice your waiting room is. This was our last time at the mahwah hyundai service center! Don't bother complaining eigther because it seems like it's a normal thing and no one cares! I never write reviews but I had to for this! if I could I would not even give them one star. Save yourselves time and the stress!!

It's terrible experience and the worst service ever!! My car is 2023 tucson.I got there for oil change and door lock system problem. ( Monday)I realized there's leaking oil at the next day. A bolt was missing for the bottom plastic cover.I had to visit again. ( Tuesday)I left my car to fix it.A guy told me they were going to call me the next day. But no calling by 3 pm. ( Wednesday)So I called and a woman said she couldn't find the statement . She said someone was going to call me back after checking. But no calling and I tried to contact with them several times. But I couldn't reach them at all. I had to visit the service center again. A desk guy said there was no statement for my car and it would be done next day.I asked why it took that long and I needed my car at the day. He said "do you want to pick up your car now?"I told him "how can I drive the leaking car?"And then he tried to contact with someone.He said my car was already done. A mechanic didn't do on line job for done. I had to come home to drop off my another car and to visit to pick up my car again by my brother in law's car. When I checked my car at the service center, I found out one more bolt was missing again.The center wae already closed. Four times visiting and two bolts were gone for oil change. Thank you for your terrible service.

The service department rarely picks up the phone , they never call back. I called for a week straight NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. Spoke to Ivan the scheduling coordinator and I expressed to him my frustration and he said he understood it was going back in the day or the next morning. He never called back. That was on a Thursday. The following Monday I called again and got lucky he picked up the phone and I told him who I was and you were supposed to call me back. He had the never to tell me it s NOT HIS JOB TO CALL ME BACK! So he can t keep his word for a simple call back and even if it s not his job good customer service would take all about two minutes to call. Horrible customer service.Love my Car, my salesman was top notch.Only reason I m not giving one star because the service techs are working hard.

My experience with Hyundai Liberty in Mahwah has been one of the most abysmal experiences that I've ever had in any consumer or professional transaction. I brought my 1-year old $52K SUV for service because the engine kept overheating. That's not the service center's fault. My issues with this location are:1) Despite the fact that I bought the car at this dealership and the car was not really drivable, I couldn't get an appointment to bring it in immediately and had to bring it in during a previously scheduled Saturday oil change appointment. This location doesn't have mechanics working on Saturday who could fix the issue. They did me a favor and had someone diagnose the issue while a I waited for four hours (as an aide, I've never seen a dealership that doesn't provide some sort of free snack for people waiting for service).2) They were able to diagnose the issue and told me that they needed to replace the fan on this vehicle with about 15K miles on it. They wanted me to come back once the part arrived. Since I needed to have a working vehicle, I had to beg and be very insistent before they agreed to give me a loaner.3) On the following Tuesday I received a notice that the part had arrived. When I didn't hear anything from the service center, I tried calling them. I tried multiple times and no one picked up the line. It would go to the voicemail box which was full and couldn't receive new messages. On Friday someone finally picked up the phone and told me I had to speak with my service rep (name begins with A) to get a status and that she would call me back. She never did. I called again on Saturday and after repeated calls finally had someone pick up who told me I had to speak with "A" and she would call me back... she never did.4) On Monday I finally managed to get "A" on the phone and she was "very sorry" that she never called me back. She told me they still didn't start working on my car despite having the part since Tuesday. She promised to prioritize the repair.5) They didn't start working on the car until Tuesday afternoon and the repair was completed on Wednesday.This is a poorly run and staffed operation. I will warn everyone I know to stay far away from this dealership.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

This service locations is absolutely disgusting. I had scheduled a recall service check for my car months ago for an appointment today12/12/2023 at 10AM. I also asked that they look at the sunroof becuz it was slow to close/has low power. Service Advisor Claudia Arguello said it may take up to 2 hours for the job becuz of the additional request to check sunroof. I gave them 2 hours and 45 minutes before I went to ask for an update. Claudia informed me the crew was on lunch but she would look into it and get back to me. I went back to waiting and after about another 20 minutes I went back to ask for the update. This time I went to a different advisor as Claudia was with someone else. This advisor informed me that my car was never touched and was still waiting to be serviced. WHAT????!!! I told him to have my car brought back so I can leave and I wanted to see the manager. Manager Paul Vasquez shows up minutes later and after I explained everything to him he said he ll investigate and get back to me tomorrow. I said why can t you call your service team now becuz I would love to know how they decided which cars to work on being that I have been here since 10 AM and everyone who came after me was already serviced and gone? How am I supposed to analyze this scenario as a black woman who came in with an appointment sitting in waiting area with no communication/updates for 3 hours just to hear that my car was NEVER SERVICED? I can t help but feel discriminated against. This Claudia woman knew the car was never touched when I went to inquire about my car 20 minutes prior yet she proceeded to tell me she would get update after the guys got back from lunch. Manager Paul tried to act like rescheduling with a loner car would be his best efforts to rectify the situation, HOWEVER, time is money. You all took 3 hours from me today that I can t get back. Plus gas, plus mileage. You d better think of another way to situate this situation! I already put in an even more formal complaint with corporate becuz what s not going to happen is me allowing ANYONE to discriminate against me. PERIOD!

I was told that they would not service my the recall on my care because I didn't buy the car there. Once I asked why the person started huffing and puffing. I spoke to a Ricky who not give me his last name and his reasoning when I call corporate they will know who I am. Well Ricky thanks for the great customer service.

