Having bought a '90 250GD from Alex directly, I could not have been happier with the purchase experience itself to the occasional present-day discussion. Alex is highly responsive and personally represents his products unquestionably. The quality of Team EMC speaks for itself -- where Alex and associates fulfill a unique function in automotive art form, giving new life to trusty Wolfs!

Exceptional, high quality vehicle. Lots of fun here at the beach. Everyone - neighbors, young children, construction guys with shovels - admires it and wants to go for a ride. Alex and EMC went well beyond my expectations. They also provided world class Customer support.

I bought an EMC truck over a year ago, and it was just as smooth of a transaction as I have ever had purchasing a vehicle. Alex is super easy to deal with and even with any questions regarding operation of the vehicle or maintenance, their response time is usually under 1-hour. I would highly recommend this truck if anyone is on the fence about purchasing one.

I've owned my 1992 250GD 'Wolf' for 4 years which I purchased directly from the Expedition Motor Company (EMC). It is my daily driver in the summer. This review is on the Expedition Motor Company's service as the Wolf is made by Mercedes. EMC was very up front with me about this vehicle as I was also considering a Defender 90. I knew about the sluggish motor (but reliable), stick shift, soft top, etc. This is because I test drove two of them before purchasing. There were no surprises as I like old "jeep like" vehicles. The restoration process that EMC is doing on these old trucks is first rate. The soft top is an upgrade from the stock version and mine does not leak in the rain. It also has air conditioning which was added by EMC and works great. I drive mine with no doors and a bimini (bikini) top and love the feeling this truck gives me as I cruise around town and the beach. The craftsman ship done by Alex is holding up. NOTE: I store mine away every winter. EMC still responds quickly when I ping them with questions.I also own a 1977 Toyota FJ40 and was very aware of the lack of modern conveniences in an older truck. I would not compare this to a modern Jeep Wrangler but, maybe to a 1992 Jeep Wrangler. It isn't fair to use EMC to review the truck. This review is on the restoration EMC did to my 250GD. They sent me pictures during the restoration process. I picked out my colors, the upholstery, the stitching, the tires, etc. I love this smelly old truck and seem to be largely accepted by my fellow jeepers. I also own a Jeep wrangler which I also love. Whatever you buy, test drive before you buy. EMC was and continues to be awesome to me long after the sale.

I purchased a truck from them about three years ago. I have been extremely happy with the truck and especially the quality of the restoration. They are fun trucks to drive and I can t say enough about the efforts undertaken to make the vehicle into mint condition. Excellent company to buy from.
