I bought a car from Tom well over a month ago. I was told , at the time of purchase, that the car had no mechanical issues however when it arrived it was clunking loudly from the differential. I alerted Tom and he agree to pay 1/2 of the repairs which I thought was fair. However we have over 30 inquiries out for this part and can t find one in the US Tom told me that he d have his mechanic search too but we never heard back from him At this point Europe might be my only option ( if there is one there) and if there is it s going to be quit a bit more expensive. There is no way that someone at the stable did not know if this issue. The knocking was quite loud from the minute it was off loaded from the delivery truck. So, as of now the car is basically useless. I will defer passing final judgement but as of today I m one very unhappy buyer

I simply cannot find enough superlatives to describe The Stable.Tom runs an amazing place full of an eclectic array of automotive eye candy. Dave in the shop deserves an honorable mention as well.Tom made the purchase of my 1999 Mercedes-Benz SL500 seamless--we did most of the transaction over the phone and email. Upon my arrival to collect the car, it exceeded my expectations. It had been maintained and reconditioned to a very high level, while maintaining originality. A truly fabulous buying experience.I must add that a few months later, I had a pesky issue with law enforcement and Tom was able to provide the DMV evidence I needed to have the charges dropped without delay.If you are looking for a vintage car with impeccable breeding, I recommend The Stable in the extreme.

Went there on 11/16/17 to look and test drive a couple of cars I was interested in. The team seem very professional and friendly. Tom took me to where the cars were stored and we proceeded with the test drives. I narrowed it down to one car which I was fond of. I contacted Tom through phone and email requesting more information on the car. It took a few days for the information but nonetheless I received them. I decided to make an offer with my vehicle as a trade ( an exotic of equal value). Tom notified me that there would be a cash difference in order for a possible deal. He said that he would obtain that figure if I wanted it. I emailed and called him several times requesting that figure but unfortunately never received it. Overall the visit went well but the ball was dropped on the communication end of it. Very nice selection of cars, friendly folks but because of the lack of communication we could not cross that finish line regardless of a purchase or not....fast forward, Tom reached out to me and while unfortunately a deal could not be struck I would certainly encourage anyone who is an enthusiast of classic cars to visit their dealer and browse their offerings. You might find something nice that may help you make some nice memories.

Stopped in many times and a friend of a customer. Staff and owner are very welcoming, even to enthusiasts who have no intention or ability to buy. I recall the first time I entered the Stable I was greeted by the owner, Tom, who showed me around to every car and expanded my horizons as an automotive enthusiast. He truly seemed to enjoy the conversation and experience of communicating with another enthusiast as much as i did. Exactly the kind of man I'd want to buy a car from.

Disappointing experience. Lack of respect for someone s time.You think after 47 years the owner Mr Rossiter would be honest with a serious and seasoned client. I called yesterday letting them know I was coming. I drove 3 hours round trip to see a 993 porsche that had a flat tire and the battery was dead.The car is not pristine as noted.Front bumper needs paint and the rear quarter panel was painted.Not comfortable recommending them.Eric

AMAZING! I bought a car from Tom, but due to extenuating circumstances, I could not go through with the purchase. I explained to Tom, and he told me to return the car,- no questions asked! AND, he returned EVERY penny, including the down payment! EXTRAORDINARY! Class dealership, class guy!

One of two minor car dealerships in Peapack/Gladstone, The Stable Ltd. offers new and vintage exotics. The inside is a bit old but pleasant and the staff there are great.

I've been going here for over 20 years. Mind you, I haven't bought anything yet, only window shopping. In the past, when I did speak to the salesman, he was very friendly and allowed me up close access to the vehicles. Thanks.

Out of date, overpriced, needs a dusting and lacking in customer engagement. There are many other classic car alternatives shops that are better. Nice folks and upfront on details - but lazy
