Superb customer support from Andrew, who answered all my concerns and ran a diagnostic scan for me. If you're willing to wait and have patience with the clerks on the line they will help you find what you need. Bookmarked as my go-to AutoZone.

this AutoZone is not well stocked and items on sale are not available. overall clean store and Associate was helpful and friendly but did not get wat I was looking for. When customers recommend a particular business to other people, it could the best type of marketing for that business. sorry I am not a happy camper.

Long lines, significantly understaffed, incorrect items in my pickup order. What s worse, I received an item that someone sliced open and helped themselves to directly from the employee after he looked over it before handing it to me.Don t really care to make a big stink and get people in trouble so I let it go.Deserves a -30/5 never stepping foot in this store again

This AutoZone in Hackensack is an awesome location! The manager here, Marlen went above and beyond for customer service!! I originally went to the Bergenfield location and the manager there refused to help me. But Marlen did help me and installed the battery himself! Mind you this is an older Volkswagen where the battery is a real pain to remove and replace. But he did it! And it was really cold and windy too.If you care to read the whole story it is here below...It all started this morning at 8:00am, 02/06/23 at the Bergenfield AutoZone. All I needed was a car battery for my old Volkswagen. The manager here told me to come back at 10am since she didn't have enough employees to install batteries. So I went home and came back at 10am. Then same manager told me the same story, but come back around 10:30am since her employees have not arrived yet.I go home. Come back at almost 11:am.. finally she helps me. Punches up the battery I need up on the computer screen and shows me that my battery requires a reset of my car computer? And thus she refuses to help me, even though on the screen it gives specific employee instructions on how to reset this car computer. So I went home disappointed since I wasted half a day and got no help.Went on YouTube, searched for several videos showing how to replace a battery on this make & model car.. nowhere in the videos did it show or mention any car computer getting or needing to be reset.Called Volkswagen dealer and they charge $180 for battery plus $160 labor plus tax.. no way am I paying that insane overcharged amount to install a battery.So I called AutoZone in Hackensack and the manager Marlen told me he could install it so long as I don't hold him responsible for car computer not being reset. He installed it in the freezing cold at night and sure enough it works perfectly, just fine and no computers needed to be reset. The only thing that got reset was the clock.. which I fixed myself pressing 2 buttons. Even all my radio stations were saved and not lost from battery swapping.Pros:Awesome manager, employees and part selection.Great customer service.CleanFriendlyOpen early and closes lateCons:NoneSad though that the Bergenfield location used to have great employees back around 2014. I guess that location needs to start hiring and training more people.

Went yesterday to find out about getting a battery charge. Was told to go outside and someone would be there to do it. No one was outside. Went back today and asked the cashier and she said we had to take the battery out ourselves? That s not what the expectation was. Left and went to Pep Boys.

I went specifically to get my alternator charging system and battery tested. I had just put in a new battery and wanted to make sure it was not defective. It came up okay but they ey said the charging system failed the test. But when I went to a mechanic, the alternator was working perfectly fine. Trust but verify.

AutoZone is my favorite place to find parts for my car.They often have coupons in the monthly mailers. The staff are helpful. There's plenty of parking, and there's just about anything you need for a car... Other than fenders or doors. lolIf they don't have it, they will try and help you find it elsewhere. I prefer the Autozone in Emerson because it's closer to me. But, they all carry a standard range of supplies.

This review is long overdue. On July 7th I went to the Hackensack AutoZone to see if I could get my battery tested. I told the gentleman I could not turn off my car due to it not being able to start without jumper cables. The gentleman said they would not be able to jump my car so they would not be able to do any test. I wanted to make sure it was my battery that was the problem and not something else. I asked if another AutoZone would be able to help me, he said no that he recommended I go to Pep Boys near by. Instead I called the Fair Lawn AutoZone anyways and explained my situation. Krystal said to come on over and that she could help me. She was so upset at the experience I went through at Hackensack that she called them and asked why they couldn t help me and how come she could but they couldn t. She gave 110% customer service! She went above and beyond. I will no longer go to Hackensack since this was the second bad experience I had with them. I will forever go to Fair Lawn! ! I am so grateful for Krystal helping me and to Michael who changed my battery for me. Michael was amazing as well while doing the battery & alternator tests and changing my battery so quick. On top of that they gave me a 20% discount for my hassle. Go to the Fair Lawn location for the nicest staff and amazing customer service!!

This Autozone gives great service! After having my car battery die three times in about a month I decided it must be defective. The attentive employee, Alex E, was very kind and did diagnose it as a faulty battery. Fortunately it was still under warranty and he checked and found the correct battery and replaced it (In freezing cold) at no charge. I was beyond grateful for his help! Really bad service from the guy with long hair didn t want to help me at all giving me attitude he saw me walking in to the store but didn t do anything I was waiting for couple minutes he keep stocking when I asked him for help he was rude never had a problem before at this location but he was terrible. I had to go to a different place since he didn t do anything for me

Dylan went out of his way to help me choose the wiper blades, and he installed them in 20� weather. One of them was very tricky but he made sure the blades were on and secure. He was pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. I recommend this place.

I visited the Hackensack store this past Saturday to purchase a trim removal tool. The floor staff (somewhat mid 40s man) that I sought assistance from had a nasty attitude. When I initiated the conversation, his back was turned on me the whole time- I could not tell if he heard me or not. When I politely asked again, "Excuse me, sir", he turned his head with a scowl look on his face and responded, "I said yes already."After asking where I can find the trim removal tool, he pointed me towards the aisle and then started walking towards that direction. I then followed him, as I was under the impression he was showing me where it was. With his back still turned, he said, "don't follow me, it's right there."He eventually did show where it was, but he could have helped me without the attitude.2.5 stars because staff at the register are friendly. And despite the unpleasant experience with the floor staff, it was a lot better than the Bergenfield store, as customer service there was non-existent.

Anyone that gives autozone in hackensack less than 5stars has to have "issues". Staff was helpful and checkout was quick. The only thing that was missing is bags....had to walk out with detail spray and towels...lol

Alex is a life-saving customer associate who works for %100 customer satisfaction with %110 effort. Surprisingly he changed my dead battery 10 minutes before the store closing in the dark ! He deserves a raise in terms of position or salary. I admire the people who put their hearts on their careers! 08/23/2021 09.50 pm, (check front door camera of the store for extraordinary labor performance till the last minute of work hours.)

Stopped in to purchase 1 Headlight this afternoon the store was pretty busy, and I believe the man who helped me his name was Pedro. He had on a Gray shirt. He rang me up and even offered to help me install the light. Big help.. I really appreciate the assistance. Thanks Pedreo

This place is amazing! The staff genuinely cares about you and your issues. Twice Will spent over an hour with me looking at my engine and helping me out. He is amazing. Chandra is incredibly friendly and caring. I trust the staff at autozone more than any mechanic.

I came with a brake light, that needed to be replaced. I was greeted by Chandra, who was quick to get parts. She was very knowledgeable, she even came and changed the brake light for me! Valuable employee! So friendly, not afraid to ask questions (she said she was still learning) but she was very confident and helpful. I ll definitely return to this location!

Staff was very helpful and kind. I asked Brian M if he knew which coolant was needed for my BMW. He knew right away which one was needed. He went above and beyond getting it and bringing it to the register for me. Will definitely return to the Hackensack Auto zone for future needs.
