Since I am new to this area, I searched online for the best rating and found GC. My Subaru needed new starter. Ron was so nice and made an every effort in finding the part with the best quality and the price. The work was done promptly. They are honest and trustworthy. I will recommend this place to everyone!

I have been going to GC Automotive & Performance for 3 years now. I have an older car. I had to have my air conditioning replaced and got a price from another shop in the area which wound up being almost double what GC Automotive quoted me. They replaced my air conditioning with no issues. Later in the year I also had a new starter put in. I priced around and GC Automotive was reasonable and quick. I also go for my oil changes. I can't say enough about this shop, they have helped me without breaking the bank. They are honest, reasonable and look out for their clients. I can't recommend them enough!Services: Auto A/C replacement, Air conditioning, Auto maintenance

I have been going to GC for several years and so have several friends. I know I am always safe with GC and Gary. He does a wonderful job and his prices are very reasonable. My car is older and I know it will be with me for more years because I go to GC.They deserve 10 stars.Linda

Dropped off my 1976 TransAm SD455 for some repairs and general maintenance. Gary's shop is right on point! Had the heater core replaced , cooling system serviced, all new hoses , belts, clamps, thermostat, master cylinder and of course all fluids serviced. As I get older - rarely does a day go by where I don't reflect on my regrets. Not making GC Automotive and Performance my go-to-spot is one of those.We Jeep owners are a finicky bunch - we don't know when enough is enough, and with GC Automotive in your corner, you can operate your cherished vehicle for many many more years than expected. Electrical wizards Mark and Greg did a superior job when they completed a total headlight replacement on my beloved 2002 Jeep Wrangler. The upgraded headlights were flawlessly leveled and installed with utmost care and precision troubleshooting during the process.If you drive an automobile in the State of New Jersey - bring it to GC Automotive and Performance. Drop the keys off to Ed at the counter, tell him what you want done he will give you a fair price and leave them alone. This Santa and Elf team need time and space to perform the wonderment that they do. The craftsmanship is wonderful.I whole heartedly recommend GC Automotive in Jamesburg, New Jersey. They have gone above and beyond in earning my rarely offered 5 star review.Service: Oil change

Gary and his team are the best mechanics! Cheap, accurate, quick everything you could want from car service. Also they are way cheaper than going to platts or the dealers and way more knowledgeable then a Firestone or mavis. I won t bring my car anywhere else.

GC Automotive has made repairs to my 20 year old Mercedes previously and has earned my repeat business. This time around my car needed repairs involving sensor problems with the gas pedal and also the front hood. Also needed parts replaced for keeping the hood up and for my windshield washer/ blinker assembly.All work completed timely and to my satisfaction. My brother, who is a top rated mechanic, said that the billing was reasonable for the work done. I will be returning when my car needs servicing!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I went for oil change but Rich always points out other needs for my vehicle when needed. I trust him and the work GC does to our family cars. Previously we were always getting fabricated information and getting ripped off from other well known advertised businesses on Route 18 East Brunswick. Great to work with. Gary really knows his stuff. Fast friendly and goes out of his way to help. I was stuck once and stopped in for some help. He got me back on the road within the hour and back on our way. After that I have always gone back to them. They give me great pricing and no BS. Its hard to find a good mechanic these days and I won't take my cars anywhere else. They even drive me home when I leave my car. Very nice people.

A great experience. Finally, a garage that is honest and reasonable. I will only take my cars to GC Automotive. They never push anything extra. They take care of you car issues without ripping you off like other garages. Trust your car with GC Automotive. Especially being a woman I was treated well and fair with honesty. Gary and his crew are great.

