I went to them with my car and they have gone above & beyond to fix it for me. Greg & Mark are personable and all around give wonderful customer service. The techs and mechanics are great at what they do. I am a forever customer now and will be going to them for anything my car needs. Great prices & they actually care to get your car up and running. If you need a good place to take your car choose AAMCO.

Mike and his team really take care of you! They were able to quickly diagnose and repair an issue with my Audi exhaust that I feared would have turned into a crazy expensive bill at the dealership.. I'm taking my vehicles here for all issues from now on! Thank you for the great service.

Recently, my 2011 Toyota Camry XLE was repaired at this place. They informed me that although they are known for transmissions, they also fix all types car issues. The front desk people were very friendly and immediately took the car in for inspection.I had a clicking noise in the rear of car and it was driving me crazy! After the inspection, they showed me that one of the shocks was leaking and needed to be replaced. They gave me a reasonable estimate and recommended to replace both. They also suggested to replace the sway bars which were the original parts and very loose and noisy! The repairs were completed as scheduled on time.I am very happy with the service. I would highly recommend this place.

Great first experience. Got my car done in a record time. Car is running smoothly now after they fixed my transmission that was making weird noises and froze on the highway. Mark was simply amazing in examining the car and explaining what the problem was. Completed the repairs for a reasonable price compared to nearby garages. Would highly recommend to others.Service: Transmission

AVOID AT ALL COST GOING TO THIS PLACE, PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF.I am a returning Aamco customer about a decade ago from another place in NJ. At drop off vehicle, I was hoping that vehicle can be repaired with reasonable cost and drive back home. My truck, Ridgeline was towed (Mid December, 2022) from Honda dealership.Unfortunately, this became a complete opposite & painful experience. They screwed-up big time and eventually I had to scrap the vehicle at the end. These guys are completely manipulative and record every single phone conversation and trap conversation into their favor. Moreover, they are dis-respectable and very harsh to the customer.Let me allow to elaborate more -First, the vehicle had oil mixture (trans & coolant) issue from radiator, but they started diagnosing transmission, quoting without looking at radiator first. At the time of drop-off, they didn t ask to sign any paperwork and mostly initial phone conversation and later email exchanges, etc.A Service person, Nick started a whole mess, a day after drop-off, he called with estimation about 4.4K; but asked me to PAY UP-FRONT and said already started working on the transmission repair based on the initial phone authorization. He was saying every single customer pays before the work.I was hesitated to pay ALL UP-FRONT. I understand initial deposit needed some cases for any special-order or outside parts, etc.I told them that I need to see written estimate before making any decision.A day after, they called me back for full payment again, they emailed estimate after insisting them again. I was really concerned he way they were forcing the payment ALONE. And I had to speak to Mark (Owner), he repeated the pretty much same., they throwing me example of Home-Depot, which has no logic.Next day, I had visit them to discuss further and check the vehicle status. They were very aggressive verbally, yelling, kept repeating pretty much on same, etc. Including radiator/oil replace expenses, the new estimate turns out to be 5.5K. THEY DID NOT ALLOW ME SEE VEHICLE EITHER. It is like a betting with lot of unknowns, more than anything lead into trust issues. I have completely disappointed and numb the way they treated me as customer and decided not proceed. I felt that situation could get even worst if I choose to work with them.At that point, only two choices a) Fix vehicle with their estimate of 5.4K+ or b) take vehicle back as it is. I told them that I need to my vehicle back. They respond back pay diagnosis fee of $685 plus tax, (Total, $730.38 ONLY CASH).And they will throw transmission, parts in the truck bed. So that can tow the vehicle back home. Also, they warned me if I don t pick up the vehicle after 2 days, they said will start charging storage fees. I lost patience and energy to deal with them anymore especially with their aggressive tone, .The day of pickup, I had to literally contact POLICE OFFICE Hightstown; requested to walk with me. At least, I also want to listen voice recording i.e verbal authorization and see the vehicle before pickup.I seek Police help because I didn t want to deal with further harsh conversations & felt not secure enough go alone. The vehicle s engine/transmission, torn apart in the shed, lift.I was not really sure if they removed on same day or earlier. At last, I paid cash $730+ and towed the vehicle and donate sadly. What an awful experience? sorry for a long writeup. At least, I want to share my experience, hopefully nobody have to go through same. Please do check vehicle picture(s) attached at time of pickup. In between, I tried to call Aamco corporate office and explained the issue; they just useless to customer, and they suggests me pay dues and take vehicle back.PLEASE DON T WALK AROUND THAT AREA.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

