Albert took care of my car with no hassle. Super friendly, communicated every step of the way. Told me exactly what needed to be done, and completed the job as promised. Will be back for all my mechanical needs. Definitely recommend if you live in the Elizabeth/Newark area

I went to Albens Auto mechanic on Elizabeth avenue in Elizabeth to get my power steering fixed and they went up & beyond to fixx even the wheel alignment and my car drives like it's new, the customer service is highly recommended by me.. he stayed after business hour to make sure the job was correctly done.. I truly appreciate & love the service and would always come back & recommend all my family & friends.

Honestly Mechanics are hard to find but they focus on what's needed to get you going and tell you what you can hold off on which is appreciated

I fix my A/C from another mechanic, they did a terrible job and closed down before I could go back. Then I went to Albens, they basically had to do the WHOLE job over again, gave me a discount out of courtesy. And gave me free rides cause my job was 5 mins away. Very kind people, and will definitely come back if needed. Even if I live 1 hour away!

They gave me a fair quote on my AC system, gave me options to buy the part myself. It was fixed within no time with agreement to bring it back if it stops working. What I like the most is the fact that they follow up to make sure the customer was satisfied. I'll Deff refer them to family and friends. Brought my car to Alben Auto mechanic" for a steering pump. Very reliable very friendly and super humble. took care of me no problem. they also help me out with the tension pulley and they fix that for me also the car runs absolutel fantastic. I am super happy would definitely recommend this place for anyone that needs a reliable mechanic* and believe me they will work with you .

I asked if they can perform an inspection on a used car I wanted to buy. They wanted $120 over the phone but they promised to do a thorough job so I agreed. When I brought the car he popped the hood opened the throttle by hand a few times to let it rev and said the engine was in excellent condition. He said that he 'was being honest even tho the guy selling me the car was his friend." If I'd known I wouldn't have brought my car there. He didn't do any more inspections and refused to lift the car up so I could check for rust and leaks. So I went down on my knees and tried checking under the car. I noticed one of the fuel lines was leaking but he kept denying it and saying that it was the ac. That was a lie. The condensation from the ac was dripping in a different part, ik because that spot was dripping water. The drip I was referring to was fuel (I picked some up on my fingers and it's pretty easy to tell the difference between gasoline and water). Then when I went to pay they refused to take card which would've been nice to know beforehand. And on top of all this he now wanted $125 instead of $120 they said on the phone. It's not a big difference but it just added to the untrustworthiness/scamming/lying experience.

I went out of state for the holidays and everything was fine with my vehicle except when I was on my way home the check engine light and a few others popped up on my dashboard I was able to reach my home in jersey and began looking around for mechanics alot of the places I had called were way to over priced and a few I actually went to in person seemed a little shady. I came across Albens gave them a call to see if they would be able to help the gentleman who answered the phone was very respectful and told me to bring my car in because he didn't want to tell me one thing and something else could have been wrong. When I went there I was greeted by the owner and his 2 mechanics who were all ready to take a look at my car one who does motor work and the other who does electrical work and other services. They figured out the problem with my transmission and some other things they gave me and estimate which was very affordable and just in my price range they had my car for 3 days and when I got it back it was perfectly fine again they are great at what they do and I couldn't thank them enough I would recommend family and friends there. I went here and the mechanic Alben was very professional; I explained the issues I was having with my car, and he immediately got to work to diagnose the problems after finding out what was causing my car to run poorly. He quickly made calls to find the parts. As I m not from the area I told him I needed the car by Sunday morning, and he finished the car by Saturday evening. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone in the local area and surrounding areas. The prices were affordable, and the work was phenomenal. Thank you Alben for going and beyond to get me back on the road quickly and efficiently. Had a pretty good experience at this ahop...1st time. Friendly female host(forgot her name)however, they stayed late just so they can attend to my vehicle, and this was during memorial weekend. The mechanic on hand who stayed back got the job done easily and effectively with the diagnosis of the problem upon lifting the hood of the car...boss mechanic (Henry I believe). nice job

I returned from vacation to find my car unable to be driven. I am not from the area so I did not know who to contact, A local tow company brought my car to Alben's Auto Mechanic. The work was done quickly and correctly. The owners and workers were friendly and easy to work with. The price was fair. I would definitely recommend this business for repairs. I wish they were located near me!!

Great service. The staff is friendly and competent. When I spoke to Alben, I felt that he was truthful, very respectful and knows his stuff. You should definitely go here if you find yourself in Elizabeth. I have a Mitsubishi 2012.

This is the first time I've come to a mechanic and didn't feel like I was getting stiffed. Alden was knowledgeable, direct and honest. His staff is friendly as well. I took my mitsubishi outlander sport 2012 and a Kia Sedona, excellent work with both.

They aren t trust worthy here, MIMI tried to sell me a car with a broken transmission, no break pads and suspension problem and before I came to see it she claimed everything was good.Do not waste your time with these dishonest people, they want to bang you over the head for your buck.

I had an accident and didn't know where to go I was referred by a friend and when I took my car there they told me my car was salvageable and fixable they took my car and had it done in 2 days the price were excellent and my car runs like it did before my accident I couldn't thank them enough I still bring my car there for tune up and everything else I would go anywhere else the owner and workers are very nice and very helpful THANK YOU ALBENS!!!!!!!!!!!Services: Electrical repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, Suspension/lowering & lift kits, Auto engine tuning, Abs service & repair, Computer diagnostics, A/C installation & repair, Brake service & repair, Electrical system service & repair, Vehicle maintenance
