I use to think this meineke was worth going too but after messed up my brother car we will never go there again. Went for a timing chain repair there replace the timing chain and tensioner but didn't tell about the timing chain guild rails was going bad or give advice to change it since everything else was going bad then they told us they have to go in again and change timing chain guide rail when they could just change it in the beginning giving an estimate charging $ 870 on top of $1210 he already pay. Ps never again

They were all well mannered, they also took my car very serious. They made sure before I left they check everything that can possibly be wrong with my car even though I ve been taking very good care of it. 2016 Mercedes Benz c300 4matic. I will come back if I ever need more service.

First and last time there. I requested a printout of the work performed (4x) within a span of 3 hours with two different people and to this very moment I never received it? Front desk personnel by the name of Kat told me there s issues with the printer so she ll sent it via email and I would receive it in 15 minutes but never happened. Spoke to her twice more, once giving her my email address again and the next time providing my number to take a photo of their screen and text it to me but neither happened? Last, called again and spoke to a guy who claimed they were extremely busy and couldn t send the email. Which I find perplexing because it s literally a click of a button. My only conclusion is that they don t want to provide statements of what they ve done to your vehicle for whatever reasons they have. Just a shady experience. I m sure if they read this they ll state the number and email I gave them were both wrong even though I wrote them myself and verbally spelled it for them. I do not recommend.

Excellent experience. The guys in the shop took care of my car many times. Serious service. Remarkable communication. Totally fear estimated and final price. I don't need any other car service, I have that in my town.

Very satisfied with the work done on my car. Great customer service, manager Chris is very professional, always willing to explain anything you don t understand. So my right tire was making a skipping, thudding noise when I turn. Took it to Meineke and they replaced the CV axle assembly. After getting my car back I noticed the problem was still there. Went back to Meineke and they told me it was the transmission mount so I had that replaced. Picked up my car and the problem is still there. Go back to Meineke and now they say it s the entire passenger side CV axle. So they replaced that. Go back to pick up my car and it won t start. After about 2 hours there they say my starter is done and that needed to be replaced. Go back the following day to pick up my car and the initial problem is still there. So almost $1400 later and missed time from working I have my car with parts I didn t need and the initial problem still present. Scam? Most likely. Have to take it to dealership now to have it diagnosed and repaired correctly.

I've been going to meineke for years and they never fail me... When you go to repair something you have to have patience and just sit down and wait... You don't want them rushing and not do the job correctly... FYi: Yelling at them will not get the job done any quicker so as I said "patience" is a key factor... They have done at great with my Chevy when I had it and now with my mazda...Keep up the good job!!!

The receptionist had a disgusting attitude. I was just asking for oil change price, and the receptionist got angry just because I asked just for the price. I started to argue with him because of that. Horrible service.

I went there because my check engine light was on and the car was shaking. They told the car needs tune-up they charge me $ 545 .I took the car home the next morning the same issue engine light on and car shaking.I took it to different mechanics fixed the problem.

My car got fixed but they returned it with a new problem. I went there to try to fix it and they were mean and disrespectful and they tried to charge me for a new inspection although I still had warranty. I would never take my car to that place again

Had an 8a appointment for an oil change, mechanic doesn't arrive until 8:30a to open up. Was advised that they were out of oil and suggested that I come back after 11a.Sad thing is that I received an appointment reminder text from the service center. Guess good customer service and communication aren't important here.Didn't waste my time or money by returning.

Last year, I had a car accident the auto body shop replaced wrong alternator; it caused AC compressor clutch bearing make loud noise and broken the drive belt. I didn't know about it until Open Road Honda dealer at Edison checked my car. They wanted $2800 (rip off lol). I'm a poor medical student lol. I bought genuine Honda CR-V parts Made in Japan from junkyards ac compressor $75, alternator $50. I cleaned and sprayed paint with Dupli-color engine enamel silver and black. Look brand new again. I called different local auto repair shops, they wanted $450, $390, $490 to install them. I called Meineke Shop at Elizabeth, NJ. $300. Ronald is the best and honest mechanic I've known. Highly Recommended!!! SAVE ME A LOT OF MONEY!!!Services: Electrical, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

Employee claims they do not take appointments. Then when I showed him my appointment tried to blame it on me for not calling in. When I asked why the website took appointments he claimed it s not his issue. Very disappointed in the service. I drove all the way here and took off time from work just for an appointment that they won t accept.

