Phenomenal !!! I travel up this way 3 times a week. The oil light came on, It was recommended to stop here from the pharmacy across the street. There are exceptionally great people here. I don't recall if it was Michael or John that looked up in the computer for me the exact oil for a car I just purchased I was uncertain if the different number of motor oil could be mixed with the one that was on the label of the windshield. David, who is the gas attendant ran to the lot alongside theirs because my car was parked there, all in-between servicing customers. Everyone here was sooo polite, kind, attentive to my dilemma. When your an 1 1/2 hours from home, the simplest thing with a car could make you uneasy. These gentlemen are fantastic. I drove away smiling and calm. Have work done on your car here and I'm sure you'll feel the same way. Confident and peace of mind.

very happy with Mike and team. i thought my Promaster was a lemon, at only 95K miles, until they looked at it. they found internal engine damage and repaired. fixed trans as well. went from almost selling my van and buying a brand new one to having my van back on the road... great job!!!

You wouldn t even know this place exists unless you live in Lincroft or happen to get gas at the Exxon where this gem of a shop exists.A coworker highly recommended this place. She and her family gets their cars fixed by Mike who s the most honest mechanic that everyone has been searching for. She told me a story about having a leak in one of her tires. She took it to Mavic and they said she needed two new tires since she drives a 4x4. Deciding against this, she allowed Mike to take a look. He said there is a leak but I can patch it up and you don t need new tires. Wow. That s honesty.That story made me take my car in to see Mike. I thought about taking it to Stillwell Garage in Matawan but decided to try someplace closer since it s near my work and I can leave the car there all day. I m glad I did. I wanted a tune up and have it looked at.Originally I took my car in at Mr Tire in Brick for an oil change and they said I needed new tie rods. My car was making a clicking noise every once in awhile when I would make left or right turns.Joe called, I think, and said Mike looked at your car and your left front axle is going and need to be replaced. Your tie rods are fine. You don t need spark plugs nor a coolant exchange since they tested fine.Mr Tire said I needed new spark plugs and a coolant replacement. Huh. Didn t know you can actually test it.He did mention that I needed new transmission fluid which made sense since last I had it was 60K miles ago. My left rear tire was mounted backwards. Lol. Mr Tire can t even mount a tire properly, where I had 4 new tires mounted.He also said my left rear calipers is leaking and my right rear caliper is gone.Interesting because I just had them replaced 2 years ago at Stilwell Garage in Matawan. He said those calipers don t look like 2 year old calipers. How sad :(I wrote a glowing review about Stillwell and here I am, 2 years later with failed calipers. Did I get swindled? Did I get 2 new calipers and they just failed after 2 years? Or was my calipers ever replaced? I will never know because I m done with Stillwell Garage.What I do know is that I completely trust Mike because he had everything done by the time I got off work. All for a very reasonable price.Thank you so much for being honest. You guys are a rarity and I hope lots of people read this and see for themselves. You have just earned a lifetime customer. :)

Always has the best price and fast service! Will not overcharge. Support a young business owner with a family! Mike really cares and takes pride in his automotive work! Depending on the diagnosis it can be as quick as same day or a couple days at most for the availability of parts ordered. Quality work!

Old school neighborhood garage that cares about their customers and the relationship. We are so lucky to have these guys in Lincroft. Their prices are always much less than the dealership or chain garages and their quality is better. They never upsell!

I'm a retired mechanic that had his own shop for 30 years.I met Mike for the first time today and I can tell I'm glad I did. You will not go wrong with bringing your vehicle to him.He repaired my truck perfectly in one day. ...Mike, I inspected the work. Highly, highly recommend! It is true what everyone says. Mike is honest and will take his time to explain everything. I am so happy that I saw the great reviews and Facebook posts. If you need a repair, this is the place to go!-----------update as of 3/20/2018This is the ONLY place I will go to have repairs on my car. I brought my car today to get brake pads, rotors, and new tires installed. Mike gave me a great price (better than any bigger name companies). He makes sure everything was done right and he completed it in a timely manner. Again, I highly recommend this shop!

I was referred to this place by a friend. FINALLY! I found that mechanic that everyone looks for. Honest, fair, reliable, responsible, friendly. Diagnosed and fixed a problem on my Honda Pilot and the estimate was spot on. Fixed in the time he said. What more could you ask for? Almost made me wish I had more car problems just so I could go back! :)Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

Mike was great to deal with. He was able to get my car in and out of his shop very quickly. His pricing was beyond fair. I will be going back to him with any future car repairs. I would highly recommend midnight oil for all of your car repairs!

Mike was very honest and upfront when I initially called him with my concern. He told me exactly what he was going to do to diagnose the issue. Not only did he fix my issue in a timely fashion, but he went above and beyond to ensure that all the parts in my engine were in a safe working condition. My vehicle runs better now than it did prior to my issue. Highly recommended!

Over the past few years, he has always been able to solve the problems we've brought to him, with all four of our vehicles--both old and new. Love this guy and the work he does. He takes the time to explain each issue and what is needed to resolve it.

Honest mechanic. He took the time to sit and talk with me the phone and explain what was wrong with my car and how it worked. I felt like other places just tried to charge me a lot and not really explain why. I really appreciate them sitting on the phone with me and answering my questions! I will only be using them from now on

Highly recommend. I have used this repair shop several times myself and have referred friends too. I have had nothing but positive feedback in response to the quality and professionalism handling of their needs. All have said they will use them in the future. It's hard to find that one place that you can trust. For me and my friends this IS that place.

I was an hour from home when I got an alarming message on my car dashboard that I needed coolant immediately or there would be terrible consequences! I stopped at Midnight Oil. They had coolant for sale, but I wasn t sure which kind to use or if it mattered. I asked for help, a bit embarrassed that I don t know more about cars. I am grateful to say they got me squared away and back on the road in minutes. They showed a generosity of spirit that I truly appreciate in any business or person!

Got my car fixed here, and they did it quick when I really needed the car back quickly they told me a day I could drop it off, I dropped it off the night before and they had it done within 24 hours! Great service!

Someone below said it but it bears repeating: Mike is a car guy who fixes cars for a living. Not a tech just punching a clock at someone else's shop. I highly recommend Mike and this shop.

Awesome mechanic; takes the time to explain an issue if you don't know what it is. Takes the time to figure out the actual problem, doesn't just throw parts at it like most places. Quick, honest, and friendly service, will go back always.

We were traveling thru NJ on the way back to Maine. Spotted this service station. This guy is amazing!!!! Diagnosed the problem super quick, was very HONEST. He got us right in and fixed the issue so we could drive home.

Had an issue with the truck on the parkway and was barely able to get to this shop. They diagnosed my problem, ordered the part, replaced it and had me back out on the road within an hour.
