I am a loyal customer of Vito for almost two decades. I am honored to leave a review for several reasons. Firstly, Vito has always been transparent and honest before performing any work on my cars. Second, the quality of his work is without question the best in Bergen County, NJ - and lastly and most importantly - this is a family owned operation which I support whole heartedly - since Vito is a hardworking, dedicated and honest businessman - I will continue to support and send all of my family and friends to Vito. I believe I found my new mechanic.My old mechanic retired also in Lodi and I was extremely sad because I felt I could trust my mechanic. I like that Mr. Vito is clear about the work he s going to do BEFORE he does it. No hidden fees. I was surprised how much he charged for the diagnostic on my van.. In short, a well deserved 5 stars

If you had to get surgery you want the best surgeon to do the surgery. Vito is the car surgeon. Finding Vito s auto repair shop 15 years ago has been such a blessing. We have 4 cars in my family and he has worked on, fixed, oil changed, etc etc (the most goes on) all of them. His prices are more than reasonable and his staff of mechanics are like the other car surgeons. Incredibly respectful and kind as well. Best around!

Terrible customer service, over price service. Worst mechanic shop ever. I would never take my car back to this places. Stay away. Cost me $420 to change an o2 sensor.

Took my Nissan for a gasket replacement only charged 40 bucks very reasonable price and great customer service highly recommend this mechanic shop to fix your car they know what they re doing and what they re talking about overhaul 5 stars

Very honest crew and straight shooters. It s hard to find trustworthy mechanics if you don t know them personally. I suspected something was wrong with my car but after they checked it out and worked on it they assured me everything was okay and advised me to just keep up the maintenance. They gave me great advice about my specific make and model and charged me $0 even though they took the time to look at my car. Highly recommend them!Service: General repairs & maintenance

One of the tires on my car needed air. The attendant I believe he was Nick himself took care to check all of my tires and "topped" them off. Wait time was about ten minutes. I was very impressed with the service. I would recommend Vito's Auto Repair and will be making them my "go to" place for auto services.Service: TiresService: Tires

December 2020) I came to Vitos auto repair in good faith solely because I know a few people that work here and I grew up in this town so I decided to get serviced here and support the buisness.Im learning more about auto services as times goes on, so for those who don't know .. mechanics typically charge for their labor by the hour.I was told by the owner that it would take 2 hrs for the service and would be charged a certain amount in total. I agreed and I stood by to observe and educate myself.I witnessed the owner stepping out of the shop for 30 mins, then finished my car another 30 mins early. Then to proceed to total me out for 2 hrs serviced when indeed it took him one.I was there with intentions of supporting a buisness but also to be treated fairly.I paid the total amount in cash, which included that hr of no labor. Didnt put up a argument. I had it in my mind .. a lesson learned and go forward.I kindly ask for my reciept/invoice for the services rendered.So this next exchanged is what lead me here to writing this review.He stated that "i have to charge you extra for that print out" 20 plus dollars extra.I replied "why do I have to pay for the proof that my car was serviced here?"His reply was " I have to charge additional because you payed cash, its the law".Then he also states"dont worry my services are fully warranted".Also for those who do not know in the definition of a WARANTY .. it states "written guarantee", not verbal.If it came down to us having to go to court for any reason, verbal consents typically do not hold up.. they will always ask you for proof. Any lawyer or judged will tell you this.In a kind matter I let him know that we are both aware that I let him get me for that additional hr. But I was not going to pay for the proof of services rendered.So of course with no rebuttal, he flung the self typed up receipt towards me.Typically buisness can get away with not reporting cash payments and straight pocketing it instead.Anyone could have a "successful buisness" if their labor is priced higher then others and charge them for unknown additional time of none labor.

Vito replaced my radiator, water pump, thermostat and timing belt. More recently replaced by upper and lower radiator hoses. My car is driving pretty good so far.

I would give Vito's, on 50 Arnot street Lodi N.J., a minus 100.. I got my car towed to his mechanic shop on Monday at 2 pm and it was their until Tuesday at 11:30 am..I went Tuesday at 9 am and Vito tells me, "In a few minutes we will work on your car"..I go back an hour later..Vito then tells me, "I have to move car's around and i will get to it soon"..So i left for about a half an hour then went back..So I stayed and waited..From the time he said he had to move cars around it was an hour and a half later..Vito didnt even look at my car he had his worker Hank look at it..I was surprised because this was my first time at Vito..So hank cranked my car up..RPM went up several times and misfired 4 times..Hank goes and gets his computer to check what was wrong..He tells me, "its a $10,000. dollar computer so we have to charge you $65.00 to use it plus $95.00 an hour on labor..I was surprised he need to use computer to find out what was wrong, for someone who makes $95.00 an hour but I had to let it go..I couldnt leave because i could have damage car more..ALL THAT WAS WRONG WAS A LEAK IN THE AIR THROTTLE..SO HANK TIGHTENED THE SCREW IN..AND IT DIDNT ACCELERATE HIGH ANYMORE..I THOUGHT WOW SOMETHING SO SIMPLE I PROBABLY WONT BE CHARGED ALOT..NOPE ..I WAS CHARGE $65.00 FOR DIAGNOSTIC PLUS $30.00 LABOR WHICH HE ONLY HAD TO SCREW IN TIGHTER THE AIR THROTTLE WHICHT TOOK NOT EVEN 5 MINUTES..I THOUGHT WOW, I THINK I GOT SCAMMED...SO ALL TOGETHER I GOT CHARGED $95.00 DOLLARS JUST TO TIGHTEN A SCREW..VITO THE OWNER IS A CROOK..I DON'T RECOMMEND VITO'S AUTO REPAIR TO ANYONE!!!! IF ANYONE GOES THEIR FOR A REAL MAJOR PROBLEM HE WILL STEAL ALL YOUR MONEY...