Took my 2012 RAM 2500 to this location because my transmission was hesitating from first to second gear, after they did their diagnostic they determined I did not need to replace the trans after all. They performed a hot flush and cleaned out the hoses and now it feels perfect again. I would definitely recommend this AAMCO under the new management.

Highly recommend this shop, I was told I needed a new engine on my Camry by my mechanic, got second opinion here and turned out an issue with the head gasket and an oil pressure pump which cost me a lot less to replace.

this place is atrocious! We took one of our fleet vehicles here to have the transmission worked on. They told us it would be done in 3 das. That was on 4/25/23. They had NO PROBLEM pulling almost $5000.00 from our account but every time we called, they were terribly rude as if we were bothering them. Finally a few weeks ago of being ran around we went to pick up the vehicle and take it to a reputable dealer. Just found out they DID NOTHING to the truck as it just sat there for 2 months. Now we are paying another $5,000.00 for the truck to be done the right way and we should have it back tomorrow. Can not get ahold of anyone at aamco either since im just held on hold (I wonder why) and obviously the hightstown one is closed now. Complete waste of timeService: Transmission

Owner Mark Balkovic is the definition of a dishonest mechanic. These frauds accepted my vehicle for work on my transmission, they did a diagnostic, found issues and I paid for transmission repairs. They took my money, and act like me calling and asking what's going on is an unacceptable thing for a paying customer to do on their own vehicle as weeks rolled by. Fast forward to Monday 6/26/23 I called again, and apparently this shop is no longer belong to AAMCO because they are so terribly reviewed because of the atrocious shady service they provide, AAMCO is closing the franchise. AAMCO rep who was on site told me they have my vehicle, mid-repair, and that this garage will no longer be working on it, gave me no information otherwise and told me to call Customer Service...... I haven't been able to get a hold of any human being either with this scummy shop or AAMCO. I cannot fathom why they would accept my work, only to essentially close the business two weeks later. Currently I have no clue what the status of the repairs are, I have no clue where my vehicle is, and not a single person has ever reached out to me despite HOURS on the phone trying to reach someone for details. I still haven't had a single person contact me as of writing this, I have never ever heard of this in my life and it is astonishing this is how customers are treated. Owner Mark Balkovic is a reprehensible person.Update: AAMCO never did anything about this absolutely disgusting situation and left the entire customer base without any help. My vehicle had to be towed at my expense to another facility where they confirmed the transmission work was never done. AAMCO closed the site since the owner was severely delinquent in franchise fees AND he was criminally charging customers for work not completed. AAMCO could not have cared less, they never answered phones or emails and did absolutely nothing to help the customers they failed. I want to personally thank VP of American Driveline Mike Pekula and VP of Customer Support Quinn Calahan at AAMCO for doing absolutely nothing to help, this company is a sinking ship with people like them around. Unheard of situation, and they pretended like it wasn't happening.Service: Transmission

While things got off to a rocky start - with significant delays on a transmission rebuild, in the end, Hightstown AAMCO and its corporate parent company were able to provide an acceptable solution and get me my Ford Transit Van back with a remanufactured Ford transmission. Thank you AAMCO taking the high road, and I also appreciate owner Mark Balkovic providing me a ride home from the shop.To prospective customers, I would suggest clarifying with this business the details of the repair, costs, anticipated date of repair completion, and any possible risks to that timetable.Service: Transmission
