Zero honesty regarding service time. Was promised that my car will be seen 3rd in line at 9:00 a.m. as I did not have an appointment. I finished work at 4:00 p.m. and my car was not seen I waited until 6:00 p.m. at that point they saw the car they said it will have to wait until tomorrow, as they don't have enough staff to push the car inside. no regard for keeping their words.I'm having my car towed to a more honest mechanic

I had recently taken my car here to get all of my tires replaced along with an alignment and a full brake job done. The manager Dan was awesome and the rest of the staff was also very nice. All of my questions were answered and I got the best deals. It was very convenient to be able to walk in without an appointment and have my car ready and back on the road much sooner than expected! I was very satisfied with my experience and will highly recommend to others.

Took this car in for a bunch of workIncluding oil change, tires shocks and other work. Paid for it all. Left the shop only to realize they did not put the tires on or change the oil!!!!. Then they forgot to bolt down the shocks which could of killed someone and they popped off banged( damaged) up the undercarriage and the new shock was damaged also. Took it back and they tried to make good on it only to forget to put the lugs on the rims and said( they weren't there) they tried to keep the newly beat up shock back on until I insisted it be replaced. After 5 trips back and days and days of waiting I ( think) its OK. Photos included of the old tires that I was charged to be replaced and how they let the car leave with the shocks not bolted down. No test drive I guess. Don't let that hack Kevin work on your car!!! Man I'm disappointed over this. No wonder pep boys is folding

Pep Boys in EHT on Tilton Road have been most reliable for many years for our family. We've had many cars serviced at this location and they have been professional, thorough, informative and kind.They've often steered us away from unnecessary expenses and they do not seem like they are just out to make a buck on an unsuspecting consumer. They offer great discounts and work with you over your financial and automotive concerns.Darren and Jill are very kind, chill staff that display great patience with customers.I highly recommend using their services.

TL;DR - Slimy sales tactics, general incompetence, and total disrespect for you, your time, and your safety. I highly advise looking elsewhere.What should have been a simple tire purchase was complicated by incompetence and what seemed like shady intentions. When I tried to buy a new tire, the manager tried to work me up into buying a full set for over $800, then he was visibly annoyed when I showed him more reasonably priced tires on their website and got a pair of those instead. The shop also called me up partway through the service to tell me that three of my lug nuts were swollen and that they'd be $25 apiece to replace (a blatant ripoff).The day after, I checked my trunk and saw that they took my spare. When I went back over and asked for it back, the manager claimed they "forgot it" and that the reason they didn't contact me was because they somehow only just found out.I finally got my tire back - or so I thought - because the spare they gave me was somebody else's and I had no intention of risking using it on my car or risking somebody else ending up with mine.When I got my spare tire back after the third visit I told the manager how suspicious all this came across, and that at this point, even if it was just a series of honest mistakes, I have a hard time believing it. Manager just kept making excuses, arguing with me, and making weird claims about the state of my car until I left.It's a real shame because I've dealt with plenty of decent, honest auto shops before, but my experience with this Pep Boys certainly didn't do much to help the stereotypical view you hear about these types. If you've read this far, it should be pretty clear that I can't in good conscience recommend them, and I can only hope for a good shakeup in management.

The only bad thing is a speed change the oil. It should take no longer than 30-40 minutesHowever, it always take more than 1.5 hoursThe rest is good. I absolutely love the red hear girl who works there. She is always nice and friendly

