I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Jeff and the team at Toyota of Hackensack New Jersey. Jeff showed exceptional patience in working out a fair price for my GR Corolla , a vehicle that is hard to obtain. He was transparent throughout the process and an absolute pleasure to deal with.I also want to give a special shout-out to Abby, who assisted me with the paperwork and went above and beyond in explaining all the features of the car. Her pleasant demeanor and professionalism made the entire experience even more enjoyable.I highly recommend Toyota of Hackensack for their outstanding team of employees. From Jeff's dedication to finding the right deal to Abby's exceptional customer service, they truly exceeded my expectations. Thank you for making my car buying experience an exceptional one.

My experience buying a car was great!Started off the experience with talking with Tim Jacoby a couple weeks prior to going into the dealership. He was very straightforward with me and kind. I appreciated him keeping it real while also being very knowledgeable about the options. I originally found a better offer at a different place, but I decided against it due to hidden fees. I ended up back at Hackensack due to Tim s remarkable customer service and their good prices. The next person who helped me was Melvin Del Orbe. He was the sales associate who assisted in the transaction. He was also very kind and prepared for any questions I threw at him. The whole experience was as quick as it could have been so I appreciated his swiftness in service. There were also no hidden fees, the price listed was as transparent as possible.I also had a great interaction with the car insurance team! They were extremely pleasant in assisting me in finding the best coverage for my car!Overall, I had a wonderful experience with everyone I interacted with. And I d absolutely recommend buying a car from this dealership, though I do believe prior research and not financing helped with not having a difficult time!

1st impression.. on the phone it was good but they really do have a lot of business and are almost always fully booked for a service the day of. So book ahead of time.Got there and they took the car right away, the receptionist was good and they kept communication w me as they were finishing, to see if I wanted them to fix more of the things they noticed the car needed. I didn't care for any of it tho because it's a work car so Also some one of the guys was trying to get me to fix the crack in the window- on some "I specialize in cracks" but he was super rude to my grandma in the car who has dementia, trying to lean over her as she was still in the car. I could care less about him. Bad for the company! Also, if you're going for the 1st time and using Google Maps, just know the map stops short and tells you, you've arrived when instead it stops at the dealership ahead of it (ETD Discount Tire & Service) and they try to take the business instead.Had to leave this review on their page,"I wanted the Toyota of Hackensack the next business over and the map led me here and said I arrived for some annoying reason. Now that's not the problem, but tell me y when I went to the front desk and told them I have an appointment, why try to trick me and take down my info as if they were who I made my appointment with. Eventually I caught on and I asked if he saw me down for an appointment then he finally agreed and he the guy was like yea you're right, we dont see you but we could fit you in. Like huh? I didn't make an appointment w u.. why are you acting like you're the correct dealership. It was manipulative."

I m not sure why anybody would give this place a negative review they re probably too entitled I need to go shop elsewhere. I ve had the best experience with the sales staff starting with Mary Green, who was very courteous and set me up with my sales person Angel not only help me find the car wantedbut took the time to go over the vehicle with me while I was waiting for paperwork. Anybody that needs to buy a Toyota needs to come here for the best experience ever. These people are honest and they care about your time.

Terrible Service Experience at Toyota Dealership! I regret to say that my recent visit to the Toyota dealership was one of the worst service experiences my family has ever encountered. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with rudeness and a complete lack of professionalism! The staff at the dealership seemed to have no understanding of how to properly serve customers. Not only were they unhelpful, but they also went as far as to humiliate my family members who were there to inquire about purchasing a car. This behavior is simply unacceptable and completely tarnishes the reputation of Toyota as a brand. I urge anyone considering visiting this dealership to reconsider. The level of disrespect and mistreatment we experienced should not be tolerated by any customer. It is clear that the staff at this dealership are in dire need of proper training in customer service. I strongly advise against visiting this Toyota dealership. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment and look elsewhere for your automotive needs.

My experience with Toyota of Hackensack was pretty good. I used to work at Toyota of Hackensack last year every Wednesday till 11:45 am. I did a lot of work with tires, parts, and inventory. I also saw some new cars at the dealership after my shift. The staff were nice at the dealership. Toyota of Hackensack is a pretty good dealership to have fun.

