In the past I had used service specialties several times, although the work took a long time to get completed it eventually was. In this recent visit, not only was the work not completed, the staff was completely unprofessional.I offered to help with my bike to hurry the process, spent 4+ hours assisting the mechanic and ultimately gave up before the problem was found, and was then harassed with racial slurs, and threats by a drunk accountant who no longer wanted me there. Do mot come here if you expect good service, or even for the job to be completed (timely, if at all).Services: Carburetor cleaning, Electrical repair, Brake service & repair

Went into the shop Pre-paid them $50.00 for some reeds said it would take 2-3 days okay fine called 2nd day not there called 3rd day not there, called a week later still not there finally 2 weeks go by I go back to there shop the owner and son are there and my reeds aren't so I'm like just give me my $50.00 they were like we don't do returns and I'm like I'm not returning anything I never received my reeds,long story short I got my money and some stuff

Unfortunately I do not have a good review, took 2 lt250r engines there 6 years ago & made the mistake of telling Ken & Rod to take their time rebuilding. I got the first one back after 8 months & it was bulletproof, I m now in my sixth year of waiting for my second engine. I started calling & showing up to their shop in November of 2022 & gate was always closed & voicemail was always full. Finally rod was there the week before Xmas , he promised to have my engine done in 10 days. It s another 5 months later & spoke with him earlier this week & told him I d be down Thursday to pick it up regardless of state of assembly. Went there twice on Thursday & multple answered phone calls in answered. It s a shame this place used to have great service & products. Thousands of dollars later & still no engineService: Engine repair

On November 8, 2022, I took my ATV to Service Specialties foran oil change and preventive maintenance check. I also askedRod - the owner - to check my trailer as the driver side wheel hadtoo much movement. He did and suggested new hubs on bothtrailer wheels because the bearings were missing. He said hecould fix my trailer. I asked him if he had repaired trailers in thepast and he felt confident repairing the trailer. On November 8,he called to ask if I could pick up the parts needed from AutoZone on Saturday morning. He was supposed to order the partsthat Friday evening; but he never did. I had to go to the shop andthen he called Auto Zone to order the parts. I paid approximately$150 for the new hubs and they delivered the parts to his shop. Ipicked up my trailer on November 18 and paid $480 for therepairs. I noticed the hubs were missing the dust caps and Inoticed the work appeared to be questionable. My main concernwas safety. He said "it should be ok, that he had to "jury rig" theparts and axel. I was very concerned and he said that someoneshould follow me on the highway to be sure. He then admittedthat he does not repair trailers. On November 21, I took my trailerto Franklin Trailers for inspection. They said the work performedby Service Specialties was poor quality and workmanship andthat it could cause a very dangerous situation. In fact, they wouldnot allow me to drive the trailer. It had to remain on their lot dueto the safety issues. They proceeded to fix my trailer and itcosted me $450. I spoke to Rod at Service Specialties and herefused to give back the $480 that it costed me to fix my trailer.

Took my crankshaft here to have it rebuilt. I supplied the parts. Rod said he was using a new machinist. I received the crankshaft rebuilt and measure the side to side clearance. The wear limit was .028". I received it rebuilt at .036". That is eight thousands of an inch beyond the wear limit. So I sent it back to Rod, who told his machinist that it wasn't to spec. The machinist made it right by pressing it to spec, .018", but nicked/marred the crankshaft from clamping it in the chuck so hard! I had to file the three high points down. My heart goes out to these guys who suffer from the disease of addiction. Rod s dad tried to help his son, but you can t make someone get help unless they want it themselves. Now he is too sick and in a wheelchair.When Rod s dad ran the business it was great. Unfortunately, Rod is a spoiled son of the owner who has a drug problem and rides the coat tails of his father s former good reputation.Don t deal with these guys. You ll get ripped off.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Brake service & repair

Friends recommended. Rod is trying but has little help. He doesn't want to turn away business but seems overwhelmed. Dirt bike is being worked now. Update to follow.

Horrible. They had my dirtbike motor for almost a year. No updates unless i relentlessly called. They hardly ever answered. Guy sounds like he's on something. Finally picked up our disassembled motor and cut our losses. DO NOT GO HERE. Do yourself a favor.

All lies. Don t drop off anything you have. They are scammers. Sold me a quad with a bill of sale with a whole rebuild. Bike blew up as soon as I got it home. My cell phone number was then blocked. Their 4.2 review is fake. Employees are bunch of low life s trying to steal money.

