The shop cat Frank is the best! They mounted and balanced my tire for only $20 and an oil change is less than $40. Shockingly good prices, will go here in the future for more in depth work for sure.

Normally I don t do this but if I can save others from being robbed then I m going to share. Dropped my car off yesterday morning for an oil change. First called to see if I needed an appointment and they said no to just come in. We drop the car off they said they weren t sure how long it would take. End of the day still no call and they had already closed. I go in this morning was told by receptionist that it had not been done and apologized offered to get it done on the house. I was disappointed with the service and chose to just go somewhere else. As we re leaving the mechanic came out and said they were confused and the oil change was completed. We paid and left. When we got home we realized the mileage sticker was NOT changed and tire pressure was still low (which had been itemized on our receipt). Took the car to Firestone to check if it had been done since that s where we went last time. Popping the hood the same oil filter was still in it and the oil was low. Firestone and Black Bear use different filters which is how we know they in fact did not give the car an oil change but they still charged us anyway.We went back and told the receptionist and explained to her. To which she responded that the mechanic told her it had been completed. We asked for a refund and she apologized and obliged. As we re leaving we hear the mechanic say that it s horses**t and he did do it . Evidence proves otherwise. Again we always support local businesses but when it s actually a scam I can t support that.Service: Oil change

We have been bringing our cars to Black Bear for almost 2 years now on the referral of a friend. We cannot say enough wonderful words about this company. Not only do they do great auto repair but they are honest- affordable- and personable as well! If we ever move away we may still drive back to them...

Stopped in for a slow leak in my tire and they got me in right away. Work was quick and the price was incredibly low. They did the right thing and if I need help again they have my business.

DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!! My car sat there for 3 weeks finally when someone went to look at it they told me my hood was jammed closed and they couldn t get it open when I had zero problems with the hood before this and was also working when the tow came and picked the car up!! They said they would try again that day and let me know. Never heard from them. I called and called and called no one picked up for three days. Finally someone picks up after I tried calling back to back and they say tow it somewhere else because we can t get the hood open. What mechanic shop can t get a hood open?! Huge waste of my time!! Do yourselves the favor and avoid this shop all together.. there are so many in the area that are willing to actually HELP you instead of make your life hell!!

My lights barely shined in the dark. I thought I needed new headlights which is super expensive but Kevin buffed them out for me! They went from foggy to glass!! And I can drive at night no problem! Saved me hundreds! Thanks so much!!!

My truck sat at black bear for 6 weeks. The job was going to cost 350 i gave them 150 because jo the owners wife said she was broke I gave them the money and job was suppost to be done that day and it sat there for another 3 weeks called them numerous times and she ignored my calls because when I called from a different number she answerd I eneded up having to tow it somewhere else and jo is only willing to give me back half if what i gave her I will not be recommending this company ever again

I get my oil changed all the time at Black Bear. They do a great job and they are very reasonably priced. The staff us very friendly, really nice.

Your old car has a problem, so you bring your car to them. They will work on the car and bill you. You paid them, but you later found out that the car problem did not get fixed. Very dissatisfied. Was told they would look at it that day. 4 days later they still hadn't looked at it. I called many times and would never get a straight answer and then they just stopped answering my calls.
