Take your car here!! We were so lucky to have found Horace- an excellent mechanic with integrity. This is his craft, he can do this with his eyes closed. We are always treated with respect (two young women), and we know Horace is a man of his word. We've literally towed our 20+ year old car to him on a few occasions with no heads up and he fixes the problem, often ready same day. Seriously, never take your car anywhere else.

Great shop. Great owner. Great work. I found Horace and his team after a few less satisfying auto repair mishaps. I ve been back several times for both repairs and maintenance. I really appreciate that Horace tells me exactly how it is and what is going on. Honest and diligent.

Jose is the man! Great attitude great professional very friendly I was looking for a shop to change a headlight on an acura tsx 2008 that Goodyear couldn't handle so I ended up at this shop early in the AM, jose took care of it immediately and got it done in no time.

We own a Limousine Company in Bergen County and had engine issues with our Rolls-Royce Ghost. Horace and his team were able to diagnose and repair the motors misfires as well as replacing the alternator. We are very pleased with the service and will be using PROTEC for our fleets mechanical needs moving forward

I've been a customer here for years now and there has always been consistently great service. Not only have I purchased 2 reliable, reasonably priced used cars from here, but the mechanical knowledge and services provided by Horace and his team have been top-notch. Work is completed in a timely manner and done so with honesty, which is hard to find nowadays; Horace is an excellent consultant. He is a bit eccentric, but it adds to the experience. I had a great experience at Protec Auto Repair. The owner was very accommodating when I missed our scheduled appointment and was even nicer when I asked for something extra! He made sure to show me the part that was going on my car and showed me where the damage was once my car was up on the lift. The waiting area was clean and tidy and offered a great view of the garage where the repairs were being made. I left feeling confident in my choice and my car looks great. Horace is a fair and honest mechanic that runs a fair and honest business. He s been taking care of my car since I moved to the area around 2 years ago and I never had any issues coming here. Anytime anything happens with my car, I always take it to Horace and he always takes care of it the same day. I ll definitely keep coming here to Protec for all my car needs.

Worked on my C5 Corvette upgrading drivetrain assy.Installed hi perf parts fine tuning car for a totally satisfied customer!Also had my top & halo painted by them & it looks Awsome!Kudos to them for a great job, will use them in the future...

I was very disappointed, those people have a towing company looking to rip out your money, I was stuck in the water, they passed by and ask me if I want to be out of the water and pay no Money, and if I have a full liability insurance on my car, I say yes and then they took me out of the water, and the condition was take my car to their shop Protec auto repair), I have to pay no money if they get the claim for my insurance otherwise I have to pay, so I won t le them to take my car, they retained my car and I had to pay cash US$400 dollars to get my car back, so be careful with those people

With the economy being what it is today, it was extremely pleasant to have a businessman like Horace help me out with my car repairs. He took his time and explained everything and it was greatly appreciated. His prices are very reasonable. Hats off to you Horace, you're a great guy.

I am a pretty good mechanic and have three cars. I generally repair them myself but I know that when it comes to electrical, transmissions, internal engine repair or anything that requires the car to be up in the air I seek help. It has taken thirty years to finally find a mechanic who I trust implicitly. Horace, the owner of Pro Tec is a unicorn. He is an expert diagnostician, an expert mechanic and on top of that...fair and reasonable when it comes to billing. That makes him busy. His attention to my cars makes any minor delay in getting the car back instantly more than worthwhile. This the first time I have ever written a review and I may never write one again. That's how much I value his opinion. I would never question the advice of my cardiologist or the advice of Horace my car mechanic. Horace did a great job on making the requested repairs to my vehicle. He was honest and gave a very fair price. I needed the door on my Jeep fixed and the windshield wiper nozzles replaced. The dealer wanted to charge me triple what Horace charged me. If you are looking for someone who is honest, reliable and will not take advantage of you I highly recommend you go visit ProTec. You won t be disappointed!

Fair and honest shop which is hard to find.Horace the owner is a hands on guy and is a top notch mechanic and diagnostition.I have been using his shop for a couple years and never had any issues.All repairs were done timely and reasonably priced..His team is trained and very professional.Nothing but props !

Guys here at the shop are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful in getting you repairs and back on the road as quickly as possible. I brought in my 2015 Mercedes GLK 350 in for an oil change and the manager Horace made me feel very comfortable with the fact the he was very knowledgeable about this vehicle. I am typically hesitant about just letting anyone service my car but I felt very confident when speaking with Horace. He was very thorough in diagnosing my car to make sure everything was up to standards and suggesting any future repairs or issues I may run into. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an honest and knowledgeable mechanic for your next repairs or oil change

Great experience!Had a low engine coolant error message and notice the engine coolant was not in fact low. I was going to take my car to the dealer repair shop but my wife wanted to shop around for a new mechanic. She found this location with its amazing reviews and wanted to try it out. The moment I explained the situation to the business owner he already had an idea what the issue might be. Once we took a look under the hood, his suspicions were confirmed! He promptly made the repairs (the only delay was in getting the part, but then again, there are supply chain delays for everything at the moment).Sadly, the replacement part was expensive and he told he ahead of time. Went through with the repair and no issues at all.It s great to have a mechanic that can quickly, easily, and correctly diagnose an issue without the need to examine the entire car or run expensive diagnostics programs trying to pinpoint the issue.Better believe I will use their services in the future!Service: General repairs & maintenance

A good mechanic as we know is hard to find. Because I lived out of the area, taking my vehicle to this shop was not always easy. However, because of their reliability, I always serviced my vehicle here to know i could trust the people working on my car. In one instance, the shop saved me money by sharing that parts that I thought needed replacement were in good condition. I respect this company tremendously, especially with it being a family owned company-I know the high quality service they provide.

Horace is the owner of this establishment and as the name suggests, he is definitely a pro tech with good knowledge. My wife's van had a broken axle amongst other issues and he found the issue with minutes of looking at the van (thus finding the axle). He made sure to paint a VERY clear picture of what the issues were and what was needed to repair things as well as the price; which was VERY VERY fair. (He went so far as to reduce the cost of labor a bit and save me money). Upon completion, I inspected the van, paid Horace and drove away happy. He did great quality work at a reasonable rate. You cant argue with that kind of quality. Kudos to ProTec

Protec never disappoints. From radiator problems to AC to sensor, they take care of it all in a very timely matter. Very honest and reasonable also. Horace and his staff always take care of my Jeep Grand Cherokee. If you have a problem or engine light is on, don't hesitate to have your vehicle serviced here.

Horace is truly a master mechanic, I brought my car in thinking it had a transmission problem but Horace quickly determined that it was actually a problem with the engine, a couple of the cylinders were misfiring. Now all is well again. I would highly recommend ProTec.

What more can I say about these guys at PROTEC! They are the most Honest and professional group of guys I've ever met! Took my SUV there and instead of giving me the run around and making me spend thousands to fix it they told me not to waste money on it! My pathfinder was not worth repairing so now I plan to give it to Charity so they can sell it in parts! Ty to Horace and George! I plan on buying a Dodge Challenger and have them service my vehicle from now on! Highly Recommend PROTEC!!! They now have my business!

I found ProTec through Yelp and was glad that I did. The owner himself, Horace, oversees the work, which says a lot. They do what is necessary, even above and beyond, and very reasonable. For once, which I never thought was possible, I leave a mechanic s shop with peace of mind.