Very nice and efficient. Have an updated computer system to find past work that's been done on your vehicle. Quoted me how much the repair would be quickly and showed me why. Got my vehicle fixed quickly. They said they can do it and that's what they did. Would he happy to go back here for truck repairs. Ed at the desk is nice, polite, and knowledgeable. :-)

My family has been in the automotive business since the early 1900's. GC exemplifies the best I have ever seen in the industry. I left my van with them with an okay to fix my problem up to $500.00 ( my first time there... ), when they called the next day, I went down and it was something like $43.00. Everything they have done for me or the people I have recommended them to is done efficiently, on time and at a reasonable price...

I have been going to GC for about 6 years, can't say enough good things about the service and value. Over the years I have been to many shops, and many dealers, the shops never seem to get it right and the dealers were more focused on finding things that didn't exist in order to generate a huge bill, the fear factor bill!!Here is what I like about GC, you get expertise, honesty, and value. I have no desire to take my cars elsewhere and no need to ever pay dealership inflated prices when I can get better service and value right around the block!!

It's great when you find a good mechanic. It is even better when you find one you can rely upon. With GC Automotive, I have found both. Gary is great to work with. He is straightforward, gives you options, and doesn't try to sell you more than you need. The quality of the work is top notch. I highly recommend that you give GC Automotive a try.

I have been bringing my family's cars here for many years and have found GC to provide honest and reliable service at fair prices. Over this past weekend I found a used car I was interested in buying and Monday I called GC to see if they could inspect if for me. They said bring it right over. The inspection was done in 45 minutes and cost me $50 and Gary found a few things that needed attention I would have never seen on my own. I ended up negotiating several hundred dollars off the purchase price with the seller to account for these things so I made back my investment in the inspection easily and was able to buy the car the same day. I, of course, will be bringing the car to GC for service in the future. I feel very fortunate to have found an honest mechanic near where I live and work.

I ll never go again at this place.. can't be trusted. quoted $504 (reduced to $400) for replacing a part worth $117 (same brand available in market).. since I had my car towed already over there I think they knew I don't have any option, when I asked the part price and labor to understand why he's quoting $504 - the guy over there spoke so rudely - take you car from here... I won't take a penny less...they didn't even return the old part.. asking money for our own part from our car.. the guy over there he doesn't have any sense on how to talk to their customers..the owner over there, when she found this - called and apologize and offered $25 discount... :)still I was charged more than $300 for 30 mins of labor... what a great day today.

I have 5 vehicles in our family and I don't trust them to anyone but GC Automotive on John St behind the Dunkin Donuts in Jamesburg. Gary works on everything from family to antique to race cars. He always gives you options and has even talked me out of repairs till they were needed. He could have charged me for a new muffler but instead he welded my old one and it lasted 4 more years. He and his techs are great and are always there if you have an emergency and you need them for a last minute problem. You don't see to many other garages in town that have a rolls Royce or Bentley in the lot at some time. That tells you how good he is, and he's honest and has reasonable prices.

I was new to the area and needed a car mechanic. I asked a friend and she recommended GC Automotive. I'm so happy she did! Gary at GC Automotive is honest and fair!! His shop and the guys there are professional. I would highly recommend GC Automotive to anyone!

I don t usually leave a garage feeling satisfied, especially after spending money, but on this occasion I did. I really felt like they wanted to give good service and have me leave with a car they would be happy to let their kids drive. The car drives like new

Got my Nitrous kit system installed on my 03 Mach 1 by Gary and his guys. They did a really good job and I am very satisfied with the install thus far. I will be giving them any additional work I have on my car in the future. Try these guys and you will be satisfied with the quality of there work.

G C did a tremendous job for me. Lost the motor in my SRT out of the blue one day. Got it to them and they were very informative, compassionate, and gave me solid communication through the whole process of installing a new motor. They made an unfortunate situation better and even updated me with pictures along the way. I can't say enough about what a great job they did. I know every inch of this car and it came back 100% the same way it went in, minus the new motor of course. I would highly recommend G C . Thanks!

Very impressed with the work Gary has done on my 2005 blown GTO!! Work is done right the first time and he is honestly priced. I was very impressed with howmeticulous he works. He is one of the few people I trust to do work on my car.