This place is the absolutely on of the worst shops in south jersey. The old guy that answers the phone is the most ignorant person. I called to see if the had some part. On the phone they quoted a really low price. When I got there it was over $100.00. When I got there I wasn't greeted. And I waited about 30 minutes for them to get me a part. I wonder how long it would take them to repair a bike! Racers edge Brighton NJ. Is definitely the way to go. Don't waster your don't with this ignorant Man. All they will do is lie and take your money

I am a nine year disabled army/navy veteran. I recently brought my girlfriends 1972 honda motorcycle over to rod and tom after I had a bad experience over at ace motorworks located in glassboro who left my motorcycle out in the weather which seized the motor. Rod and tom were nice enough to tell me they would put time into the motorcycle to look at it and try to fix it and get it running. I really appreciate their time. Great guys and very knowledgeable.

This is the only place I go for parts,advice, or if there mechanical issues I don t feel comfortable doing myself on my 02 WR250F they are extremely knowledgeable about everything u need to kno about Off-Road vehicles they always point me in the right direction all their advice and recommendations are always on point very nice and respectful and professional they always help out as much as they can Like for example I needed one gasket for my carburetor and they opened up a rebuild kit just sold me the one gasket there s a reason why my family has been going to that one particular place for 20+ years I m back in the day that used to sponsor my uncle Vernon He was a sprint car racer so if you want extremely fair prices and experts in the field (Ken & Rod Thomas) at Service Specialties In Glassboro New Jersey is where you want to goP.S. Thanks Ken &Rod for all the help and advice today

I called to get a price on 2 tires with installation. The guy that answered the phone was very confrontational and said that us guys looking to get tires mounted are taking away from their real service time. He never even asked exactly what I needed, just gave me attitude. I'm glad they are so busy they can turn down work

I been a customer of Service Specialties for roughly 40 years. They are always my first stop whenever I need something and they always welcome me like family. No matter how big or how small they always take the time out to make sure I have the part I need. If they don t have it, which is rare, they will get it.

I am pleased with this store, I gave them a bike that many said was unfixable and they fixed it . I am so happy they fixed my bike and they also took money off of the bill. This is a mom and pop business like it should be .Thanks Ken and son for all your help and extra effort in fixing my bike. God Bless

Replaced clutch lever and helped fix bent gear shifter. Was very fast and also showed me how to tighten my chain, would definitely recommend others going here.

Great family owned shop very helpful and has parts in stock that you would never think any shop would have! Definitely my go 2 shop !most definitely call before going u never know if they are open

Great customer service.... May have to wait ur turn...which is expected for a small businesses.. But its WELL WORTH IT!!! Mr. Ken has never disappointed me ever.. Been going there since the mini bike days..(23yrs. ago... Wow!!) I would not trust my bike to anyone esle!!!! Great place!!!!

Great shop , excellent work. If they don't have a part they can 9 times out of 10 get it. I wouldn't take my bike anywhere else. Love this shop

Delayed start with promise time but once reviewed and discussed they did an amazing job They were highly recommended to me and I will recommend them to others and will bring my service back to them when needed. Thank you

I called for help with a handing problem and wanted a professional opinion on new tires & a wobble in handle bars.. He told me flat out.. I don't want to get involved.. I won't even look at it.. How do you have a business and not help a customer..It appears there is something shady with this company..

Horrible customer service. Every time you go there the gates closed when they are suppose to be open. The one worker gave me an attitude saying they were closed when they are suppose to be open and also says they are open on the website. Went there 6 in a row same results so definitely not recommend go to racers edge instead

Love this family owned and operated. Ken and his son aways help with all my need .I've been going here for 30yr .jammed packed with all the hopup your bike or atv needs.love this place

For anyone to say this is a good shop .... you must be crazy I took my bike there in the beginning of the summer and got it back in the beginning of October 1000 plus dollars later my bike that I dropped off still to this day has the same problem I told them to fix but obviously didn't no wut they were doing ... so instead of reaching out to the customer they felt the need to go and do stuff without my permission that definitely add it up and every time you will call to see the progress of your bike he just gonna ask if you can put money down I'll never go back place is a joke ...save urself the headache

Took my yfz450 for a water pump paid 300.00 deposit which was the price he had charge after a few day i went back to glassboro and the father had my quad n a box and then said it would be 1800.00 to get it back together remind you it was running great just needed a water pump piss poor business people be aware of the BS
