I am new to the area and found Luis through online reviews after my wife's car window malfunctioned and would not close.Even though I unknowingly showed up outside of his normal business hours, he took the time to help us and fixed the problem. He was honest, gave me an excellent price, and got the work done quickly. We will definitely be returning here with all of our future car maintenance and repair needs.Highly recommended.

Luis and Jose are the best mechanics in the area. We have known Luis for years now and not only is he a master at his craft, but a truly good man. He is honest, extremely knowledgeable, and does great work. Xcellence by name, excellence by nature.

Outstanding experience. I was tired of the Dealership and their constantly changing prices.The team here were friendly and engaging. They spent more time with me on understanding the diagnostics in one appointment than the dealer ever did.I won t take my Audi anywhere else going forward. I highly recommend Luis who dedicated quite a lot of time to first properly diagnose the issue with my vehicle and then complete the repair (correcting the shoddy work performed by another shop). Luis is an expert in his field, As I am not local to Hackettstown, he also sent me videos during the repair to explain his progress. Truly over and above customer service. Great place, very friendly and knowledgeble!! I got stranded on the highway going to the Poconos, and the tow truck driver only recommended Xellence for my Bmw X5. The owner, Louis took great care of us, fixed the electrical problem in great time and even took the time to give me advices going forward, what oils to change, what parts to use and what not to do in the future. Thank you!

Someone affiliated with the owner confronted me at my job about a poor review I left. Cussed me up and down. Don't go here unless you want to deal with retaliation from the establishment when u have a problem with the poor quality of work done to your vehicle.THANKS AGAIN!

Over the course of the last 10 months my BMW X5 has been both serviced and had two major repairs performed (necessitated by accidents) by Xellence Motor Service & Repair in Hackettstown, NJ. Owner, Luis Penaloza, is an expert, BMW and Porsche factory-trained, ASE certified technician who I have found to be "best of breed" when compared to so many others I have used over my nearly 50 years as a licensed driver.The knowledge, professionalism, levels of service, integrity and courtesy demonstrated by both he and his staff not only impressed me beyond words, but also saved me thousands of dollars vs. recent and prior experiences I have had with either dealerships and/or several other automotive service or repair shops I have utilized over the years. Luis goes the extra mile in all regards , which, , in turn , reduces headaches, hassles and makes for a very happy customer as well as a properly serviced or repaired vehicle. In fact,, he recently has corrected shoddy repair work and either poor or incomplete service work that was performed by other shops, again saving me $$$ and unnecessary problems down the road.Xellence delivers big time when it comes to providing accurate estimates, timely and impeccable workmanship and the sort of old school customer service that should be the norm for we consumers, but is increasingly difficult to find in today's marketplace.Thank you Luis and Jose for meticulously restoring my vehicle to A-1 condition, saving me time and money in the process and for sharing with me the first class treatment I now know that you extend to all of your customers. I cannot recommend Xellence Motor Service and Repair to others highly enough and will not only continue bring my vehicle(s) there because they have truly earned my loyalty and trust, but I will wholeheartedly recommend them to others without reservation.
