I've always believed that finding a reliable auto shop is like striking gold, and I hit the jackpot when I stumbled upon Carracino's Auto Shop. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by an atmosphere of expertise, warmth, and unparalleled customer service, and it all begins with the incredible "Shop Mom," Lisa.Lisa is not just a receptionist; she's the heartbeat of Carracino's, the person who transforms a routine visit into an extraordinary experience. As a 22-year-old who has already navigated the challenges of two problematic cars, having someone like Lisa on my side has been a game-changer. She possesses an unmatched dedication to customer satisfaction, going above and beyond during and after every visit to ensure I leave with a smile. One of the standout qualities of Lisa is her ability to translate complex mechanic jargon into plain English. After Roy, the skilled mechanic, explained the intricacies of what was wrong with my car, Lisa would patiently break down the details, simplifying the technicalities and ensuring I understood every aspect. This level of transparency was not only refreshing but also instilled a sense of trust and confidence in the services provided at Carracino's.Speaking of Roy, the mechanic extraordinaire, he is a true master of his craft. His expertise and knowledge are evident in every interaction. Roy not only diagnosed and fixed the issues with precision but also took the time to engage in meaningful conversations. I felt at home here, a sentiment I never thought I'd associate with an auto shop. What sets Carracino's apart is the team's genuine commitment to transparency. Roy provided a detailed breakdown of the costs and parts involved, ensuring there were no hidden surprises. This level of honesty is a rare find in the automotive industry, and it's a testament to Carracino's dedication to building lasting relationships with their customers. As a 22-year-old who has encountered my fair share of car troubles, I can confidently say that I trust Carracino's with any vehicle I own. The peace of mind that comes with knowing I have a reliable and transparent auto shop to turn to is priceless. In an industry where trust is earned, Carracino's has not only earned mine but has exceeded my expectations. I feel compelled to share my positive experience, and if you're reading this review, I strongly encourage you to choose Carracino's Auto Shop for all your automotive needs. If you don't want to be played, Carracino's is the place to go.

This shop is old school and new mechanics are very knowledgeable about the game. And very fair with prices did a wonderful job on my dodge Durango valve job. I was at another mechanic he told me they don t do engine work like that anymore. Well to make a long story short this shop gave me top quality workmanship.

I highly recommend this shop to everyone needing repairs. I have two BMW'S. (750i & X5) Way cheaper than bringing it to a dealer. And they do great work. If they can work on a BMW, they can work on most cars.

Very friendly and welcoming auto repair facility, old style school of fixing things.I had a couple of things done on my truck and my wife's, they took care of hers without issue, mine ran into a couple of issues with wheel alignment and back light replacement. Had to come back for the wheel alignment but Roy road with me to see what the issue was and jumped right on it, might be something more than just an alignment but probably the best its going to get. The replacement back light wasn't their fault but the suppliers, I have a hybrid Tahoe and for some reason they kept sending a regular Tahoe light, which is shape totally different but marked for a hybrid, took a couple of weeks to finally find the right one and without appt, I popped up and Roy stopped what he was doing to install the light without attitude or delay.. Sometimes its the little things that count, I know I should have made an appointment but he gave me service while I waited anyway and always courteous, this is definitely old school compared to today's service. I gave a 4 *, which is equivalent to my 5*, I usually never give 5* cause their is always some room for improvement, but good little family business and very fair pricing, thanks.

The mechanics here are very knowledgeable and patient! They don't mind explaining what's going on with your car and they understand you need your vehicle so they let you know exactly what needs to be done. Most importantly, pricing is fair, and they charge what is needed to charge! Not some conflated figure that has you wondering how they came up with that. I like this shop! Say hi Linda for me if you go.

Places like these are reasons why certain car owners like myself, dread sending their vehicles to the mechanics. Why, simple, the way you remembered how you left your car isn't how you get it back. Two major issues I have experienced dealing with this location, which SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN!!!!!.I left my car with the power lock buttons functioning, the same day I retreived my car is when i noticed the buttons stopped working. Okay, I called they say come Monday. Then I noticed a few things out of place, I thought would be normal if work was actually being done. Now I am no mechanic by any stretch, but I can guess that if you are ONLY running a diagnostic, you don't have to remove any items with the vehicle. So I place everything how I left it and to my surprise I notice my box of gloves are missing. I was beyond livid, because you have to place your trust in these places thinking they'll respect your property as if it's their own but that wasn't the case. So being that I was coming to this place today, I was going to kindly ask for my gloves after they fixed the issue they messed up. I was too hot so I went into the bay where these guys work and LO AND BEHOLD, WHAT THE PHUCK I SEE ON OF THEIR TOOL TABLES, MY DAMN GLOVES. So I kindly ask for my gloves, and the mechanic who STOLE IT, try to chat me up like I didn't know the con...so to you all, be extra carfeul of this. Better yet, find another honest place.... carracino auto repair

