Edit: once they finally unlocked the door it was a great experience, employee assisting me was very helpful even though I knew exactly what I needed, I just needed to know where it was in the store.Posted hours and internet say open at 8:00 am, currently 8:07 and doors are locked, no signs of life inside

Had a great experience, customer service was efficient. I was able to get what I needed at an efficient rate. Emanuel Cabral was very knowledgeable with the information I needed to know about my car. I will be coming to Garwood for now on.

Had a cone filter clamp I wanted to replace and was considering a new filter altogether if they had it. Asked to use a flat head screw driver and accidentally smudged a little bit of dirt on my cheek before going back inside. One of the employees starts laughing at me really loud like an idiot and the whole store went quiet I said you know what and just walked back out, put the cone filter back on returned the screw driver and left. Most stupid and awkward interaction I ve ever had at an autozone.

I went in to get a couple of things for a car I had recently purchased and I was met with the most friendly and helping staff. Shout out to Josh for helping and teaching me how to install new wiper blades for my windshield and changing out my lightbulbs in the head lights. Saved me a lot of hassle. Customer service was brilliant.

I was in this Autozone location yesterday and everyone there was very helpful! I needed new wiper blades and the manager on duty Josh looked up the wipers I needed for me and walked over to go over options with me. Unfortunately there seems to be some town restriction and he wasn't allowed to install them for me, but he did go over the steps on how to put them in. When I got home I put them in myself! It was nice to be able to be taught something new. Great and clean place, staff is great, if I need anything else for my car I would return!

I went to this store on Sunday as I needed new wiper blades. I gave the counter person my vehicle info and he tried to sell me a pair of $35.00 wiper blades with no mention of any other options. I have a 21 year old truck and I was not in the market for such expensive blades that cost $70.00+. I explained this and he continued to push the expensive blades. I did work in my family's auto repair business while in high school and college and I know more about auto repairs than most people. I feel strongly that this employee had an obligation to show me all of the price options after hearing my explanation and I will never shop here because of this ever again. No customer deserves to be treated this way in my professional opinion.

I went to this AutoZone for the first time to purchase break-pads for my car. I ve been a customer with AutoZone for more than a decade and Never before I ve been treated with such hostility at any store. The manager Katie is super rude and unaware of her own store policies, and called me a thief as I acquired about bringing my old break pads back for a refund, purchased originally from AutoZone. I went in the store to purchase break pads for my car as I ve always done so in the past, and I asked her if she had the break pads I needed for my car and she refused to sell them to me and told me that I m stealing from The company. I figured that she is unaware of her own store policy, and asked for the break pads annyways and she refused to sell them to me. I asked her for her name and she responded in a very aggressive manner CAN I HELP YOU ? IM THE STORE MANAGER!! and kept repeating the same words loudly as I walked out. She she called me a thief and said I m stealing from the company, and also mentioned that I ll make sure everyone knows about you. She made me feel very disrespected, as I m not sure if there were also other people present in the store. If I don t hear back from the district manager regarding this matter, I will be contacting the HR. No customer should be treated in such a rude and unprofessional manner, specially coming from a manager it is extremely disappointing!!!

I'm relatively new to the area and not very mechanically inclined. So, when it comes to car issues, I'm very hesitant to do anything myself. Being a top-notch DIY place, I wanted to take my chances at AutoZone to get a new battery. I've been there before for other things and have had success. This time was no different. While they no longer install batteries, Harold (the manager of the store and clearly a legend of a human) assured me that installing the battery was something I could do and that he would guide me through the process. And he was right! Not only did he make sure the battery changing went without any issues, he made the whole thing almost fun to do! Harold is a gem of a person and amazing at his job. He was handling multiple people at once with ease and making each of us feel like we were his sole focus of his attention for the times we interacted. Hands down the reason I will surely be going to this store (and sending my friends/family there as well) for all my car needs as long as I live in this area. I highly recommend going to AutoZone in Garwood for all your car needs...and, if you're lucky, you'll be there on a day when Harold is working and you can relax knowing that you will be well taken care of.

