Manager was awesome. Got me in and out quickly. I don t like shopping for tires, looked around before I made a deal there. got a new set all the way around for my work truck and happy with the tires and balance feels great. I ll go back there for my next set.

Took my car in for new tires. I asked for the same exact tires, Jerry agreed and took pictures of the current one. We realized that he gave us totally different cheap tires instead of the ones we asked for. We went back the next day after realizing this, and he completely acts like he doesn t know what we re talking about. Unbelievable. It s really ridiculous how they just hire anyone to work for companies like this. Do not recommend getting anything here.

I called at 8:00 A.M. to make an appointment. The employee told 11:00 was good and I made the appointment. I showed up 5 minutes early. Checked in, gave my keys. Guys said should be 1- 1.5 hours. It's now past 12:30(1.5 hours later) and my car has not even been looked at yet. I myself have an appointment for my work and now must leave because I can NOT make appointments with my customers and then show up 2 hours late. It would be bad for business. I would have no more customers to help if I conducted business this way. Makes me wonder how you have any customers left... If you would like to discuss this further, you can contact me.

Dishonest business with over-priced valuation. Basically, when my wife brought her Lexus in to get her brakes checked out, this repair-shop suggested replacing the entire brake pads along with the brake calipers (~$2000). When I took the car to multiple other locations, all of them recommended no further repairs. They basically tried to make a quick buck off of a non-existent issue.

Made an appointment for 12:30 for 4 tires to get installed. Got there on time and was told there was a wait. I told them I had somewhere to be by 4. Car was taken in and held until about 3::25 to be worked on and was given to me at 4. 3.5 hours of waiting for tires to be installed after letting them know I had to be somewhere. What's the point of making an appointment if I'm made to wait3.5 hours. I can understand if I had dropped off but told them I had to wait and I had an appointment over 3 hours ahead. The job took less than half an hour. Now they are charging to check for a possible problem you think might exist and credit the amount if they fix it, if not, then you are out $$$ if there's a problem or not. This place was very good and friendly but has been going downhill. I seldom go to this franchise, only if needed.

Brought an almost new tire for repair, and they did nothing to it, but charged me for the service (just inflated a tire that needed repair). Went back the next day I was accused of bringing a different tire. I did not care to pay double as long as the tire was repair, but was told that it could not be fixed. Took it somewhere else for tire change.

This place is VERY dishonest. Fernando doesn t know what he s doing. He gave me the wrong price saying my diagnostic check was going to be $59.99 then Hugo said it was $49.99. The staff is super incompetent. Nobody knows what s going on in there. I called on three different occasions to schedule an appointment and they didn t even check my car after sitting there for 45 minutes.I had a 9am appointment and I spoke to the manager Zach and he said that he would help me out and they just ignored me while I was there saying it would take two hours to fix and then just stayed in the mechanic shop laughing and talking bad about the clients. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION EVER AGAIN. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS AND THEY ARE SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!Don t even waste your time they rip people off!!!!!

This place is the worst. They are very dishonest. I went there with the battery light on and the mechanic (Osmani) said the alternator is not charging the battery properly and added a few more things for no reason. He made a few faults in the car by himself and charged me $1400 for alternator replacement and tuneups. When I didn't even need the alternator replacement, it was working fine.Later on, my car's engine light was on and I showed him and he said your cars engine is faulty you need to replace the engine when I only needed an engine oil fill up.They added things in the bill that my car didn't even need. Then shop fee and labor and inspections that I didn't ask for.He looked at the engine oil strip and said oil is fine you need to change the engine. They don't know anything about cars or what they are doing. They just make things up to rob you and get extra money from you.They ask you to wait in the waiting area and mess up everything with your car. I would never go back there. Don't trust them with your car if you want your car to keep working without getting robbed by Pep Boyz.They have the worst service and expensive rates than everyone else. The only thing they are best in is dishonesty.

