Want to give my highest praise to Mavis Discount Tire of Hackettstown for two reasons. First, I brought my car in without an appointment due to a leak in my tire. They took it in , fixed my tire and declined to accept payment because I had to wait more time they felt I should have despite my requesting to allow me to pay. More impressive to me though was witnessing them respond to another customer who car they could not repair in time to allow her to go home and get her dog to the kennel. They arranged for a car to pick her up, bring her home to get her dog, bring both of them to the kennel and transport her back to them to pick up her car. They went above and beyond for this customer. It was a proud moment to witness and should be recognized. Well done!!!

Each time I hand in my car for servicing, I sit back and relax knowing that experienced professionals are doing what they do best quickly and efficiently. The workers are good at analyzing and communicating my car s needs and are friendly as well.

Exceptional service. The team works together and efficient. I made an appointment online the night before, when I arrived they took my vehicle in immediately. They addressed and solved the issue with no problem. James at the front desk was very helpful and friendly even while juggling a busy schedule! Keep up the good work guys!

I took my SUV here for balancing the wheels and alignment and it was very fast. I left the car and went back after they called me, 20 minutes after. The place is very clean and they have a waiting area where you can enjoy your coffee. I walked to sweet bites delight bakery from here and enjoyed my tres leches after dropping off my car.

Always fast and friendly, extremely communicative about what my vehicle needs. I especially appreciated how the tech brought me into the work area to show me how my brake pads were running low and explained how it would affect my car s performance, and about how long it should be before I had them serviced.

I came here after a roadside emergency, with multiple issues that needed to be addressed. It was only two hours before closing and they were very busy, but they still got me in. James was so helpful answering all my questions. I did not feel rushed at all. Great service!

I wish there was a no star option. My appointment was 10am and my car was finally getting work done at 2:30pm. All I needed was new tires and an alignment. The wait time is unbelievable. Never coming back again.Update got my car back at 4:20pm

Do not get the road hazard warranty. The policy not only times out after 3 years and if they cannot fix a puncture the replacement is not free. They conveniently leave this part out when they try to sell it. My free replacement was over 120 dollars . On a tire that had 5k on it. Between the cost of the policy and the replacement I would have spent less money if I replaced and installed the tire without the policy. I immediately tried to cancel the policy on another set of tires I purchased that has 20 miles on them and they would not budge.

Amazing service. Bob and James changed my tires and aligned my car extremely promptly. They even found me deals on tired because I was a bit short on money. Shortly after, I sadly got a puncture in my tire that was within the sidewall From a nail. They could not fix it but found me replacement tires and got me back on the road very quickly. I highly recommend this business for all you tire and alignment needs.

I came here for a TPMS issue I was having with my car. James and the staff here was attentive and took the time to find and diagnose my issue with the vehicle. They went above and beyond what I expected. Going forward, I will be coming here for all tire work for my vehicle. I highly recommend coming here. Great atmosphere and a very friendly staff, even early in the morning! Thanks James and everyone for the help!

Came by with an emergency, nail in my tire. Unfortunately we weren t able to get a patch on the tire (because of the nail placement) but they quickly put my spare tire on. They were incredibly helpful and gave some invaluable advice. Thanks to James, who I spoke to on the phone and assured me that they would be able to help me out. Bob was at the front and spoke with me about my next steps and was positive throughout the whole experience. He turned this stressful moment into a pleasant opportunity to speak with a knowledge professional. Will definitely be back!

I have to take the time and wright this review for Mavis in Hackettstown, NJ.My wife and I have been doing business with them since they have taken over STS. James the manager, Tom, Dan their head mechanic and the rest of the crew there are fantastic to work with!I have been working on cars, trucks and Motorcycles my whole life. I have built many engines and have rebuilt many Motorcycles, Cars and trucks over my life.I have also owned many business and own a cleaning business with my wife and we are extremely busy so time is an issue for us which doesn't leave time for me to maintain our vehicles.Our business and personel vehicles need service such as oil and filter changes, brakes, tires, alignments etc. so I send them to James.I am the person you want to buy a vehicle from when I sell them because I always make sure every vehicle is service when they need to be serviced and keep all the records.I have purchased many sets of tires from Mavis over the years. I bought two sets last year and a set this week for are RAV4. I have never found a better out the door price anywhere which includes tires, mounting, balancing, road hazard ( if you want it), tire disposal, shop supplies and tax then Mavis EVER!Most people do not have the knowledge that I do, this is just from a lifetime of experiences doing it. I just sharing this so when people are looking to make a tire purchase, have the vehicle aligned or have their brakes done they will feel comfortable doing business with James, he and his crew will definitely take care of you.Tell him that I sent you!