My car started overheating on the parkway a few months back, so I pulled off in Kenilworth. I made some calls and found Carracinos. They said their mechanic still around, but was about to leave, and would take a quick look before he left. He ended up sticking around for two or three hours after his shift ended, and they were supposed to close, to both diagnose and fix the problem, and get me back on the road. He even pointed out the problem to me, and helped me understand what was wrong, and what he needed to fix. When it came time for the bill, it was far less than I expected it to be with him working overtime to help me. They are incredibly friendly and helpful, and even though it s a bit out of my way, I plan to bring my car to them for all my future repairs.

If I can give this 0 stars I would. Honestly I don't do this often, but after this encounter I have too. The people over there are crooked and sneaky. I took my car to them back in 08/2021 to replace my ac compressor. As time prolonged now in 6/2023, I notice my ac was blowing warm/hot air. I did some DIY methods to recharge and fill refrigerant to see if that would solve the issue but to no avail. They told me that all parts are under warranty for 12k & 12months (verbally) where it should be stated on the receipt if that was the process. I still have my receipt from them and nothing was stated on my paperwork. Ac compressor should not be done within 2years. It usually lasts for about 10-15 years out. I still have my receipt from them. I called them to see if there's any solutions we can work out, and a lady and some guy were just rude and egregious over the phone. Never again will I come here.

If you don't care about your safety, then only you can take risks going to carracino's auto & truck service. After coming home, I found one lug nut was missing in three of my tires and when I message the owner, she said that "It is documented in our system that you were missing these lug nuts. Roy the mechanic explained this to you.". Honestly!! You will handover car with missing tug nuts after paying $2000 in repair cost. The mechanic never mentioned anything to me. Lisa also mentioned that she doesn't care if the customer reports this to BBB or police. BEWARE before going to this place and Lisa never returns phone calls or take no responsibilities whatsoever and she also shouted at me with attitude. NEVER returned phone calls, such a joke, plus repair cost was not cheap either. Again, if you care about your safety stay away from this repair shop.I am taking my car to the dealer to double check all their repairs to make sure my car is safe to drive. I wasted my time, money and mental sanity going to this shop. SIMPLY STAY AWAY

We had a terrible experience with a large chain repair shop and were desperate to figure out what was wrong with our car. We found Carracino's by chance and brought it in. They were friendly and professional throughout the entire experience. They even went to bat for us with the warranty company to get as much of the work covered as possible. e could not have been happier with the work or experience. Its an incredible relief to have mechanic that you trust to be doing the right thing for you and your family.Service: Brakes

Nice & friendly people BUT when it comes to actual car work I would suggest another place. They had my car for 7 days diagnosing overheating issues . They finally called on day 6 to say they had no solution but was charged 140 for them checking it out anyway.Okay.Vehicle still overheated on the way home... Was also told I'd receive an invoice for other issues the car had in an email that day but 5 days later still no email lol.Took it to IMG in Union the next day and they replaced the faulty temp sensor and thermostat it needed. (And at a cheaper hourly rate).Don't believe the stars, read the reviews...Service: Engine repair

I usually don't trust places with too many five star reviews, but this place deserves it. Exceptional service, great price, and honesty are hard to find in auto repair shops. I am glad I was recommended Carracino's when my Volvo needed a new alternator. They won a new customer in me and my family.

I came in with my Audi because I was having issues with the handling. Anthony and his brother took a look at the car and were able to identify I needed new tires. They gave me a great recommendation and deal and installed the tires, which made all the difference with my car's ride. I will definitely be coming back to these guys.

I've been going to Carracino's for years after having bad experiences with other mechanics in the past. This business is the only shop I trust to take care of my cars; I simply refuse to take my car anywhere else! The staff in this shop are very friendly and you can tell that they care about their customers. Outstanding service!