Meineke Care Center on Rahway Avenue in Elizabeth, NJ--The "Oil level low" light came on my drive to NJ from Upstate NY. I got to my hotel and explored options for an oil change. I settled on the Meineke Care Center based on the strong reviews and the many available options for scheduling an appointment online. (I needed to get a relative to a scheduled doctor's appointment in the early afternoon.) The online registration was simple and intuitive. I scheduled for 9:30 am and arrived @ 9:20 am. The proprietor found my online appointment and was ready to service my car. Asked about oil quality I use and within a few minutes we were done. My car went in about 15 minutes later. The proprietor came in to tell me that I would need about 7 quarts of oil and what that would cost. I appreciated their checking in with me before doing the work. I was fine with the price quote (which was a bit lower than I usually pay for an oil change). I was done and on the road by 10:30 am.Overall, I was just very impressed with and pleasantly surprised by the service and quality interaction. Not a sparkling, shining facility AT ALL. But the proprietor and staff were lovely --professional and efficient. (There's one young man who seemed to be doing all the work. He was terrific.) There was an older gentleman customer ahead of me who was antsy about getting out in time for a doctor's appointment. The proprietor was calm, didn't take offense, and the car was ready in the next few minutes. The proprietor was also training another young man at the front desk. He was patient and kind doing so. A young lady came in with a check engine light issue. The proprietor listened to her explanation, asked her questions, and brought the car in for a look. They made a plan to get her on the road quickly and let her return later for more service. A long missive to say, that I will surely use them again if I ever have the need while in town again. Went there yesterday morning for some exhaust work,had a catalytic converter and a pipe replaced,Chris and his crew did a really good job and now my Sequoia is really quiet,much appreciated... 2/26/23 Had an oxygen sensor replaced on my Honda Accord because the check engine light was on,Chris and his crew took care of the problem...

Worst costumer service ever, went to fix my brakes, and when I picked it up, after an hour, the car was not turning on occasionally, went back to get that fixed and the guy was charging me for another inspection although I supposedly had a warranty, he was mean and seem not to care about anything at allNot going back there ever

Walked in and was serviced quickly. Got an oil change but they said they did a 35 point inspection on my receipt but they clearly didn t. I was already aware that I needed new tires and that was not mentioned, I needed new brakes and rotors and that also was not mentioned. A few days after my visit my battery light came on so I returned to ask if I needed a new battery and they told me yes. Being that I just seen them a week ago I was annoyed. If they had inspected my car when I got the oil change they would have noticed this. Instead the guy at the desk said batteries can go out in a few days which is NOT true. If they had checked the first time I could have made only one trip. So I asked for a Mercedes battery in which they got from Mercedes and I also asked how much do they charge per hour for labor. The guy told me $130, so I asked what if it takes less time and he stated they would go according to how much time they spend and if it ends up being less time it will basically be prorated to how much time was spent. They guy originally told me that changing my battery would be 30 minutes But of course they took longer. Changing a battery doesn t take an hour so I knew they were trying to take advance of the hour. I asked the guy what s taking so long he stated they wanted to take their time so they won t mess anything up as if they were doing brain surgery. Overall I got what I needed to be done but if you pay for your car to be serviced they should do exactly that.Services: Battery, Oil change

I made an appointment for 10 and didn t get seen until 1pm. Stated appointment is a company thing they do online and they don t honor. I only stayed because I paid through Groupon and didn t want to loose my money

Extremely rude and horrible customer service.I had taken my day off from work (which is not easy) to get my oil change. Got a groupon and scheduled an appointment.When I reached there I was flat out refused the service for which I had payed and scheduled an appointment for. The manager at the shop even refused to accept my groupon saying that he is not going to accept them anymore as there are too many. I brought it to his attention that maybe he should not partner with groupon if he s unwilling to accept their coupons anymore.Absolutely horrible customer service.

Meineke Elizabeth serviced me well for my first vehicle. Chris helped me out, super friendly and helpful guy. I visited this auto car shop based on a referral from Carfax, with the specific intention of having my oil change recorded in my Carfax history. I was assured by the attendant that the maintenance would be updated in the Carfax system after the oil change. However, despite paying $95 for the service, my Carfax history remains unchanged. While the staff was pleasant and the oil change took 55 minutes, I am disappointed that the main reason I chose this shop was not fulfilled. I could have received the same service at a dealership for a similar price.