Recently, I had to replace my Kumho 235/60R18, 103H tires at the Pep Boys shop located at 6814 Tilton Rd in Egg Harbor, Twp, NJ 08234. A few weeks ago, I went to the shop to replace one bad tire because the liner was bad. Although my car is relatively new, after I saw the liner, I had to replace the tire. The customer service informed me that they had the tires in stock and that I needed to replace the two front tires but not the rear ones because the treated depth of the rear tires was good at six, and the other was a little less than six. The technician suggested that I would be okay with replacing the two front tires and doing an alignment, and I agreed. The job was done and I pick up the car.After driving the car to Pennsylvania two weeks later, I noticed that the car was shaking severely. I had to drive back for three hours and take it back to the Pep Boys shop. Initially, the technician told me that the front tires were off balance and the weight was off, which was hard to believe because the replacement and alignment had just been done. They informed me that they would balance again, and the car was ready for pickup on the same day. I picked up the car, but the car was still shaking when I took it for a test drive. I had to return the car to the shop, and they reevaluated it. Now, they told me that the two rear tires of the liner were really bad and needed to be replaced. I was shocked and disappointed because the tires still had another half-life of good use. Now, I wonder if it is the quality of the tires or the shop that did what they did. However, I had no choice but to replace them again, which cost me over $1,200. I picked up the car yesterday and have four new Kumho tires. This experience has left me hesitant to use this Autoshop in the future and spend this kind of money, especially for something that should not have happened.

The only reason this place even gets 1 star is the manager Darren was a really good guy. Horrible experience start to finish. 4 and a half hours to put on 4 new tires. The girl at the counter was way more concerned with texting on her phone than helping me out. I would never come back here even for an oil change. The only place worse than this is the Pep Boys in Absecon. Most of the mechanics were just walking around cracking jokes. It wasnt even busy. I was the only one there. Absolutely terrible place to get any work done.

I been going there since I moved to eht. There is a woman who works there she makes me laugh everytime I go there. I needed a new gas tank and fuel pump for my Sierra she helped me get the best price for it during the gm strike saved me atleast a thousand dollars. Now when they did that they didn t put the float back in correctly but told me to bring it back as soon as I could go a few hours with out it. They fixed it 3 days later after I dropped it off made me first priority and got it back soon after.The woman who works there (I forget her name it s been awhile since i went) is the reason me and my wife will only go to pep boys for our car troubles.

I usually have a good experience at Pep Boys however this time I had to ask if there were any issues with the car and it was only then they said . . . Oh yeah, you need belts. It squeals. I advised them that it is matter. Conditioner condenser that is squealing, not the belts. I was basically told I didn't know what I was talking about. Then, the next day I discovered that the button on my gear shfter that puts the car in tow mode was broken. I called and they have dismissed the entire incident. They were going to call me the next day but never did. I called and again was told they would investigate and get back to me and I have still heard nothing. I will probably contact corporate at this point, not that I expect to get anywhere with it. It is just the point of the matter.

No appointment required for the service. Everybody at the location was friendly and was helpful in answering all of my questions. They provided a rather comprehensive diagnostic, which kind of gave me a heads up of the repairs I have to look forward to. Just came in for an oil change and new spark plugs. My car is running so much better than it was. The price was fair, and they even directed me to download a 25% off coupon from the pep boys website for the oil change.Service only took a couple hours. I will be back!

They don t honor appointments and customer time. Manager and employee have an attitude. I bought 4 new Cooper tires and the manager implied that the warranty is useless and does not cover most issues with tires. After installation the new tires were dirty and my car shakes when driving at high speed.

I went to Pepboys recently, as a walk in for an oil change, a few hours before they closed. They took me right in, where other places wouldn t. I was always skeptical of Pepboys but I had a really great experience this time! They have a new manager, Dan, who s awesome. I really felt like I could trust him, and that he would monitor the mechanics to make sure everything was done properly. I also never got upcharged or upsold, told I need new this or new that, which has never happened at a Pepboys in my experience. Not only was everything done well, but Dan was so pleasant and personable that he alone makes me want to return here for my next oil change. Thanks Dan!!! (Also FYI it s only a service center now, no more store for shopping. So maybe that has helped improve the services)

Having made an appointment three days before the date for 11 o'clock to balance the wheels, arrived on time and was rudely told that I would have to wait for 4 hours, I was very disappointed because I don't understand why people should be booked for a certain hour if the employees are not able to provide the service during the appointment. Very disappointed! I do not recommend!

