Spoke to owner, who was very friendly & seemed to be honest. Planed on having work done but the problem turned out to be minor & I was able to repair myself. Called to cancel work at shop & owner was very understanding. 2 thumbs up.

Rick and his staff are knowledgeable and easy to work with and they warranty their work at Affordable Auto Service and Parts in Hopatcong. I use to deal with other mechanics in the area until I kept getting shoddy work and ripped off and one shop refused to warranty their work after advertising that all of their work was under warranty for 2 years! Affordable is just as it says affordable prices honest work ethics and loyal to their customers. I was a fool way too long for going to other shops in town! Don t make the costly mistakes I did! Go to Affordable. You ll thank me for referring them to you.

I've gone here a handful of times and have had minor services to much more involved services done and each time my experience has been nothing short of incredible. I recently had an issue with my truck not starting and not only did the guys here drop everything to pinpoint what seemed to be an elusive issue starting but they also did it short notice to get me up and running as quickly as possible all while living up to their name and providing top shelf service at a great price. I am forever grateful to Rick and the guys here for helping me out so much and basically saving me from catastrophic failure. I am convinced after using other shops in the past that no shop would have done what Affordable Automotive did for me to get me back on the road so fast. More then commendable service this shop is exemplary and the epitome of great service in general.

From the quality of workmanship, the fair pricing, the quick turnaround, Rick and the guys at affordable automotive are the absolute best in the business. I can count on their work so much so I don t even get my hands dirty anymore. They are the best.

Rick, the comfort level knowing we are in good expert hands makes is huge to me. Good people, your solid way of explaining things as I am not a car fix it guy. I like that! Pricing and help with that seemed spot on and actually I thought a lot better than expected.

We just moved to area and came upon this auto repair shop. The car was looked at and I received a quote same day at no extra cost. I left it to have brakes done and it was completed next day. The price was affordable for the brakes and will be using this place again.

Had them do the 100,000 mile service, Ricky called me as there were some recalls on the transmission with my vehicle and wanted to know if anything was done before they dug 8nt9nthe truck!! Great pricing!! They used OEM parts and turned it quickly!! Cant be happier!

The best damn auto repair shop you'll find! I drive 100+ miles to have my car taken care of there. You get done what you need, the price is fair, the people are the best, and you can trust when you drive away the work was done right!If you're taking your car anywhere else well, you're just a damn fool.

Got an alert over the weekend there was an issue with the ABS and the traction needed to be serviced. Contacted Affordable on Monday and brought my vehicle in on Wednesday to be looked at. Was contacted later that afternoon and advised wheel bearing and HUB assembly had to be replaced. Repairs were done the next day - they even came to my house to pick me up because I didn't have a ride. The entire experience couldn't have gone smoother! Car is running great.

I've been to Advanced Automotive a few times regularly changing oil and changing and rotating tires. Rick had a great customer service on the phone and in person. It was easy for me to get a quote for and order new tires with him. He also checked my car for potentially lose fitting parts that I thought were making noise. Great service with no hassle, affordable service prices and feeling being always welcomed. I'll be back in late fall to change my oil and tires again.Services: Tires, Tire rotations

The guys replaced an engine for me. Engines are not cheap but the price was reasonable. They went over everything they did and all was itemized on the bill. I had a few minor problems not related and these guys took care of me. I highly recommend these guys to anyone with auto needs. Even though I do not live close, I will be servicing my vehicles with Affordable Automotive any time the need arises!!Service: Engine repair

Robert & Rick,I can t begin to express sincere thanks from me and my son for your seedy and friendly service. How lucky we were to be close to the I 80W Hopatcong exit when my 2002 PT Cruiser broke down yesterday at about 2:15 pm on our way from New York City to Cleveland. We thought we d have to finish our trip today in the storm after the mechanic at the first place we stopped told us we d have to leave it overnight to replace the damaged wheel bearing. I decided to search for another option and found that you guys were only 1/4 mile away. Thank God I did because when I spoke with Robert, he quickly looked up the parts for my 2002 PT Cruiser and determined that if that was the problem, he could get me out by the end of the day So we limped down Lakeside to your garage, where Robert met me and verified the parts, and Rick took our name and phone number, and said that they d stay late if needed to get me back on the road. Based on what the first mechanic said, I was still skeptical as we headed down to Knot Just Pizza for lunch. To my delight when we returned at about 4:45, it was already in the parking lot ready to go. You had already replaced the bearing and hub and test drove it, all within about an hour and a half. I realize pressed bearings are difficult to replace, a task that was not made any easier by the extensive damage to the rollers, which were flattened by the load in the dry casing that was devoid of any grease. To do it all that quickly for a walk-in off the street shows not only your expertise, but also your kindness to a couple of Ohioans who you are not likely to ever see again. How lucky we were to have found you when we needed both competence and understanding in our time of need. Thank you for doing what you do so well!Best regards,Jim Burrington
