My daughter is a student at Centenary University and had a battery issue i.e. left her lights on and the battery drained. I'm calling and this gentlemen offered to go right over and check on it to see if it needed a charge or a battery. This guy didn't know me at all but the customer service provided is amazing! He was professional, nice and caring. Lo and behold, she got her vehicle running via friends as he arrived. The point is, Hoff's went above and beyond, was honest and showed care. They have my business....and I'm from Maryland! Any issue with my daughters vehicle, we will go to Hoff's. Thank you Hoff's!

I have not had work done there, only tow cars in to them. The place is clean and the people seem really nice. I would give them a try if your in the area.

They do great work. No complaints there but very expensive. I got an oil change for $450 lol They wanted to charge me over $1000 for parts and labor for a wipers linkage assembly when I just bought one from Amazon for $30 and a $50 motor and I watched a 10 minute YouTube video on how to install it lol Simple..so not sure where they get their prices from and I got a quote for a passenger mirror for over $800,when Dale's Custom Auto told me he can do it for$260. I saved $1500 by not going to Hoffs !

Was shopping for a garage in the area with modern conveniences. Specifically online scheduling.That narrows it down to only 2 garages. Hoff s had a much larger capacity, so their scheduling was much sooner than the competition.Came in for oil change, tune-up, and tire rotation. As well as to inspect a few odds and ends for potential issues.Service was fast and at a lower price than I expected. Customer service is the best I ve personally experienced in this field.They followed up the next day to ensure I was happy with the service and today I got an email with a Carfax report detailing services done and when to expect future services. This kind of attention is very appreciated.Easy 5/5 stars, I ve already managed to convince a friend to use them for his next service and I would have done that even without the monetary incentive.Service: Oil change

Whether I bring my vehicle in for an oil change, brakes or car inspection, Brian and his staff are always on their game. The desk staff are always courteous, smiling and accommodating. More importantly, since I am very distrustful of automotive repair shops, Hoff's has gained my trust by always delivering top notch service and repairs. Thank you!

We highly recommend Hoffs Automotive on Grand Ave in Hackettstown. They got it right the 1st time and spent countless hours researching and going over our options. Very honest, reliable, and they get it done! Linda and the crew are the BEST!

I recently experienced the pleasure of having an oil change and NJ inspection at Hoff's. The inspection was quick and easy. The oil change included a vehicle multi point inspection. It was the most thorough inspection I've ever experienced. With the care and attention that was exhibited to my vehicle, I can proudly state I have found our mechanic. I believe I can trust Hoffs with all our vehicles. Awesome job, great people!

Feel safer, with the winter tires on and my brakes are better adjusted and working better now after being at Hoff's. Informed me of some other things to keep an eye on until next service and recommendations to keep my 98 GMC running well for years to come...Thanks Linda & Team at Hoff's.I like that they are open to the convenience of text communication to simplify basic updates and discussion.

A mechanic I use in a nearby town recommended Hoff's to me to do some jobs that he prefers not to do: electrical work, timing belt change, etc. So far, I have had good experiences with them. The last timing belt change had some complications, a broken bolt in particular, that ran up the price a bit, but such things can happen. Overall, I've had good experiences with them.

5 stars easily. The service at this particular business is second to none. I m treated with respect and kindness every time I go. A good mechanic is difficult to find. However, Hoff s automotive has cured my quest for a trustworthy mechanic. I absolutely love it here and would recommend any of my friends to go. I know I can guarantee them great service, transparency & cost efficient mechanical advice.I d be remiss if I didn t mention the outstanding service given to me by the front office. I cannot say enough about everyone there. The owner, Linda, is very down to Earth and treats everyone who comes through the door or calls the phone with the upmost respect. And Taya! She is an amazing amazing worker. She is such an essential part of the operations there and is the most professional friendliest person I ve met. Her and Linda are both so knowledgeable with anything clerical to mechanical. It s impressive how versatile those two women are. I am blanking on the names of the mechanics but they are all fantastic as well. Everyone here is the glue to the business and it s proven by there long tenure within the company. I love it here and will continue to upkeep my vehicle here. I trust very few yet Hoffs will always be on my trustworthy list!

Spend $2,000 for them to mess with my engine and do nothing at all for me in the end. Went there with 5.4 v8 expedion that was running rough and it still ran the same after I spent $2,000. They even wanted more money to do more diagnostics.... I just laughed and took my vehicle back, after I coughed up $2,000 of course. The guy that owns this place is a great person but he is more of an oil change/ simple fix kind of guy and was not honest about having no clue what he was doing to my motor. After i got it home I even found a corroded fuel module on the frame near rear left wheel that needed to be replaced that he had no clue about. On top of all this they told me that my sway bar bushings were shot when they were brand new with only some miles from test drives. I think hes a great guy but he definitely made money off me and literally did nothing for me.

Service was wonderful. Pulled in with a poor running vehicle. The owner dropped everything and ran codes, diagnosed the problem, sent for parts and I was on my way in 20 minutes. Not all issues will be as easily diagnosed & resolved, but they do all they can as soon as they can.

I was extremely pleased after having my car fixed by them. They were professional, and best of all- honest. I didn't feel pressured into having additional things done, which a lot of places will do..or scare you into having things done that aren't necessary...The price was even less then what was quoted- WHERE does that ever happen? HOFF's- that's where! I would definitely recommend them. Thank you so much....Sammie

I'm new in the area, and had car trouble. They worked with me, gave a good quote, and finished a day earlier than promised at over $100 less than the quoted amount. They made me feel comfortable and were better than their word.

Excellent Automotive GarageI went there for a state inspection for my son's car. The service is friendly. Everyone is very knowledgeable. I left knowing that this would become the place for all my automotive repairs.

Didn't get any work done but they pointed me in the right direction to get my car inspected for free they were some of the nicest people that I've dealt with in a long time especially at a car place. They even did some work on my friends car I highly recommend it

I started going here since it is right by my college. The people are always very nice and always provide good service to my car. I like this place better than I like my normal place back home.

Easy to have ASE certified technicians when its all a written test. Working on cars is a hands on job and at hoffs youll find Amateur mechanics, drove my car here and after they were done working on it I couldn't even drive it home a few miles. The owners didn't even own up saying it was an old car. whatever you do don't take your car here unless you like throwing money out the window.

The do good work and then rip you off. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!I understand the game. Charge double to tripple what you pay your techs per hour and list price for all parts that they get at discount. But thats not where it ends. They tack on shop supplies and garage space, etc to the bill. What next? Hallogen fluid? Muffler bearings?I cant trust them anymore!

I do not know how to thank the owner of this shop my tire exploded on independence day everything was closed I casually stopped at his house and asked for help then he went and open his shop and set me up with a tire and i was able to continue my trip god bless you and your business sir keep the good work