Toyota of Hackensack service department is the worst of any kind I dealt with. 12/18/23 took my 16 RAV4 for service. I was told the water pump was leaking and needed replacement along with belts . Total cost approx $850(maybe a 1k job with other fees and taxes ). I became suspicious and took my vehicle to my personal mechanic Auto cool Radiator Service Tom the owner inspected and within minutes told me there was no leak. I knew Tom was right, he was also in disbelief Toyota of Hackensack recommended my water pump to be replaced. Because of my work schedule, could not go immediately. Today 2/16/24 I took my vehicle to prove they were wrong and sure the mechanic could not find any leak. He just said there s no leak and walked away. All was documented my adviser was there during the inspection and I m pretty sure footage recorded as well. I told the mechanic they got do a better job. Also I got receipts & text messages they insisted my water pump was leaking I spoke with the shop manager and you clearly have a leak really ?It was disappointing that nobody from Toyota of Hackensack reach out to me for a quick apology but not surprised since I embarrassed them. I advised all my friends and family members not to bring their vehicles here for service. Per recommendation I ll be taking my vehicle to East Coast Toyota for Service for now on ; very sad since I m a Hackensack resident. My advice to the consumer is don t bring your car here if it s over 100k or if your Toyota care expires. Don t go by their advice and always seek a second opinion. The mechanics here are horrible, lack of knowledge & professionalism. I often wonder how many poor people they ripping off for unnecessary repairs (I could it lost over 1k).

Worst Toyota, I ve been to.I took my car there to get checked up after an accident. Soon as I told them, I can t afford the false diagnosis that they gave me. They just left me and wouldn t even tell me what was really wrong with my car. They broke my keychain, They never gave me a proper diagnostics and soon as they took the diagnosis fee they basically kicked me out and never answer any of my questions.I wouldn t recommend this place.

I had an excellent buying experience. When I lived in Hackensack I always had a great service experience with my prior vehicle. I was even more impressed when it was time to buy newq. Santiago M. was an excellent sales person. He listened and directed me to exactly what I wanted. He also made the process smooth and streamlined.

I seldom write bad review, but this Toyota's dealership sales person J is opinionated, condescending and really has an attitude issue. As a customer who come to see cars, of course I have my rights to check the car as whatever I wish to. Why would a salesperson would awkwardly ask me "What are you doing here? Why do you want to check the engines? It is already certified, it is a 50 years-old business"What a joke it is, are you suggesting your customers just beg your pardon and leave the cash on your desk without looking at the cars? Why checking your engines would make you so impatient? Also we had a very sharp conversation about the pricing, he went to a fighting mode since the first sentence I started to negotiate. His strategy is basically turning me down by saying "You are not a serious buyer. You don't know the market. I don't care about your notes / research."The person J may be an outlier among the sales, but he claimed that he had worked here for many years and he was invited to work here again, which makes me worry that this dealership has a problem in identifying good sales representative.Overall Toyota has a good reputation for quality management, but that is what is missing in this dealership for managing its sales representatives.

I have been going to the Hackensack Toyota dealership for years now and they provide excellent service! The cars are very good, incredible reliability, and decent prices. I was helped by Miriam on my latest purchase and she was really great! I wanted a CHR and she knew all the specs and found the exact model I wanted with the specs and features I needed! Thank you Miriam and thank you Toyota of Hackensack! The oil changes are great here too. Nice waiting area inside. Free hot chocolate and free car wash. Power outlets to charge laptops and phones. Comfy seats. TV and a free arcade game with multiple classic 80s games.Update February 2024Nixon helped us get a new RAV4 Limited XLE. Not only got the one we wanted, but helped us get a great price and all the options we wanted too. I highly recommend Nixon if you are looking for a new car. He knows a lot about all the cars they sell and works hard to get you a car that fits your needs as well as being great at explaining the differences in the cars and the features.

