Terrible experience. Keep changing time, you will waste time here. Never show up until called several time, still showed up 4hr 30 min late after never apologized. And they will not pay promised amount, but trying bargain. I would donate the car rather than sale to his guys. 0 zero star is appropriate.

We sold our car for parts at this place in October. They paid us cash and check. I deposited the check the day after they picked up the car. The check was returned refer to maker and my bank charged me a return fee. We contacted Hackensack and they told me to redeposit the check. I redeposited it in October. Yesterday January 31, 2024 my bank debited me for the amount of the check that Hackensack issued in October. I called my bank and told me that Hackensack put a stop payment on the check. Beware for those who will sell their car at this place. It is a 0 star but I can't post it with 0 star.

My girlfriend sold them a car she no longer wanted. The agreed price was 695$$ Upon picking up the vehicle they gave her 200$ cash plus a check for the remaining $495. Turns out, the check bounced when she deposited it! Don't do business with these crooks. They are not to be trusted!

People are always double parked in front of this place. It s ridiculous. I live around the area and every time without fail when I go by the street, someone is always double parked there. Inconvenience all the time and even when there s parking around they still double park. And it s obvious that these people don t say anything because it s been happening for years. Sometimes, when people stop to this place, they literally block both sides of the streets double parked. Like I said it s ridiculous, and it doesn t seem like the people that work in this building care.

I am very thankful to have found Chip and Sally at Hackensack Auto Wreckers. Sally assisted me with finding a new front bumper for my car, answered all my questions. Sally was transparent about pricing and kept in touch when the parts came in, went out for paint, and when they were dropped off for installment. The turn around time was very quick! I will always recommend Hackensack and all staff there for anyone who needs any work done to their daily vehicles. Please do not use these people they are frauds do not believe the good reviews which may be written by them so they do not look bad. They do not pick up and when they do they put you on hold until you hang up and call back and they won't pick up after. Sally is very very nasty upon reading a review and hearing she was also told she was at the Dr was crazy because thats what was said. She had the nerve to say we'll take her to court for the money. They should be held accountable fines and imprisoned for the fraud they are commiting writing bounced checks.Shes very nasty when she's at fault and they give you the run around still no payment has been made be careful they are scammers.

BOUNCED CHECK. 0 STARS!!!!!!I was recently made aware of a check that i cashed back in may of this year, when i recently went back to the check cashing place. when i contacted sally, the owner, who was extremely disrespectful. yelling and hanging up on me multiple times as if it was my fault that BOTH checks that she issued bounced. than she told the check cashing place owner that she would zelle her the money and more than 24 hours later nothing. each time i call her to check and see if she paid her debt I'm placed on hold, she sound as if she's annoyed and dismissive for having to correct a problem that she created. STILL NO PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE AND ZELLE IS A LESS THAN 2 MINUTE PROCESS,

I went here to junk two of my vehicles. Spoke with Sally, she wa really helpful over the phone since I lost a title for one of my vehicles she still was able to junk my car. She paid me on the spot and was even able to locate a head light for my other car. The other lady in the office, Kat was also very helpful. I would recommend coming here

Please do not use this company to pick up your vehicles please go to someone else. This place lies about coming to your house to pickup your vehicles. They said they will come this week or next week and they dont we waited months for them to come and they never did. They wouldn't even come to our house to check the vehicles because they only go based off google maps images showing that the car is stuck next to grass which its not as that is a google maps photo from months ago. This place is very unprofessional and will waste your time and energy. They also always had excuses such as "my driver is out sick" for what 2 months? No one can come pick up our vehicles. They asked for pics and we sent them and still nothing. Go to someone else if I could give this zero stars I would.

I have been there twice and plan to do future repairs there. I found them to be extremely honest and courteous people. They never upsell. On the contrary, they tell you what work needs to be done now and what work can wait. I trust them 100 percent. Also. their prices are very reasonable.