As a woman, it is not often that I ve gone to a service station and not felt taken advantage of. At Hackettstown Mavis discount tire, I always get a full explanation, options, and a phone call before anything is done. Estimates and cost have always lined up with research I ve done beforehand. Further these guys make every effort to get the car done promptly. I have never felt they are being condescending when explaining things and every bit of maintenance or work on my car has been done well & given me a feeling of safety when I get it back! It s been quite some time since I ve gone to anyone else!

Shoutout to the guys at the Mavis Shop, it's clean, professional at all times, and great service. I wouldn't want any other shop working on my car. If you got car needs bring them here they will take care of you and big thanks to Tom, James, Bob, Bryan, and Jeremy man appreciate you guys a lot will definitely be coming back!

Stay away! My recent experience at Mavis Tire in Hacketstown was marked by a regrettable combination of factors. Firstly, Tom s demeanor throughout the interaction was undeniably rude and dismissive, creating an unpleasant atmosphere. Furthermore, a prolonged four-hour wait compounded the dissatisfaction. I dropped off my brand new car to have a pin head nail removed and patched.Tom lied about a company policy, proclaiming he can t legally patch a tire after using fix a flat, rather I should wait for it to fail and come back to replace the tire. I explained I ve had this done several times at this and other Mavis locations. He recanted and said it s his own personal policy. He refused to patch the tire after having me wait for 4 hours! I understand patching the tire is a low margin repair, but this was absolutely horrible service.

They are great if you have the time to wait...and wait..and wait some more. If they tell you it will take an hour plan on being there for at least 2 1/2 hours or more. My last visit was for a nail in my tire and was told to come in they would get me right in. I got there and was assured they would get me right in. After sitting for over an hour with my car not being touched, then watching the 3-4 guys stand around and eat I gave up. I took my keys off the counter and left.Again they are great if you need new tires and can leave your car but if you have to wait for it you will get a lot of practice waiting.

I had a great experience with working with Eric on Sunday. He was so kind and really was very helpful.I spoke with him over the phone at first and told him I had a problem with my tire and got off the highway.I told him I was being towed in to Mavis and could he help me.He said just come and I will take care of your tire.He received me with a great welcome and took care of my car within 45 minutes.I was very happily with his service!I live in Brooklyn and I had to write a great review when well deserved.Thank you for all of your help.Dr.Mable Elliott

Always a pleasure coming to Mavis in Hackettstown NJ. I was accommodated by both Bob & James. Bob was at the front desk very pleasant, and patient, tremendous customer service. Knowledgeable in what I needed. James respectful, humble and very patient. I can be a bit of a difficult customer Sometimes and they made my experience very clear. I understood everything that was being done to my vehicle. I was having front and back brakes & rotors done. I 1st got my brake pads done because I m just that person then James re-scheduled me for my front and rear rotors but I chose to have the front rotors Only because my vehicle was not pulsating any more which it was before. They were done in 48 minutes and it was a busy day for them. I was very appreciative of the quality of work. I recommend Mavis in Hackettstown NJ. If you need work done in your vehicle come here Bob & James will take great care of you.

These guys are awesome! They got my business last year to replace tires on my wife's car because of their customer service and they beat the lowest price I got from others. Since then I have been back for free rotations, which is fantastic. This year I need tires for my car and am getting 4 of those same tires for myself since they basically matched their deal from last year. James, Tommy and Eric are great with customers. Enough said, thanks guys!

I purchased 4 tires for my 2017 Nissan Sentra... I had the privilege of working with Bob. He was extremely Knowledgeable, Helpful and convinced me to get an extra 2 tires due to my safety. He worked with me and helped me with a great Price..Literally 3 Days days later I had a flat tire , Screw in sidewall Thank you Newark airport went back to Mavis in Hackettstown .. I saw Bob and explained they would look to see if they can fix the tire. Within 20 minutes I had the pleasure of working with James, he explained they couldn't fix it and I needed a new tire.. He said No worries due to I had the insurance! He quickly had the mechanics put the new tire on. He completed my paperwork and replaced New tire out in less than 1 hour !!I was able to make it to work at United Airlines at Newark Airport by 1pm ...I want to recognize Bob and James for the exemplary customer service. Mavis Tire is a better company due to both Bob and James your employees !THANK YOU Bob and James!Mavis Discount Tire of Hackettstown

Dropped off my car the night before to have tires changed out for snow tires. Had called and made an appt. Arrived the following day to pick up my car and it wasnt even looked at. Have had issues with this in the past and will not be coming here ever again.

Have used Mavis in Hackettstown for years. Moved away for several years and used Mavis in Califon. Found them both to be honest and friendly and would recomend them with no reservations.

I have gone to Mavis a few times for tire issues and oil changes. My experience is always easy and the staff is wonderful. The employees are very nice and helpful. I never feel pressured to buy an unnecessary service. The wait times were true to how long we were told it would take. I will return to Mavis of Hackettstown.