Had all four tires replaced after one going flat. Tires were old and so after one went flat after leaving my place of employment, had my car towed to Pepboys. Dan was great. Work was done well and would definitely return!

Pepboys was always my go to place for brakes, tires and other parts not requiring a trip to the dealership. I will continue to go to Pepboys, however I a going to do some additional research due to price increases at Pepboys.

The Retail side in Pep boys closed down with my Battery held hostage for my father's car , so I called up to the next closes store for info/help on what to do, now weeks / Months gone by with no response Then my father passed so it took a back seat . Knowing i was inconvenienced , but determined to fix his car in his memory after all these months until today . I return to local store where Jillian who answered the phone was down at the mechanic side of the store that stole my battery , i walked in & mentioned my problem & she remembered our conversation now keep in mind she has probably handled over a 1000's of people since then , so that's a God sent & true professional!!! In today's world because u just don't see this anymore , so today happy to say this problem was addressed , fixed & the car is back running , so Thank u Pep Boys ,& Jillian u are a blessing....this area is Lucky to have u .

Went in to get My belt fixed n they broke Mt pulley then couldn't fix it charged me another 208 to fix what they broke had to get ahold of the bbb so be ware they aren't a good place to go n then I had to wait almost a month to get the money I was made to pay to fix there mess up messed days of work cuz they couldn't fit me in to fix it told me one thing n charged me more just today I got my money check the bbb out before u go to get ur cars fix please

I was able to get my tires replaced the same day, despite an afternoon arrival and a desperate need for tire replacement, as well as able to take advantage of the buy 2 get 2 free deal. Darren was very helpful.

I had car trouble a long way from home on Black Friday evening. I called Pep Boys in Egg Harbor and they told me to come right over.They fixed my problem immediately and I was on my way in under an hour.I highly recommend Pep Boys in Egg Harbor!

Went to change wheel bearing and oil change and tire leak air issue turn out they suggested changed the both front wheel bearing, rotors brake pads . They have created more problems on my car, before sending in my engine is all good, no noise after the service, the engine becomes so noisy andvibrating, engine light is on. I asked the front guy ( i think is the owner) he said need to drive for a while the light and noise will go off. If not I can bring it back to fix it. I brought it the the day after, he said the mechanic is not in, will take a look tomorrow.The next day I waited untill 4pm still has not received a call from them, then I call back, then just go take a look at it. That means that I have to leave the car there for few more days but still don't know if they can fix it.I had paid 2600 for it yet still don't solve the the problem.They are do thing in professional ways, the carpet in side the car grease all over, the inside door, steering wheel all grease. In addition, after change the bearing, oil change and all the service they performed, they should have tested drive the car if they really fix the problem. They just want make quick m wonder they hire a qualify technician. Very disappointed, do not recommend this place for your car maintenance or service.Updated 7/24/2023Bring it back for the engine noise and engine vibration after the oil change service.Then I realized that they didn't put on the new tire asked for refund they said didn't know how to do it refund back to me, sorry for that happened to me. So I had no choice wait for them to change the tire for me. I afraid after changing the tire what problem will cause again by them. What ! Forget to put the new tire they charged. What will happened if i change the parts that can't easily be seen........

We have been coming to this Pep Boys for years. Never had any issues had many of our cars serviced here with no issues. Recently had brand new tires put on our 2021 Toyota Venza excellent service and price.

Wife had an early morning 9:30 apt to get oil and coolant changed, this took 3 hours to accomplish with no prior warnings it would take this long, and no explanations after the work was complete. There was a severe lack of proper communication on many levels, I would not use this pep boys unless you want to spend half your day in the waiting room wondering why.

Took my friend car for oil change 2007 honda civic who ever work on the car use a torque wrench and the oil pan threat was damaged to my knowledge they torque it the wrong way they was trying to charge $1,018 for a new oil pan and work labor never used power werch for oil change--- not good