My experience with Toyota of Hackensack has been a nightmare. On November 21, 2023, I made the mistake of purchasing an extended warranty from them, only to cancel it the same day due to their misleading practices. Something to note, the finance officer (Mr. Burden) would trick into buying something without explaining the details of what you are purchasing. Despite canceling the warranty promptly, and was told, it will be sorted out in 4-6 weeks, I have yet to receive any acknowledgment or resolution from the dealership. It's now March 20, 2024, and I'm still left in limbo, with no response to my inquiries or attempts to rectify the situation. The lack of communication and accountability displayed by Dealership and its finance department " (Mr. Burden)" is utterly unacceptable. Their deceptive practices not only wasted my time and money ($3685) but also eroded any trust I had in their ability to provide satisfactory service. I caution anyone considering doing business with the dealership to proceed with extreme caution. Their disregard for customer satisfaction and their penchant for misleading tactics should serve as a red flag to potential customers. As for me, I'll be taking my business elsewhere in the future, where honesty, transparency, and responsive service are valued.Always, confirm before you sign any warranty documents, they will say I will add free oil change but, in the documents, you will see a charge, in my case around $700. "Mr. Burden" will seem very nice, humble person and it will sound like, he is helping you but guess what, he is not. I have emailed him on December 19th and his response was it will take few more weeks, again emailed him on Feb 25th, 2024, No response, March 20th, 2024, no response. I tried calling and left voicemails and messages but no response.A person in the business on March 21st, 2024, mentioned that they would cancel all the add-ons and explained that I will be getting a refund amount. In order to reach to this, point it took almost 4 months. I will still have to wait n see if that is going to happen but regardless be aware of the finance dept. because no one is there to help you and be careful before you sign any document especially with ""Mr. burden"" in the finance dept.

This place is HORRIBLEEEEEEE!!! Took them weeks and multiple trips to get my money back in cash. Lady working register doesn't even speak english to communicate with the other workers there. Sold me a car saying it was perfect then three days later had so many problems it was undrivable and not safe at all. Wonder how that happened? Who knows. Will never ever ever come back. Safe yourself and your time.

Beware when you purchase a used vehicIe from Toyota of Hackensack. I purchased a 2017 Toyota Sienna in June of 2023. My thought process was that I was purchasing from a reputable dealer. However I ve had a nightmare experience. Since I purchased the vehicle it has overheated, water seeps into the trunk, and I ve had a 3K repair job done on the engine (covered by warranty). I asked to speak to a manager about all the issues with the vehicle but they refused to do so. Sharing my experience so that buyers beware. Make sure you have a mechanic check any used car you purchased. I made the mistake of trusting Toyota of Hackensack. Taking my car back tomorrow because another issues came up.

Do not trade in your vehicle here!!! They will make it disappear!!! Meaning it will not reflect as a balance reduction, down payment, or whatever terminology you want to use. Read that contract before you signed anything!!!! They will play with the numbers, add fees, and other nonsense to yank up the price of that vehicle. Trust me!!! Ask for an email about the MSRP or final price of the vehicle/interest Rate, and taxes as proof.Do not, Do not!!! Trust those Sales Persons they only want to steal your money!!!!Or better yet just go to any other Toyota dealership in Jersey! Not Toyota of Hackensack. These people are Rotten!!!!!

Catherine was absolutely wonderful to work with! From start to finish answering all of my questions, arranging transport of the vehicle to Florida and follow up were stellar! We found the "unicorn" vehicle at Toyota of Hackensack where no one else had access to it. My daughter is beyond thrilled with her new car. Thank you so much.

I went there to get a quote for a new car, I entered and stayed in front of the check-in desk for 10min, waiting for someone to greet and help me, but they seemed to be really "busy" to even tell me to wait or what to do.I'd not recommend anyone coming here, poor customer service.

UNREAL I just called this dealer to buy a brand new car and the salesman told me it was 97k 20k over sticker! 20k over. He the told me it s negotiable and everyone is charging more he proceeded to tell me!The same car is for sale for 77k this is probably the worst experience I have ever had. And the CEO prides himself on the fact that the car starts at 55k I will be calling Toyota corp to file a complaint.

In response to Toyota of Hackensack's erroneous reply:Communications were never opted out prior to requesting a refund. The refund request was made prior to any cessation of communications. Even then, the merchant continued communications after the submission of the refund request in attempts of "reviving the deal" to which I previously backed out of due to the nature of the contract. With their every attempt at reviving the deal, I clearly confirmed my request for a refund was final. The merchant acknowledged the refund request by stating "no problem I will issue a refund." Shortly thereafter, Toyota of Hackensack ceased all communications to my emails, phone calls, and voice messages, despite my multiple attempts at re-establishing contact with them.Original Review:As a grave consequence of their incompetence to respond via email and phone regarding issuing a refund of the refundable $500.00 transaction, a dispute involving lengthy evidence has been filed against the merchant 'TOYOTA OF HACKENSACK.' The dispute has been successfully resolved in my favor and the merchant must now suffer the fees associated with this dispute. More importantly, the merchant 'TOYOTA OF HACKENSACK' has permanently lost a potential consumer of a lifetime.

