I have been going to Mike for years (and Franck before!) and if my 2007 Ford Focus is still working it s because of them! I mean- I dropped off my car on Wednesday at 10:30 and it was done at noon. They are great: honest, efficient, and amicable. I highly recommend them.

PAUL!!!! The tow guy with a bow tie. Give this guy a raise and a TV show!!!!First, we called AAA for a flat, they sent someone from another shop who was so unprofessional and rude. Blessing in disguise because Paul came into our lives. He called letting us know his ETA, asked how I was on the phone, arrived, and what a show!He greeted us with the best attitude and explained everything every step of the way. He asked permission before touching something new, let us know what he was going to do, and entertained us while doing it. The jokes that he had were viral YouTube worthy like that salesman selling cleaning supplies door to door.He is so knowledgeable of what he does. He explained why he was doing what he was doing while he was doing it. He fixed the problem the other company didn t even attempt to. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

I think Mike is a Great Honest Mechanic. While driving my 4WD SUV, the transmission oddly stopped working. Rolled to a stop and the transmission would not go into park or any gears. The vehicle was towed to Mike s shop Edison Automotive and Towing. The next day, Mike inspected the car and informed me the car was working. It is a mystery why the car started working again. Mike and I were both puzzled. Mike could have easily taken advantage of the situation. I appreciated his honesty and inspection services. The next time my vehicle needs service, I will bring it to Mike s Shop.RegardsAlan

Mike's easily one of the best mechanics I've ever been to. He's friendly and professional and quotes fair prices. When I first moved to Highland Park, a different mechanic in the area tried to quote me >$1600 to replace my front and rear brakes and rotors (this was pre supply chain squeeze too!). I went to Mike to get a second opinion, and he quoted me ~$300 for just my front brakes and rotors and said my rear ones were perfectly fine. Edison Auto has done it all on my old CRV - replaced front suspension, changed out my brakes, oil changes, and has done nothing less than fantastic. He's clearly dedicated to what he does and I appreciate that. 5/5 stars - he's my mechanic as long as I'm in NJ.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Brakes

I came in with a clutch problem for my 5 speed manual with only a vague idea of what was wrong with it. I described the issue, left my truck, and then Mike (I believe the owner) diagnosed it via a road test and a visual once over. He explained several parts that could be wrong with it and recommended a solution. I okayed it and moved forward with the repair. In TWO days Mike had fully replaced the clutch at a very reasonable price! Mike then sent me some photos of the process to show me exactly what was wrong and explained each of the parts of the repair. Totally great service, and the truck is driving like new.5/5! If I had another problem (crossing my fingers that I don't) I'd bring it here again. The level of communication really settled my nerves and helped me along in deciding what to do. Thanks again, Mike and Co.

I may have written a review for Edison Auto in the past, but it's worth writing another one. Mike & his team are exceptional. They are always honest and professional, while making sure they provide the best work.

I had the amazing pleasure of meeting Paul the bow tie guy. He was extremely professional and very accommodating. Truly an awesome person who represents the company well! He talked about how happy he is to work for his company and what an amazing boss he has.. WOW !! He towed my motorcycle for me and made a miserable experience very pleasurable. Thanks for employing great people!!

Today my Jeep shut down becoming disabled on 287 and I called AAA for a tow. Edison Automotive tow truck driver "Paul" responded and immediately called to inform me of his current location and what his estimated time of arrival would be to my location, which was a short wait from when I called AAA. He asked how I was doing on the side of the road and I told him I was doing okay, he got my attention and waved making sure I saw him as he passed southbound before turning around at the next exit returning to my side of the highway. It was hot outside today and Paul greeted me with with a cool cab and offered me water if I needed it. Right away I knew I had a great driver. I have been towed quite a few times over the years using AAA throughout the country. Paul was the friendliest and most professional driver I have ever had the pleasure to meet, he hooked my car up right away and on our way we went just before the rush hour traffic became heavy.I want to commend the excellent service provided by Paul, he was outstanding and it was clear he really enjoyed helping out. In addition, he is a great person to talk with during the trip and he knows the area well. He is very courteous and well prepared for the job, thank you!

The only mechanic I visit because after years of me and my family coming here for repairs or diagnosis, they have been nothing but honest, helpful, and reliable. Mike is the man you want to talk to! For what a pain it is to need a car repair, they definitely make the process a whole lot easier. Edison Automotive is the best! Such a honest place. Does the best work for you. It truly breaks my heart due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Mike had to close his doors. I hope that by some miracle he returns. I cannot imagine going elsewhere. Mike - we will miss you! You and your staff were the best!!!!

If you're looking for a real mechanic and not a parts replacer, look no farther than Edison Automotive and Towing. Mike is a top rate mechanic and truly cares about his work. He won't sell you services you don't need and his prices are reasonable.

This company is horrible! We called AAA because we had locked our keys in the car in the parking garage by the New Brunswick train station. After about a half hour we get a call from a guy from Edison Automotive asking for directions. We explain that we are in the parking garage. He continually repeats that we have to let him in. We explain again it's not a building, it's a parking garage. He hangs up on us. Nothing. Five minutes later I call back. He says he's not going to ask us again to let him up. I again explain it's a parking garage. He yells at me that he has a flatbed and hangs up on me. A few minutes later a middle-aged African American man shows up with a few tools in his hand. When I ask if he's from AAA he says yes. When I ask him if he was the one I spoke to earlier he says "that doesn't matter". Except it does to a girl in an empty parking garage at 1am. He then takes forever to unlock the car, needing assistance from my fiance and continually setting the alarm off. When he finally gets it open, he just walks away. Not a word. So incredibly unprofessional and rude. I would never recommend a place that has employees that have a complete disregard for human decency.

Excellent and professional service. They go above and beyond. Told me exactly what was needed no ripoffs .work done in a timely manner. Paul was very personable and helpful. They are definitely my mechanic now!

I have used this shop for years.I moved a couple of years ago and it s now a 20 minute drive to take my car there-but I always end up coming back because I can t find another mechanic who has the integrity, fair prices, friendliness and service of this place. Highly recommend Mike (owner) and Edison Auto!

I have been to this place for oil change and some minor repair work. The person at the reception is always very nice. The advice he gave tells you the shop does not push you to have work done which is unnecessary.I recently called them up for a quote for some work on my car. The quote I got was much less than the dealer's, like almost 40% less, and there is additional work included in that quote already, when the dealer's has none.This place was first recommended to me by a friend. It has not disappointed me so far.

I found Mike s shop about ten years ago while I was attending Rutgers and continue to go to here even though I now live in Jersey City. Extremely reliable and charged more than fair prices. I would highly recommend getting work done here to anyone!

I have bring our fleet vehicles to Edison Automotive for years nowand only same that he has been HONEST and fair with the pricing as well as the repairs. When you bring your vehicle in for one thing he wont try to up sell you on what you do not need. He will advise you of other issues that will need to be addressed soon.

Honest service. Straightforward, no nonsense advise and work. It was such a refreshing change from my typical experience with car mechanics. I wish I lived closer so I could make this my permanent repair shop.

Mike is the best! He's honest and trust-worthy. I moved away 3 years ago and I still go to him for repairs, advice, etc.