This review is for the 300 S ave garwood location.I recently bought a battery at this location which I brought back for a replacement because it went bad after ~6 months. However, when they got the battery they informed me that they can no longer swap the battery because of a town ordinance that doesn't allow them to do the work, but I can do it myself. Well I found that somewhat annoying since in the half dozen or so batteries I've replaced they always do it for you, but I figured if they lent me an adjustable wrench I could be on my way relatively quickly. They straight up refused to lend me a wrench, and their best solution is I should go home, get my own tools, come back, and do the work! I suggested just taking the battery with me but of course that would be impossible because they need to old battery back! So essentially, they refused to help and on top of that the manager passive aggressively suggesting what I was stating as the normal expectation on a battery replacement was some above and beyond service. Wildly unprofessional and not a single person in that store seemed to have any interest in helping a customer. In fact, a guy came in behind me for a battery and left because of how absurd the situation was - an autoparts store that can't figure out how to sell a battery.I wound up leaving because they were refusing to give me the replacement battery in the catch-22 situation of they need the old one but can't spare a $10 adjustable wrench in an autoparts store full of tools LOL. I went to the autozone on route 22 in union where the staff was helpful, professional, and took care of me quickly. How the manager couldn't figure out some sort of solution or at a bare minimum just suggest I go to a different local autozone location that doesn't have the ordinance is an insane oversight. Dude seemed like he'd rather be petty, unhelpful, and do less than the bare minimum than even attempt to assist a customer. If it wasn't an exchange there is a 0% chance I would have gone to an autozone instead of any other autoparts store after that.Long store short. IF YOU NEED A BATTERY, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I had my right rear brake light go out. I went to the AutoZone this morning and the folks there (the very nice manager and the employee who was having his first day on the job) were very nice. They found the bulbs for me , and as I've read in another review, I drove around back and they were happy to replace it. I'd go back.Add 8/21/23 - I wanted to add to my previous review. I had issues with my headlights on my Subaru Outback. James and Josh replaced the lights and bulbs and saved me a good amount of money had I brought my vehicle to my mechanic to have this work done. Both of these young men were kind and knowledgeable and I appreciated their time very much.

Want to commend the hardworking people at this store specifically Robensky for helping me install my new battery which was no easy feat considering the battery was located under the driver seat. He was patient and meticulous through the installation process and was able to get me in an out fairly quickly(roughly 20 min). Thanks again!

I went into the store to purchase a pack of bulbs for a blinker that was not working on my car. The salespeople working that night were Harold and Cody. I asked if they could also replace the bulb or me. They were responsible to where they waited until all customers had been attended to. Then they came out to my car (it was getting fairly close to closing time). But they came out and spent some time with it. It was a bit cold out. They could have said in a matter of minutes that they just couldn't do it, but they made sure they did their very best, until they did get the bulb in place. I thought that it was very kind of them, and I just want to say that these two gentlemen should be recognized for their kindness toward a customer. It is always a pleasure to see this where such will not always be the case.

Very helpful manager and staff- staff helped me bring my heavy brake rotors to my car, with a smile. As a store they have so much in stock, more than some other auto zone stores. Online purchase/in store pickup is smooth. Also on one car I ended up ordering the wrong brake rotors for the rear only. Totally my fault and I already sprayed cleaner on one disc before I realized it. They still accepted the return! Had to accept store credit instead of cash back, but they technically didn't have to do anything. Great store.

Big Thanks to Freddy. This is not my first time dealing with him, but Freddy has been friendly, knowledgeable and helpful every single time. He pointed out a potential warranty return, tested the part, verified it was covered and worked through the corporate computer entry. He continues to justify my trust and return patronage to this Autozone.

Francisco was fantastic! I limped in with a dying battery 10 min before closing. He provided patient, knowledgeable advice on a new battery, closed the store -- and then stayed to help me install it! Exceptional, polite, professional, service. Thank you!