First off, I went to Carracino's because of the great "reviews" I've read online. However after my terrible experience here, it leads me to believe that most of these positive reviews might be fake and has been written up by their friends or by themselves just to make the shop look good. I got my car towed here early morning on a Monday to get a head gasket replacement and was greeted by Anthony. He seemed like a nice and honest guy and he told to that they couldn't give me an accurate estimate because they were having some difficulties finding the correct parts. He told me that I can go home and he'll give me a call once he finds out the prices by noon. I waited all day and no call. I call the next morning and Anthony says the same thing and says he'll have a quote by noon. So I wait again and still no call. Same thing happened on the third day when I asked for a quote so I decide to drive there myself by the fourth day to see what's going on. I walk in and Anthony was FINALLY able to give me a quote. He quoted me just over a thousand dollars to replace the head gasket and timing belt on my 88 Ford Festiva. I was told to pay half before they can begin so I pay them 500$ upfront and was told to come back by Monday (4 days later) and my car will be ready to be picked up. I go home and look at the receipt and they charged me 125$ for the head gasket kit and 67.93$ for the timing belt kit (which I later found out should have only cost below 100$ altogether). Fast forward to next Monday: I come in expecting my car to be ready and it wasn't even touched! I was told that it was a "big job" and to come in Wednesday. So then i call Wednesday before coming by the shop to see if it's ready and they said that it still wasn't. So I wait two more days and I drive to the shop myself Friday morning again expecting it to be done. I see my car and it hasn't moved from where it was dropped off at! I walk in and Anthony tells me that the parts JUST came in that day which I thought was funny because he told me the first day I came in that they only buy their parts locally. How can a local part take a week and half? So anyways after waiting almost 2 weeks I decided to just ask for a refund for my 500$ with the understanding that I'd have to still pay about 180$ for the parts they said they ordered. Even though the parts JUST came in that day, Anthony then tells me he actually left it at his house which doesn't make any sense. He goes on his computer and tells me the parts were actually 352.44$ in total instead of 180$. I tried asking him to show me their receipt from their supplier so I know these are honest numbers but he said he couldn't show it to me. Just desperate to get my car out of there, I just agree and get the 147$ back from my 500$. Anthony appeared to be a nice guy, but the things he said were inconsistent and just had too many contradictions. "The parts just came in but it's actually not here." "It'll be done by Monday" but still they still haven't started by Friday. "The price is 'this' but it's actually double that". I wouldn't recommend coming to this shop. Overall I was charged 352.44$ for parts that should have cost less than 100$. 2 weeks of my time has been wasted without a car. I was left waiting multiple days for phone calls I never received. Oh, and the parts that I paid 352.44$ for, I still don't have them. Anthony said he'd call me once he gets them. Ridiculous. Not to mention paying for a towing company to get my car there AND out of there. You are not treated as an important customer here. Save yourself the hassle and go to a different mechanic. Do you want great customer service? Honest prices? Quick Service? Well don't come to Carracino's because you won't find it here..

I recommend this family-oriented business to all my family & friends.. For years I have been without someone I can actually trust to work on my car. I'm happy to say today that I have a new auto mechanic within the Carracino Team. I personally want to thank you all and I only ask the you guys keep doing what your doing. I know where to go now in the event of any future issue that may arise with my car.

I moved into the area recently and am looking for a local shop whom I can trust and not worry about being taken for a "ride", I am happy to say that I found one in Carracino's. Family owned/operated business, very friendly people makes you feel at home, they don't try to push stuff on you will give the recommended work, good pricing, will drop and pick you up if you live close by which I think is really nice of them. They are very knowledgeable of the work they do. totally recommend them.Tony I am trying to reach you since yesterday afternoon I need my car tomorrow morning your guy was supposed to leave it outside it is not there can you respond to this post ASAP.

I have used Carracino's for multiple issues pertaining to my work truck. Not only did they correctly identify all the issues but they took the time to find all the replacement parts at the best available rate (never have I seen a shop take that much time to help out a customer). The work was done to the highest standard and done within the timeframe they stated. I highly recommend Carracino's, they are honest & trustworthy which is something you don't find anymore.

They know what they are doing and if you have a Volvo I recommend taking it to these guys. Volvo diagnosis can be tricky and not every mechanic has the experience or knowledge for a proper diagnosis. These guys have experience fixing Volvo s which is good. The owner Anthony is a very cool guy to work with.My biggest complaint is that the amount of time it took them to get a job done was very lengthy. However there were also times that it was a quick service. But a couple times I definitely got impatient and had trouble communicating with the staff. They are busy, just be patient. Overall good experience will come back again.