An update to my previous review 2 days ago. Problem with the bounced check still hasn't been resolved and this company hasn't gotten back to my girlfriend after giving her that bogus check for her vehicle. Looks like we may have to get the Hackensack PD involved.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This place scams people. Thankfully I did not fall victim to the scam as the red flags were obvious. I used clunker junker to get a quote to sell my vehicle they routed me to this company. Since clunker junker is a larger company I assumed they vetted the companies they use . Well they clearly do not. They had me sitting around all day for the vehicle pick up. I was told they would be here by 12 and after calling back, they didn t end up getting here until 4 o clock. I was told that upon them picking up my vehicle, they would provide me with the payment in the form of half check half cash when they arrived the check was 90% of the money, and the cash was 10%. Not only was that incorrect, but the check was also written out incorrect so if I were to cash it with my bank, the check would not have cleared.( this was done intentionally) I called the office and spoke with Kat, I asked her if they could Venmo me the money to resolve the issue and she stated that the manager Sally was out of the office at a doctor appointment and would not be able to resolve the issue over the phone and she was unable to Venmo me because she was at the doctor. Kat tried to manipulate me to let them take my vehicle anyway without getting paid. I called back a few minutes after that phone conversation and Sally happen to answer the phone. Clearly she was not at the doctors office, in speaking with her I told her that I was not comfortable with receiving a check from them and I only wanted cash for my vehicle. At this point she started screaming at me and told me that they re not taking my vehicle and hung up the phone on me. I dodged a huge bullet in not allowing them to take my vehicle or excepting a revised check as a form of payment from them, as you can see their previous reviews have been horrific . checks, bouncing regularly.

PLEASE READ ALL THE OTHER REVIEWS, they will try to steal from you!Customers beware!!! The owner Sally likes to try to scam her customers!! just like all the other reviews, she gave me a check that bounced. When contacted she would tell me that they would call me back and then never contact me or straight up hang the phone up on me.To anyone who is having the same problem call the cops on them and report them for theft!!!!!For those who haven t done business with them, DONT!This has been a horrible experience and I will never be using their services again.

Needed an obscure part and called all over. Think i spoke to Kat and she said she was gonna order it. I forgot about it and was gonna buy locally somewhere else until she got back to me with exactly what I needed and cheaper than where I was gonna go locally. Very happy!

They are extremely friendly and have quick service. They accommodated me and did a nice job with my car. BUT the charged me THREE TIMES the price they initially quoted me to do the work on my car. Definitely use them just make sure to get everything in writing.

The old lady Sally was a mess to work with, bounced check on us. From one business to another, do NOT work with them. We sold them a part and it took them two weeks (with a different excuse everyday) to pay us for the part they had already taken and sold to someone else. No credibility, no accountability. They have multiple bank accounts specifically for the purpose of bouncing checks. Very shady place to avoid.Service: Part finding & extracting

This place is absolutely a joke. A woman employee and the owner Sally is extremely rude, unprofessional, can't even keep the customers happy or help them out. All i asked is for them to give me the price for the tire and her employee was extremely emotional over nothing. The owner was even worst, can't even listen to the customer and start being nasty like the last woman caller. I know calling this place was the biggest mistake in my life. So if anyone wants to get tires, i recommend you guys not to shop there. These people are not friendly and unprofessional and all you're going to get is a nasty attitude from the owner and her caller.

Sally picked up phone and gave straight forward offer for a totaled car. She even paid cash when the other tow company (which is on same street) wouldn't take anything but cash. Sally promptly follow up with call to pick up plates. Couldn't have asked for better experience, especially in the time of stress that an accident is.

They lie and had me wait two days for an 8 AM pick up. Lead me to believe a driver would pick up on a Monday never showed said he was sick the next day and the same poor excuse on Tuesday. Don't waste your time with Pablo he lies then laughs about it. Very poor business to deal with. Do yourself a favor and use another company.

Chip and the crew at Hackensack Auto Wreckers are amazing. I have been going to them for decades and they have always been extremely fair with pricing and top notch service. I bought an ice cream truck a year ago and when I have any type of mechanical issue Chip ALWAYS gets me in and out as quickly as possible because he knows that it is my livelihood! I'm so grateful to have a place that I can count on and TRUST to care for my truck. Highly recommend!

I had an issue with my car and was referred to Hackensack Autobody. I can honestly say that they took very good care of me. They were honest and didn't try to take advantage of me by gouging the prices. I'm humbly grateful for this referral, and would love to share my experience with others.

I went there 15 mins before quitting time for a rim, I spoke to Sally who was juggling answering multiple phones and helping me. I said what I needed she looked it up. I left a $5 deposit. When I got home, after they had closed, I noticed she had written the wrong year and size on the deposit receipt. I called first thing in the morning so they could remedy it and not waste time and resources getting the wrong part. The man on the phone seemed competent and wanted a picture of the rim to get me the right part (Sally did not ask for this) I sent the pic and when next I called I got her on the phone and she was so adamant she didn't make a mistake that she invented details in my visit that didn't happen like some employee checking my rim size and then ME leaving the office to check. Neither of which happened. Her accusatory tone, inability to take blame, horrible manner and complete lack of what customer service means lead me to tell her where she could stick my deposit. They made $5 off me, I hope it helps them cover all the checks they seem to bounce in the other bad reviews on here. $5 for me to post a bad review and tell everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague. Good deal.