This place is a joke. My father scheduled an appt over a month in advance for a check up and for the check engine light being on. He brought the car in on Oct 16 and they still have it. After a few days of the car not being moved I contacted them over and over bc no one picks up the phone. The response is they re really busy. Why schedule an appt a month in advance? I called back 2 days later to demand a loaner car bc leaving someone without a vehicle for days is ridiculous. After going back and forth they rented him a car and that was the last we heard about his car. No one has called to update - every time we call no one picks up. At least he was able to get a rental after I demanded it otherwise they would have just left him hanging with no vehicle.

good customer service and service time. they will settle you to near by mall and can pick you up from there late. the waiting room is clean and comfortable. you can get a free cup of coffee and enjoy TV shows while you wait.

Had a problem with my 2020 I recently got. The techs managed to get me in on Saturday for Monday pick up. Very friendly, honest and want you to be happy with a safe working car. Definitely will go again.Steve was wonderful and explained what requirements the 2020 has as it's my first high tech car.

I used a gift certificate for compound, wax, shampoo and detailing. The customer Rep Dominic was excellent with scheduling and giving me realistic time expectations. The service was excellent. My car had a great shine and two scratches disappeared. The inside on my car looked brand new and the outside had a high gloss and looked great. Came in to change a tire. After checking in, they forgot about us in the waiting room for 3 hours. Someone had to come ask who we were. Pretty sure our car had been done after an hour, and we ended up waiting an extra 2 hours.

Had a horrible experience, brought the car for a trunk latch recall and after the work was done my smart trunk won't work. Brought the car back and I was told it was a different issue and I have to pay out of pocket to fix it even though I didn't have this issue before they did the recall on the car's trunk.

Rick and Jim were amazing! Had a nail in my tire, took my car in right before work and were able to fix it and were fair. They were extremely polite, courteous, professional, and very personable. Highly recommend! Other dealership services need to be like themService: TiresService: Tires

Dropped off my Hyundai Sante fe at this place for Turbo problem which never got fixed. After I waited for almost a year I went to pick up my car, they charged me for new Turbo and other issues that came up to my car while my car was sitting in their parking lot. Honestly I wish I never went to this place.

Took my car for an oil change. They kept the car for days with no update.I tried calling repeatedly, no one answers the phone and the voicemail is full.Had to drive there in person where the service associate tells me they are too busy to answer the phone.Then they can't find the keys to my car.When they finally find it they tell me no work has been done.Complete incompetence.

Had a great experience, came in for an anti theft software update and they mentioned I had complimentary service still left on my car and did a great and quick job with both. It s the worst service Deparment ever I dropped my car for oil change and I took the car after they finished my car stopped on the highway i had to call a tow truck to take it back to the dealership the played with hybrid system i been waiting for 2 months to get it fix and everyday Im calling them they said tomorrow or this week They didn t even offer A loaner i had to go and rent another car I m not happy with this Experience i dont advise anybody to go there they had no feelings and very rude

My Hyundai died on way to north jersey. I had the car towed to Liberty Hyundai. The engine had been giving issues in the past and I had bought that car because of the lifetime engine warranty on my model. The repair man told me that my engine wasn t covered under the lifetime warranty due to the 120k miles and that he wouldn t look at it till October (in June I brought it in) I then had to tow my sonata to Hyundai of Trenton closer to my house. They told me that the engine was covered under the lifetime warranty and that liberty Hyundai didn t want to do it because it s a lot of paper work and they have to put me in a loaner vehicle.

I had a great experience yesterday. The young man at the front desk, Gio, was especially courteous and polite. This was my first service on my Kona. I only waited about 45 minutes and had a delicious cup of coffee in the lounge. An extra bonus was a car wash. I will continue to use Liberty Hyundai Service in the future.

I have always had a Hyundai. This is my third car with them. Recently my car experienced a problem. I calls road side Assiria c � and they came right away. Once my car got to this service station. It became a huge mess. My car has been with them for four days. No one answers the phone and when they do I get a run around. They keep saying we ll work on your car tomorrow. With no communication and they way they have handled this. I have decided to cancel both of my leased cars with them and go to a different car company.Service: General repairs & maintenance

They were very helpful when I had to change days for my appointment.I went in for a oil change, but the mechanics check the whole vehicle and noticed the tire problem. They could not do it on Monday, so I made the appointment for Tuesday. Problems at work made me change till Wednesday. Everything went fine and my Kono drives fine.

I ve been there several times for routine service. They are the best. So MUCH BETTER THAN PARAMUS HYUNDAI. One time when I couldn t get into Mahwah, I thought I would go to Paramus. Walked in, walked out. I bought my car there in Mahwah and it s the only place to go. Very efficient On time. Incredibly helpful. Work with customers. 10 stars!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Love how the team is so friendly and keeps you informed about your vehicle while it's there. Very professional, knowledgeable and down to earth. The place is clean, open with a nice waiting room & there's even a great diner right next door (steps away). Definitely coming back for all my car's service!

Very convenient for Hyundaistas, like me. The service is competent and the front desk is efficient. I've never had a redo, and it's convenient for me. They check each car for necessary services, sometimes with excessive enthusiasm. There is a lounge for those who wait, and free coffee. A rare attraction is an adjacent decent Diner I can recommend if you weary of the lounge.