I went here based on a friends recommendation and their partnership with repairpal. I will NEVER return here. I ve wasted $1300, and I am paying to have the same work that should ve been done correctly re-completed somewhere else. In total my car stayed here for about two weeks in total of 3 visits of back and forth. I came here for maintenance of my vehicle for issues such as exhaust, brake change, and tuneup. I gave them my vehicle with no lights on the dashboard, but received it with a check engine light. When I received my vehicle, I barely made it home safely. I immediately went to autozone to have the check engine light diagnosed and was informed it was a cylinder 1 misfire which caused the car to lose 25% of its power, shake and stutter as if it were going to break down. I took the car back they stated the issue had been fixed but the same stuttering continued a issue I NEVER experienced before. To make issues worst, my brake light and abs light came on about 2-3 days later. I took the car back and they cleared the codes and the lights returned. I literally almost got into a accident last week because my brake had a spasm when I went to stop my car. Prior to going here I took my vehicle to the dealer to be diagnosed, no where did it list I had any issues with my engine, nor transmission. I could go on and on about my horrible experience but I ll stop here.

Now I went to another shop that was recommended to me by a family member after having blown my engine. After going to the other shop, I was still having trouble with my car and hearing noises and rough idle. After a while parts began to fail and I was having overheating issues. After doing research I came to my own conclusion that it was a head gasket, but didn't want to go the ripoff shop.I found Carracino's on RepairPal and went to them after seeing they honored a warranty, and after reading excellent reviews. I called them on a Saturday, and they told me to bring my car in Tuesday as the shop was busy.I brought my car in as soon as they opened Tuesday morning, and was nicely greeted. The guy (forget his name) wrote down what I thought was wrong with my car and after a good conversation, assured me my car was in good hands. Before I left he told me that they'll give me a call at around 12pm to tell me what the problem was. At 12:10pm the same day, they called me and told me that it wasn't the head gasket, but a whole bunch of minor problems. They told me that the engine I got in my car was just dropped into it and the spark plugs were mismatched and rusty (meaning the original mechanic didn't do his job), which would explain the rough idle. The noises I was hearing was due to random loose nuts and bolts left by the previous mechanic. Also my car was overheating because there was no coolant in the system (my fault) and it was time for me to get an oil change. Now they only called me to let me know what the problem was, and with my OK they proceeded with the work, which I noticed the other mechanic would do.I got the car back from them and it was running smoother than the day I bought it, but I kept hearing a whining noise; it didn't grab my attention (this was a week before Christmas). After about 4 days, the whining and screeching became horrendous, after inspecting the problem and going online, I assumed that it was the alternator or its belt. I brought it to them one night after work on the 23rd right before they closed (met the mother of the business, amazing lady). They tried lubricating the belt which failed, and told me to come back that Friday the 26th.On the 26th at around 10am, I went without calling, and they told me that the shop was having a delay and to return around 12, which I did. They took my car in, and I stayed in the waiting room, where they do offer coffee, a TV with a remote, outlets, and customer Wi-Fi, to help you enjoy your stay. They told me my car was ready after like 2 hours and it was because the alternator belt was slipping. They gave me my car back free of charge saying that when they did the work on my car the first time, this shouldn't have happened.Recently on February 16, I brought my car in because of overheating as soon as they opened. They called me at around 10 to let me know that my radiator had cracked, and would need a new one. Because I trust their work, I told them to do it after they gave me an estimate. By the end of the day, they updated me that my car was ready but they want to test drive it twice to make sure the problem was fixed. My car is running amazing, but now I think it's time for me to sell it, which they offered to help with.6/5 Stars definately a happ customer.

These people are SO nice. They fixed the car per their quote and in the time period given. Joe explained everything that was wrong, gave me options and the car ran great afterwards. He said he checked out the whole car while it was there because I told him I was driving it to TX. in a couple of weeks.I was frustrated missing work while they were working on my car and Jerry volunteered to drive me so I didn't miss any time. He could not have been nicer.A week later I brought the car back because I thought there was still something wrong and they looked at it again at no cost. The car was fine and ran well every since. I will tell my friends and family to go here.

I would highly recommend service here at Carracino's autobody. I was in a bad situation with my wife's car. They were able to take the car short notice and bring it back to life. The shop is big. Any minor or major work can be done here. They even receive many referrals due to other auto-repair shops not being able to handle big jobs.I am a satisfied customer. I plan to stay with Carracino's.