I came in to fix my tire and had appointment for 3pm. They had me waiting for 3 hours until 6pm just to replace 1 single tire. What is the point of making an appointment if they are going to let the car sit there for hours and take 3 hours to simply replace 1 tire. I asked for an update around the 2nd hour and they said it was done just finishing paper work but it took another hour for that paperwork, Hugo helped me at first and then disappeared in the back and never saw him again, if I asked for help they went to the back to look for Hugo and gave me no response but that it's almost done. 3 hours to fix one tire is way too long.

Pep Boys took two hours just to diagnose what was wrong with my vehicle and then another four and a half hours to finish working on my vehicle. I could accept the work done on my vehicle would take several hours, but I was annoyed because I was originally told the work would only take three hours and the people working there were not really willing to give me a specific estimate on when the work would be finished. I also thought that the cost of the repair work, which was over $1,500, was excessive.

If you care about your rims, never bring your car here. I noticed right away when I got my car how they screwed my rims. they tried to blame it on the machine, then they were like no its just the glue etc like sir, i have changed my tires before in different location, they never scratched my rims! If you dont know how to use the machine, you will scratch them. EASY!!!!. And the guy there start calling me stupid on his own language like I would not understand it!The amount of disrespect, the amount of unprofessional behavior and workers is just ridiculous af!IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR RIMS, NEVER EVER GO THERE!!!!!! IM TELLING YOU!

First time to Pep Boys. Recommend going with an appointment or you might have a wait. Excellent service, friendly no issues. Went for an oil change. Took about an hour.

Came in at 11:30 am to get all 4 tires replaced. The representative told me it will take up to 2 hours. I left and came back at 1:45 pm, and was told the car wasn't ready but it's on the lift getting worked on. I later asked at 3:15pm how much longer will it take, I was told about 25 min. I finally became fed up and asked the representative about my car, and that's when I was told my car was ready. There was no sense of urgency or respect for the customers time. I m no mechanic, but I know it doesn t take 4 hours to change 4 tires. If they are short staff or things are taking longer than usual a simple status update can help, instead of the customer asking how much longer. As I read other reviews it seems like this issue is common and nothing has been done about it.

My entire brake system was suddenly failing, and the Hackensack Boys took me in immediately, performed an inspection, provided an estimate, and fixed everything (front pads, rotors and calipers; rear drums and shoes) in less than 3 hours. Top-notch pleasant professionals from the service desk to the mechanic. VERY PLEASED WITH PEP BOYS HACKENSACK!!! Thank you fellas

I stopped into PEP BOYS just prior to closing. My tire light had started flashing. The gentleman at register said they would not have time tonight to check tire pressure. Marco was nearby and he offered to do it. He did it with a huge smile on his face! Marco also shared some tips to help keep me safe on the road. He is the kind of person who make me apt to return to PEP Boys in the future and recommend PEP Boys to others! Thank you, Marco!

Waited days for the car to be fixed, STILL waiting... day 4! When we got there Fernando went on a 2 hour break and apparently noone can look at the car till he was back.They promised the car Thurs, THEN friday! Now its going on Saturday. So missing days of work cause of fake promises.Fernando also gave an attitude when calling back. Had to speak to the manager, which never called back to update as promised. Louis was the only one that really made an effort! Zach gave an effort after I was completely frustrated with the situation. Lets see how this turns out. Seems the better business bureau call is next.IF THEY DIDN'T KEEP GIVING FAKE PROMISES of when things would be fixed then we wouldn't of waited.

Fernando is the absolute best . Customer service was perfect . Did his job just right . He wasn't so aggressive to do all the recommended things on the list. He made the suggestion and left it to me . Made me feel comfortable , and gave me piece of mind that another mechanic didnt try to upsell me the world .He gets it. Exactly what i was looking for. Worth his weight in gold.

