I ve been to this location a couple of times. I like the fact that they pay attention to detail.For months, on a weekly basis I ve been putting air in my tire. Took my car to Lexus and they said they would inspect it (I m pretty sure they forgot) and at the end of my service they said nothing was found. At Midas, I was finally told there was a nail in the tire. And, they offered solutions for it to be fixed.I would say to make an appointment if you can because they do get quite busy. I love the fact that my wait time is never really that long. The man who serviced my car was very nice and knowledgeable and I have no complaints. (I wish I knew your name!) I would recommend and return for service in the future.

Best mechanic shop in NJ!!They can do it all, from a simple oil change, to restoring classic cars.The shop s manager Naseem is super friendly, and he explains everything in such great details, to make sure you know exactly what your car needs and how to make it feel brand new again.

I extremely happy with the overall experience I had at Hawthorne Midas. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. From the moment I walked in the door I was met with kindness and professionalism from Hilda who helped me at the counter. The work was done in a timely fashion. When I have future needs I will definitely chose Midas again. They are so polite, knowledgeable and professional!

Went in for an oil change because I had a coupon and my initial impression was good, but this quickly soured as the time progressed. I was told that I needed a new drain plug because mine was stripped, a sway bar link which was broken, and to have my rear wheel bearings cleaned and repacked. I agreed to the drain plug and declined the other work for several reasons.1. My 2008 Ford Ranger has wheel bearings located within the rear drive axle. This means you would have to drain the rear differential fluid, remove the axles, slide hammer the old bearing out and then press in a new seal and bearing before re-assembly. There is no way that these bearings could simply be "cleaned and repacked" to resolve an alleged problem.2. The sway link, which is literally a fifteen minute job, was priced at $79.99 labor and $30 for the part. I declined both with no issue from the manager.3. However, upon coming home, 25 miles away mind you, I noticed that the "New" drain plug was leaking oil. Why wouldn't you verify that your replacement wasn't leaking before sending me on my way? The drain plug was NOT leaking prior to service. I called the next day and Nick, the manager, told me that my car was broke and that he told me I needed an oil pan the day before. Never said this to me or put it in writing. I asked for a supervisor because my truck was NOT leaking prior to service and he would not put that person on the phone. I asked for the corporate number and was told, "Go look it up online! or google it!"I've already put in a request online with Midas consumer Affairs, but buyer beware! These guys will try to take advantage of you if you do not know cars. I am an ASE certified automotive tech with 30 years experience, who simply wanted to save my back and not lay on the driveway to change my oil, and they can't even do that correctly. Disappointed does not begin to cover my feelings right now. My next post will be to the BBB if no satisfactory action is taken on my behalf.

I only go to this Midas whenever I have to get any work done on my car. Great staff and great service since day one. Hilda even checks to make sure everything went good and even sends reminders for next service. If you are looking for good work done give them a call. You won t be disappointed.

I was very impressed with Naseem and the owner at Midas. I just moved here and needed to find a repair place I could trust. They were honest and efficient, and gave me a good price. They even gave me a ride home while waiting for my car to be repaired with same day service. I highly recommend this place.

Great people. Scheduled online, they called to confirm, took my car on time. They told me what I needed, but did not try to upsell me. $34.99 oil change special! Fast, courteous service, texted today to check in. They deserve more stars.

Brought my car in for a repair that Midas did 6 months prior, they would not honor the original work and said they had no record of the transaction. Then there inexperienced mechanic tried to tell me I needed shocks and tires which I clearly did not need. Word of advise, take your car to a local trusted mechanic. Would not recommend

I had my car tyre and breaks changes from midas. I initially had a squeaking sound coming from break but they were willing to work with me and fixed everything in a timely manner. I appreciate Hilda s response and follow up for this work.

Took my car to Midas to check my Front end. They found the problem and gave me options. to repair. Staff is very professional and clean shop and friendly staff. We recommend for any car service here at Hawthorn Midas in NJ.

It s like I paid them to make my car run worse. Not one thing was done correctly. One example, I noticed power steering fluid would leak, wanted to change that, they said I needed a new rack and pinion, second day with the car back steering wheel locked on me WHILE DRIVING. Took it back, they said they worked on it and solved the issue. Meanwhile now to turn the steering wheel to pull out of a parking spot, I have to put in a ton of effort. It s literally worse than when I brought it in. And that s just one of the issues.Services: Transmission, Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, Steering & suspension replacement, Brakes, Oil change

This midas location is Awesome & the manager Naseem was outstanding & very professional plus he greeted me right away like everytime I go there. The Technician Mike was very friendly and resetted my oil life meter. I will definitely recommend this store .

I am extremely satisfied with the service I've received at Midas in Hawthorne NJ. I've had my breaks replaced and then brought my car in for an oil change. I thought there could be an issue with the front end of my car because there was a knocking that had just started. I actually dropped it off before they opened so I wasn't able to ask them to check it. Very early in the day, I received a call to let me know that they did find a few issues that had to be fixed. I was given a breakdown of all the costs and when I went to pick up my car, that is the exact price they charged me. Taking your car to the mechanic is like going to a doctor. You don't know everything they know so you have to trust them. It's not easy to find places like this. I would highly recommend this Midas to everyone.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

I visited this location right after I bought my car. Naseem was the best from start to finish. He so polite, professional and very knowledgeable. I received an oil change and had my engine serviced. The mechanic Joe fixed the problem found, just in time before I had my car inspected by the MVD. And I passed the inspection with no problems. And Hilda is also amazing after the process was done she followed up with me to make sure all was well. I even got an message from her, months later reminding/asking if I wanted to get on schedule for next oil change. SUCH GREAT CUSTOMER CARE!!!

We started here for just oil changes . my husband has always been a dealer only repair guy until he let them do a service ! The skill from their mechanics is high across the board on every vehicle ! Knowledgeable and affordable
