The reviews don t do justice to how this business really is which is very sad. The quality work that they put out is insane really mind blowing. Diogos Team is not big but efficient. Quality takes time so when it s your turn you will realize It was worth the wait. There is no short cut it s always done how It should be done. Thank you D + Fernando for making sure my cars run great.

PICTURES ARE OF CAR CURRENTLY, NO WORK WAS PREFORMED BY AMS. I have a fully built 2020 GTI, every part customized to the brim full e85. Finding a reputable shop for custom kits is difficult. I called asking if they take insurance first. perhaps i worded it wrong.. but Didn t even have a chance to tell them anything else, like that, I already have the parts, including new fenders, and a bumper, and a duraflex mk7 front wide body kit. to make things simple, and was willing to pay cash, but I couldn t get those words out of my mouth because she hung up on me. before I could say the words. They lost big business and don t even know it. I m an influencer, and I ve been looking for someone reputable, and would have gladly recommended them and give them Notoriety to local subscribers, but that s them and their decision. I only posted my car so you guys could figure out who I am.

A few months back my Mk3 GTI VR6 had so many issues that it was getting ready to be lemoned. I've known AMS ever since I was a little kid, and am in love with all of their builds. I had Diogo fix what was wrong with it.. the work that was done was immaculate and he was able to completely fix all my cars issues!! I will. definitely take my cars to Diogo, and he is the only one I trust. check out their instagram @amsautowerks and you will stay stuck their for hours because all of their posts are jaw-dropping. P.S MOVE DOWN TO FLORIDA!!

Had work done to my car here no complaints at all. The workmanship is top of the line i was completely satisfied with the quality of the work done to my S class. Diogo and his wife were extremely polite and understanding. Would highly recommend anyone to do business with them.

They do excellent work. I had my exhausts custom made to fit an aftermarket rear bumper and they did an amazing job. The welds and piping have held up for over a year now. Their customer service can be better but they do really good work.

Had my Mercedes fixed here a few years ago Diego at the time was a stand up dude !! Quoted a price and fixed my car excellent paint and body work car looked great !!! Come to yesterday and had the worst customer experience ever !!! Came to the shop 3 times prior and did exactly what they told me to do comes the day to drop it off with a quoted price for repairs !! Diego doesn t even see or speak to me about changing the prices !!! And explaining anything the only person talking is his wife at the front desk speaking rudely and belittling me , which I don t understand cause as a paying previous customer no one should be treated that way , secondly wasn t explained why the price of the job got doubled besides the fact that it took longer to do then expected so confused As to why that is my fault !!! I m not a mechanic !!! You guys are so quote a price you honor the price !!!! You don t hit the customer with an inflated bill that is double what was originally agreed to !!!So yea as a patron of this estBlishment I won t be returning and be careful going here his wife didn t let me speak to him and he saw me and avoided coming to explain his bait and switch tactics !!!!

Amazing Shop ! Great service . Just had my coil overs installed on my VW and couldn't be happier with the overall experience between making my appointment , drop off and picking up my car. Called to ask for a price quote about a repair job and just got a bunch of attitude from Kelly. She told me 1) we are closed 2) they only do quotes via email. Okay, 1) if you're closed then why are you picking up the phone call? 2) I emailed you the same question and overall you just don't want me to spend money there. No problem, I'll go elsewhere.Her default response to this review will probably be "we don't have you down as a customer". That much is true because your terrible customer service didn't allow for this to make it that far (aka I dodged a bullet).

I ve been using AMS since they first opened up almost 10 years ago. I ve brought all my cars here for anything aftermarket. I don t trust anyone but Diogo and his team to touch my cars. Everything from my Audi A4 to my Mercedes S550, Diogo has worked on them all. Best in class! You can rest easy knowing that Diogo and his crew will treat your vehicle like it is their own. They put in the extra effort in all the details and won t cut corners just to slap whatever they are working on back together down to the bolts. For example; they took the time to clean the grease off the inside of my wheels for an axle repair!! That s the level of perfection these guys strive for. It s the while you re in there type service. A+++

Everyone leaving a 1 star review are all false info and just trying to defend some loser . With that being said this is easily one of the BEST auto shops ever. They work on your car as if it was their own! Very professional and clean custom work! #TEAMAMS

They resolved my problem. I took my Audi S4 to another shop at first to install a cat back. The previous shop I went to charged me $550 for the installation. Within $550, it involved my exhaust falling off 3 times. Everyone was telling how great AMS is. I went it took about an hour and 30 mins to resolve the issue. I thank AMS for taking the time to help me out with this problem. I've learned my lesson. I will more than likely bring my car here for more modifications!

These guys are good. Probably the best customization shop in central jersey. Hands down. Actually bringing my car in on Wednesday to get a set of coilovers installed and my fenders rolled. Can't wait. Get my suspension dialed in by the experts.