This place is the worst place for car ownersi was the one 1st appointment early morning finished 1pmso slow..drinking coffee, talking... looking for tools..walking around..........my car was in the lift for 1 1/2 hour without doing anything.he started when i complained.after i changed oil my car mileage was reduced a lot.i am not sure why but i will find out soon.****worst experience auto shop.

I don t even want to give them single star but it doesn t allow it. After dropping off my car at10 am for tire installation, they didn t/couldn t do the job. Excuse was they didn t have equipment to lift my car. No communication was given and they called at 230 pm. Worst customer service in few years. Worthless staff and even worse management. No wonder Pep Boys going out of business. Stay away!!!

Unprofessional, came here because i needed an alignment made appt online, told me 2 hours. I called 2 hours later and he tells me the car is NOW in the shop, then tells me they might not be able to do it. Calls me back 10 min after and says yea they cant do it , after 2 WHOLE HOURS. Stay away if possible better off going to dealership. Poor service and horrible communication.

I went 5 days ago to pep boys Hackensack nj to install 2 Kumho tires, they didn't give me any discount and they weren't very kind and now I see the Black Friday offer: 4 tires for much less than the amount I paid to install 2. Well, I called Pepboy because the The price matching policy says that if you are not satisfied with the tires you have thirty days to make a claim to see if I could get a discount to install the other two missing tires and the manager Luis Garzon Due�as was a little sarcastic and didn't even talk directly to me. He spoke through an employee to tell me that he couldn't do anything that's why it's my grade. It's only been 5 days. I don't think it's fair.

I had taken my automobile(Lexus RX 350) to the Pep Boys in Hackensack, NJ for an issue with my LO Beam headlight and a rattling noise inside the car. They informed us that for the LO Beam headlight they will have to replace it with a HID headlight and informed me that the cost will be $100 odd for each light and another $165 for labour for each light. Having checked the prices online we decided to go ahead and get the lights replaced. However, they did not change the lights to the HID ones and replaced them with some cheap lights for $30 each. My wife paid the bill and left after they confirmed that the rattle inside the car and the lights were replaced as per their recommendation. A couple of days later the rattle inside the vehicle had started again and so we took it back to the same Pep Boys and then asked them what the issue was and why the lights looked the same when they said that they were going to replace them with the HID lights. They very conveniently claim that they had made a mistake and after my wife further questioned them about it they then agreed to return an amount of $174 stating that they had overcharged us for the labour. Bunch of dishonest people!

Apparenty, online appointment is useless. Their attendant suggested not to schedule anything online. The tire I went in for was not there. I had to wait three and a half hours for one tire change. And this was with an appointment.

Pep Boys car service is the best l have ever had.Their expertise is amazing and they are so efficient and their pricing so reasonable. Pep Boys is the only car service company that I have complete faith in and the only car service that will ever use.

After Tesla quoted me $413 per tire for parts and labor to replace my tires, I went to TireRack, had my tires shipped to Pep Boys and all in saved about $500 for 4 tires. My experience with Pep Boys was seamless. I had an appointment for the tires to be done on Thursday morning, but when the tires arrived on Wednesday, Pep Boys told me to bring the car down and that they could do them that day. I left my car with them and it was ready with 4 tires and a wheel alignment at the promised time. What more can you ask for? They did what they promised to do and I rate them at a very high value as their pricing was very reasonable. No upsell either. I would highly recommend them.They check all the boxes-Good value-they did what they promised in the time they promised-and the work was done properly and correctly. Thank you Pep Boys.

Appointment was at 2:30PM for 4x tire installation and wheel alignment. I waited in the waiting room until 5:02PM where I was charged for the service. I pay and then they tell me it will be a few more minutes. I step outside and my car is lifted in the same position and not one tire has been mounted yet, that s 2 1/2 hours got my car back at 6:20 PM so 4 hours to mount 4 tires and wheel alignment

They talked me into $800 worth of work after coming in for a routine oil change and checkup. They were insistent that the work needed to be done to prevent the car from breaking down. The car broke down anyway two weeks later. Very frustrating.
