Outstanding! Nobody and I mean nobody knows transmissions and clutch hydraulics like Joe. No young techs have any idea how 6 speeds work. He is a great guy too on top of being a true car guy and expert mechanic. After two other shops couldn't do anything but damage my car he got it done.JohnMadison, NJService: Transmission repair

I have an old auto in near mint condition. The transmission was on the fritz, not able to shift until achieving high speeds. I was worried I'd have to rid myself of the car because two other places said it could not be repaired, requiring a replacement transmission. That would have been very and too costly. I found Rose City Transmission in a Google search. Joe took one look at the car, and knew immediately what to do. Without high cost or drama. He quickly fixed it, and I was on my way. Positive people there who could have ripped me off. They did not. Knowledgeable and honest. A joy.Service: Transmission repair

They were great and gave me the best price around and the work was done almost ten years ago and haven t had any issue whatsoever with the car, checking about another car I just bought and look them up again cause their the guys I will always go to if I ever need anything related to transmission issues.Can t go wrong and Joe is the best and explained things very simple so I could understand everything that was going on with my girlfriends car. Also he really went the extra mile to save me some money on something separate that was wrong with the car.

Rose City Transmission does exceptional work as well as has great customer service. I have been using them for years and they have worked on several of my vehicles. I have recommended them to friends and family and everyone has been satisfied. They beat all competitor prices and have a fast turn around and guarantee the work. The owner Joe is extremely helpful as are all the workers there. Very friendly and professional place! Keep up the great work Rose City Transmission!!!!

Joe of Rose City Transmission is an expert and a true gentleman. My wife and I have used their services twice over the period of several years and we've had an excellent experience both times. Joe is honest, and trustworthy and his guys do great work. Highly recommended to anyone in need of transmission work on their car or truck.

Was referred to Joey at RC by Murphy's Garage in Morristown. I dropped off my truck which had a clutch sticking "on" Joey called me the next day letting me know that the linkage needed to be adjusted (I thought the whole trans would need to come out). He also cleaned up the trans/transfer case for me to look into a small leak. Highly recommend him and knowledgeable team!Service: Transmission

Great Place. Swapped out my Passat trans for a rebuilt one.. Thankfully these guys were on the ball and saved my mounting brackets, which the rebuilder wanted to take.It's been three years now with no issues.Thanks for a good job!

The guy mark charged me for a rebuild transmission took Penelope Culbertson money never did anything, keep half the money gave Penelope Culbertson 700 cash back , had truck toad to another shop who guarantees they Mark never rebuilt anything claims was out of town that week

After going to other multiple auto shops and no luck and the other shops gave me false info I finally found a trust worthy place Rose City Transmission is top notch and i will use them for every drive train problem... Joe and Brian are the best and very knowledgeable. Fast and easy they fixed my truck with no issues and it was a great experience. Thank you Rose City Transmision for everything..

Same experience as the other review for this place from Dave Cuthbert. They did a bad job as the transmission failed after 16 months and 15,000 miles. The Owner/manager Joe was combative and denied his shop even did the job in the first place. After 3 days of providing paperwork proving that he did the BAD repair, he then claimed that the warranty was only for 1 year. This is a lie as he told me the warranty is 3 years on his work. He also claimed that I drove the car too fast and that the tires were bald. He likes to play games and not back up his work. A $4,240.35 repair was a joke and I strongly urge anyone considering this place to look elsewhere.

Had the transmission on my vehicle rebuilt at this place - which was all fine and dandy; however when that transmission they rebuilt began failing is when the problems started. I had a three year full warranty, and the transmission began failing again they refused to admit that there was a problem with the transmission. I obtained written proof from the Nissan dealership mechanic that the problem with my vehicle was once again the transmission, however they still would not admit to it and refused to fix it. I then went back to pick up my car, except now it began stalling out and the alarm system was broken. In the end I had to find another trustworthy mechanic to fix the transmission, and the car is driving great now.Vehicle mechanics should always first "do no harm" do their customers vehicle, but this is clearly not a motto followed at this location. I would not recommend anyone bringing their car to this place, unless you are a vehicular masochist, and desire a the hassle of someone damaging your transportation vessel.

Wonderful service. They temporarily repaired my transmission hose so I can drive my car while the parts came in. They were prompt, profesdional and reasonable cost. The best.

Brought my Infiniti there to have my transmission rebuilt. they had it done in two days and $1000 less than dealer price with the same warranty. would definitely recommend going to rose city transmissions to anyone having any transmission problems.

I shipped these fools a fully tested $1,700 transmission, and they dropped it and broke it, and made me pay to ship it back saying it was bad after they broke it. Joe is also a biggot calling our female employee's bad names when confronted about the fact.We will see them in court soon.

highly Recommend Joe , i brought my 2008 jeep in the day before thanksgiving at 3 pm ( didt have an appointment ) thinking i had a transmission problem ( knocking sounds ), Joe took it for a drive and in 5 minutes diagnosed it as a front mount problem , He said drop it off on Monday leave the keys in the door, by noon it was fixed for $ 160.00 . cant thank him enough

This place is terrible told me brakes cost 1500$ to fix, the front ones online, for quoted at a different mechanic for 450 complete and utter scam.Stay away at all costs, not only that they charge crazy hourly rates.

Took my truck to have the transmission done dealt with them before never had an issue a year after the trans was put in I had a driveshaft replaced at a dealership I was bragging about how good a deal I got on the transmission being rebuilt the mechanic brought me over and showed me every single bolt on the transmission where it was attached to the motor to the driveshaft in the brackets that held it in that this transmission had never been taken out I called and inquired about it I was told that it was taken out even though it s three years now the transmission only had 30,000 miles I have three other vehicles so the actual time is not the issue it s the mileage and spending close to $3000 to get 30,000 miles out of a transmission I m sorry is not acceptable buyer beware so I have to believe that what I was told just about under a year from the trans being repaired that trans never came out of the truck and it was not repaired properly not for being charged close to $3000 sorry but I have to tell I am absolutely not a happy customer