I had installed canister twice first 2/18/23 and 1/15/24 . paid 853.40 and 817.08 to my 2015 Toyota. Again 3/15/24 i have sign on for AWD & engine check sign on. They don't want to focus on other issues. It might be gas lid cover or sensor is not working etc etc. I made appointments on 3/28/24 let's see now what Hackensack of Toyota says.Very dissatisfied

Forgot to write a review but I will never forget the experience I had at this place. I accidentally mixed up the numbers of my credit score and said it backwards, and the guy helping us, Evan Sheckler, asked if I was dyslexic. Lol how disrespectful and how rude to ask that to a customer simply for making a mistake. Is this how you guys operate this place? Unbelievable - I have my boyfriend as a witness to attest to this matter

Thanks to the guys at Toyota of Hackensack I am the proud owner of my first Toyota! The entire team was professional, knowledgeable, and happy to help in a very difficult time for the car market. My salesman Billy C. took the time to walk me through all the technical upgrades and Steve R was patient with me during the financing part of it all.

Unfortunately I have not had any good experience here at this location. Since I started taking my car this this dealership I had nothing but tire issues, every time they rotate my tires I always have tire problems. In October I got my car serviced went on vacation and came back to a flat tire went back and the guy thought it was because of my driving which is wasn t because I didn t drive the car and he then realized it may have been installed wrong. I just got my tire serviced again went away for vacation came back today and find my car on a flat again.

Catherine was so helpful and accommodating throughout the whole buying experience, even before meeting in person. She has excellent costumer service- friendly and answering my many questions/concerns. She wasn't pushy at all and when I had a last-minute request on the day of our appointment, she spoke with the manager to save us a 2 hour drive to the bank and back. We were able to drive home our car on the same day!

I can't believe I had such a worst experience dealing with a sales person. She is so rude, doesn't want to negotiate, trying to turn me away from the beginning. Actually she got pushed into this work. My bad luck.

I was working with the sales guy via email and text to finalize a Truck I liked and the numbers and we agreed to a number that I was ready to go in and do the deal. At the time I looked at the dealership review and wondered why would anyone give 1 star review (and I found so many of them). When I went in to dealership I realized why this dealership should be avoided like a plague. They were trying the bait and switch tactics for me to come in. I test drove the vehicle that we agreed up on and when it comes to finance and approvals they put a lower trim level VIN vehicle on the paperwork and try to sell that to me instead of what I agreed to test drove. When I pointed out that they have incorrect VIN, they said it was a mistake and they cannot honor the price that they agreed to me via email and text. What a complete waste of time. They are not trustworthy and avoid them at any cost. In reply to this review the dealership has stated that I had request for Gas version (which was never the case and I have text and email to confirm that), I always requested HYBRID with the sales guy and he kept on providing me with non-hybrid details and before we finalized the number he confirmed me via text the numbers are for Hybrid and I am happy to attach the screenshot of text if needed by dealership. The miscommunication if any was with the dealership sales guy and their finance and they put the blame on customer.

If you are going to make the second most important purchase of your life, better look for another place because here they still charge a dealer fee, the prices are higher than other dealers and they do not offer any differentiator. Why should you pay more?

Let s start off with the experience was okay with the sales person Ariel. I would buy a car from him but the manager is What pushed me into a 1 star review was when I asked for the manager on the date of 1/26/2020. I was told that he doesn t have time to waste .I feel like as a consumer a manager should always make time when requested. His actions were unprofessional so I walked out. They have three cars with the price of 18,995 but the one I wanted was crashed in the bumper. Was not as displayed.I understand it s a loaner but the manager refused to have any leniency with the price. The photos online were not as displayed. I wouldn t have fought the price if the bumper was good just like the other three cars. See photos.Ultimately Ariel did a great job.