Have had nothing but good experience with this shop over the past 10 years when i discovered by sheer luck that they actually did all the high end paint and custom fabrication work for a HIGHLY respected shop that no longer exists. LOL youngs Collishion ;-)I do agree with some that they do take a bit longer than most to have custom services done but isnt that a testament to quality and demand for such? Do you really want a shop that say sure bring it right in we have plenty of time on our hands to install a fiberglass WB fender kit on your honda cvic I personally own several high end cars that have been serviced and HIGHLY MODED by AMS and i couldn't be happier with their services and pricing regardless of timeline completion.If its your only daily I understand the need to have it done ASAP then maybe this isnt the shop for you.But if you want top quality and proper pricing for such work then I personally wouldn t look any further.CHEERS M8s!FYI, a bottle CIROC APPLE goes a long way with the front desk girl on speeding up the appointment process ;-pServices: Transmission, Exhaust, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Painting, Electrical, Body & Trim, Welding, Brakes, Air conditioning

Diogo and his crew are the awesome. Sometimes the service can be slow, and wait times can go over expected but his prices are always much better than anywhere else. I take all my cars to D and he takes good care of me. The man can build some amazing cars and he always does a good job with everything I have every brought him. His bodyshop is top notch and mechanically the man can do any build. Half the price of dealer and 75% of most private shops. What you save in money, you might have to take in extra time, but its well worth it. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. If you want 'professionalism' like you would get at the dealer, go to RSWorx, but you are also going to pay the high prices. If you want a down to earth guy who knows what he is doing, bring your car to Diogo. His work speaks for itself. His customer service is fine, but he doesn't have a front office crew so sometimes communication can be lax. Been a customer of AMS for over 4 years and never once have I been disappointed.

Diogo does great work, BMW and overall car enthusiast. Best quote on my Rod Bearing service for my E90 M3. Had him also do front bumper respray, fender repair/respray. Quality work.

Diogo is one of the most creative and talented individuals I have come across in this business and his shop puts out some of the best quality builds in the US and essentially it is a 4 man operation which is remarkable. Whether you need OEM replacement or fully custom 1 off builds he is willing to take on your project. I have numerous experiences with him where he was able to squeeze me in for urgent service. The quality of his builds speaks for themselves and for such a small operation it is really remarkable what he is able to churn out. To top it off his prices are impossible to beat.

Absolutely disgusting service. Can't believe a shop like this has this many good reviews, I can guarantee that these are all friends and family of the owners. If you genuinely care about your car, take it down the road for your own good!

Pros: the person who repaired my BMW bumper did an excellent job.Cons: it took the shop a little over a month to fix and paint. The woman who handles the front office is not pleasant and she will give you the run around regarding the status of whether its done. IT TOOK A MONTH TO PAINT!!

The owners are very disrespectful. I have called a few times and was rudely dealt with by a lady on multiple occasions. Looks like I am not the only one who has dealt with this issue before. The owner is arguing and harassing people on their Instagram. Absolutely disgusting. Definitely never going here. Wouldn't even recommend to my worst enemy.

I placed a post last week that I am editing I have been going to AMS for well over 5 years now I have had my repairs there as well as some performance mods done there and had light body work done there as well. Deigo and his crew know their stuff when it comes to cars I have had my ups and downs with this shop my only complaint that I have had is that the time it take to get repairs done can be extremely lengthy and sometimes getting in contact with him to get a status on your car is a pain in the neck but knowing Deigo as long as I have and the kind of work i seen this shop produce is the reason why I always come back

Excellent work done on my Mercedes E55 AMG and Sl55 AMG exhaust systems.I also had my rear bumper painted and installed. Everything looks factory fresh.The guys at AMS are craftsmen at what they do and it shows in the quality of work. Didnt mind waiting a little longer for the quality work of a boutique style shop.I recommend them to all of my buddies!

I drive an E92 M3. Rod bearing issues scored the crankshaft. Bought a replacement engine from M Parts Worldwide and they recommended AMS Autowerks for the engine swap. Was a little nervous because I never used AMS before. It was Not an easy install, Diogo had to tear down the replacement engine and re-tune. He did an amazing job. My M3 now runs like new! The attention to detail was first rate. A Big "Thank You" to Diogo and his gang for an awesome job!! Also, Kelly did a great job keeping me updated on my repairs. Much appreciated. No matter what car you drive, no job is too big for AMS. Next up; exhaust modification, engine tune, DCT software upgrade. Will review when complete.

a respectable dealer quoted me ~$800 for 35k tune up for an 08 TT alone, Diego and his techs did the job plus oil change for another car for a little over half of the quote. They do maintenance and troubleshooting on stock and modified German cars, saw a show condition Golf GTI, S5, modded M3, RS4 in the shop, several of the cars were well written up in performance magazine. The jobs were done right and at a fraction of the dealer's quote. I'm glad they are around my neck of the wood! The storefront can get smokey, which didn't bother me much. I enjoy driving german cars, but hate to pay the outrageous cost charged by the dealers. The techs and Diego are friendly and easy to talk to. If one has to leave the car there, enterprise is around the corner. It may not be as convenient as picking up a loaner car from the dealer directly, but for big jobs, they are well worthed the little planning! Also, there'a an AMC theater and target, home depot shopping centers ~2miles from the shop. Great way to spend time running errands while they are saving you money!

Customer service is by far the worst here. It sucks they are the only licensed Unitronic in NJ. I went there twice to have a simple flash back to stock to pass inspection. It only takes 12-18 minutes. No one in the back cares enough to give me a direct answer when it can be done. I don't have the time to burn a day and wait for an answer. At least recommend an appointment. Nothing. Did I mentioned customer service is horrible? I'll take my business else where.

Had these guys work on my new Challenger to replace my two rear quarters with wide body quarters because i thought the price was rite. They botched the whole job and screwed my car. I was going to go after there insurance company to make matters rite and found they were not even insured. Left me no choice but to file charges against them and make it a court matter. Stupidity at its finest if thats what your looking for. Dont be fooled, these guys have no clue what they are doing. TAKE YOUR CAR SOMEPLACE ELSE

Surprised to see the mixed bag of reviews here. Took my son's A4 to Diego for performance clutch install. Very satisfied with service and price and will not hesitate to return.