The only AutoZone I will go to moving forward. Herold is the man! He explained everything that needed to be done throughouly--needed my alternator replaced. They don't do it there but he was more than helpful. He was with me during his shift and even stayed almost two hours after to make sure I was set. I had mentioned I was worried, as a female, about getting scammed at a mechanic and he went as far as calling people he knew--wrote down names, phone numbers, times they were available and pricing. He even helped me find a part they didn't have in stock. I apologized numerous times for holding him up but he mentioned AutoZone puts their customers first and he did so much more than that! I cannot thank him and the team enough for being so willing and openly courteous. Didn't hesitate once. I would recommend Herold 1000x! A lot of other reviews mention him, please please give this man a raise/bonus, SOMETHING. Definitely a valuable employee. Thank you again!

I stopped to get a bulb for my front light. They explained if one was out sooner or later the other would go out. It was cheaper to buy a 2 pack. I was happy for that bc I am clueless about cars. I happened to ask if they help install and they said of course. I pulled around back and the gentleman in the store unfortunately I didnt ask his name change both front lights for me. I was so grateful and they were super helpful!I would highly recommend them!!

Super courteous, helpful and go above & beyond to help the customer. My car was acting funny and was not starting up. I went to buy the battery. Staff helped me check the battery health and indicated that battery could be healthy but the problem could be with alternator. Harrow (the staff member) helped me jump my car multiple times once with his own car battery and other time with the portable jump starter. Also he cheked the reason for my car engine loght that went ON suddenly that time and it turend out to be no serious issue. All that without a single penny. I will definitely visit this store again and again for car parts and will recommend to others as well. Thank you guys

I needed a battery replaced as my old one wasn't firing away anymore. Came in today, Frankie and Doug took care of me, they quickly found a new one and installed it same day. Entire process took less than 30 mins! What more can you say, 5 star service!

My battery randomly died and this AutoZone was very helpful in jumping my car, testing twice, and installing new battery. Herald did all the work outside during a heatwave appreciate it!

Staff was entirely unhelpful and nowhere to be found the first 10 minutes I was in the store. They were hanging out BSing and too busy to help anyone chatting with eachother. Better off going somewhere else where they'll actually help.

I'm not a senior citizen but I still remember the attention that the old mom and pop stores gave you and the personalized advice you needed to solve your problems. Autozone is a chain store, but the people at this location make it feel like a mom and pop shop. I've always gotten great recommendations for how to solve my car issues, but there is an older gentleman who works there who has been a real lifesaver. I didn't get his name, but I'm glad he works there, because his expertise is truly appreciated. Prices are good here and selection of stuff is good too. Location is the best with the amount of parking and ease of access. I come here often after grabbing food at Rudy's and some protein powder at gnc.

Generally, I am happy with the store, and I come to this store quite often. Today, I came to buy a bulb for the dome light. The gentleman searched by the car model and found the "right" bulb for me. After I got home and tried to install it, it's actually the wrong kind. I went back to the store, and they got me another bulb, which they claimed it's the right one, though it looked slightly different. I went back to my car to install it right away. It didn't work. At this point, I was not sure it's the problem of the bulb or just my car. So i brought back the bulb and asked them if they could measure it. Of course not. They don't even have a multimeter or anything. So I went home with the bulb. I checked the bulb at home with my own multimeter. The bulb was bad. I then went to the store for the third time. Reluctantly they refunded the bad bulb. This time they found the exactly bulbs as the one in my car. The gentleman told me, if it still didn't work, it must be the problem of my car. He looked quite impatient. But come on, shouldn't I be the impatient one? I came here for 3 times. First you gave me a wrong kind, and then a bad one. Finally I put the bulb in the socket, and it worked right away! This is my lucky day!

Was looking for a replacement hose and gauge recharge kit my car's A/C. Went mid-day so it was not crowded. They had several brands with and without the gauge. They also have the dye and blacklight in the event I need to do further diagnosis. Checkout was a snap.
