I had my first bad experience there on 3/29/24. Usually everyone there is very helpful and polite and do a great job. However on this occasion that was not the case. From the second I went in there they spoke very condescendingly and when I questioned why I was being asked to pay extra for things normally included they became very rude. One gentleman even said loudly "Wow. It's ONLY five more dollars". VERY unprofessional. Out of their entire staff that day only 2 people were polite. The gentleman who took my car in and an African American gentleman. Everyone else was rude and disrespectful.

Friendly staff!! In and out was a breeze. Oil change and filter change. Stayed in my car and it was an overall great experience.Little bit of a wait when I first arrived- a light outside or a wait for service sign would be great. Will go again.

I usually go to Valvoline in South Plainfield which is usually don t have an issue with but I was closer to Edison today. So I went in with my Groupon and was helped by the assistant manager Joe! He was excellent he didn t waste any time getting to the point of the visit . Joe was very thorough with his explanations and didn t make me feel out of my element at all.(which I really appreciate) He told me what my manufacturers recommended services were for my mileage and which one was most important at the moment. Joe also changed my air filter and showed me that the old one was ready to go. So no tricks there and the pricing on the air filter was fair . (I know because I used to work at a parts store.) Thank you Joe for your service today! I really appreciate you and your crew !

I have visited valvoline in other locations like Paramus , and stopped by Edison valvoline. As always amazing service . Very convenient way to change oil .. just drive in and sit in ur car and they change the oil for you . The price is a little more than other places , but the comfort overweighs the cost . The servicing guys are very helpful and knowledgeable. Wish they had free water wash facilities like other locations . Not much of wait time here . Overall a good experience

manager Williams is really really unprofessional and bad service . They didn t honor the Groupon I had and wanted me to charge double on top of Groupon. Complete rip-off.when I said I didn t want service they closed my hood and removed the cap of oil intentionally. I only noticed when I went to other place and saw oil cap missing . Will be reporting this incident as my oil was all over the engine due to missing cap.

Oil change was good. I m also glad this location isn t making you feel like you have to buy more than you need like other Valvoline locations.So bottom line, I recommend this Edison, NJ location for oil change!

We have been coming to this location for years! Needed a simple brake light replaced (which we had to ask for because they did the light test and didn t mention it was out) then they BREAK my tail light and the manager tried to blame my husband about a tab that was sticking out. Just cut my hand trying to close my trunk at my sons football game. I will NEVER go back here again. They do not take responsibility for the fact that they changed my light and now I need it replaced. The manager was more focused on the fact that I used a swear word out of frustration. Im going to fight this as far as I can just based on principle. Dont trust them here they certainly don t know what they are doing.

I have been coming to this location for 7 years. I had went for my regular oil change and also decided to tune my AC as I had not done it when it was do. There was nothing wrong with it just figured I freshen it up. I left there and noticed about a week later that my AC was not blowing cold air as it was prior to me getting fixed. I decided to take it back. Upon taking it back it was checked my a manager at the location and he stated everything was Good when clearly it was not. I told him that there was nothing wrong to begin with and after I rescued the service it was worse then it was. He stated what would you like me to do after that moment. I was very trusted as I have been a customer for over 7 years and this is the response I get. I drove off the lot. A week later now my AC is blowing HOT air. I will not be coming back. And they have definitely put a bad taste in my mouth.Services: Air conditioning, Oil change

Poor!I went in for an oil change today and an AC charge. When I was leaving I told the mechanic my low tire pressure light was on. He said the tires checked out fine. And that the sensor should reset when I start driving. The tire pressure light was not on before I went there. I drove back to my office a couple of miles away and the light did not go off. I came out of work at the end of the day and my tire was flat. I had to call AAA roadside. The mechanic from AAA said that the valve stem was broken. The mechanic at Valvoline should of let me know that they broke it. They were not honest. I rode home 30 miles on a donut. The tire won't hold air. The tire is relatively new. I have to go to get a new valve stem now. I am told the sensor could cost $150. I understand mistakes happen but they should have told me what happened and offer to fix it.

I have to say the oil change for my truck was really expensive (to be fair it's a diesel truck). However I must say the gentleman named Carlos who helped me out and the Assistant Manager Joe were a pleasure to deal with. Very down to earth and helpful. They ALMOST took my mind off the cost. All jokes aside Very professional, knowledgeable and all around down to earth guys

This is my second time at this location and I have to say it is absolutely an outstanding business. It feels like driving in to a pit stop during a race. There s quite a few employees handling all the car maintenance at once that is checked/supervised. I interacted with Carlos the most throughout the process. This guy is top notch: he knows his stuff and is professional. There s no pressure to buy/replace anything, just solid info. Best of all, you re out the door in like 15 to 20mins. I ve been to places that drag and push hours for a simple oil change. Well not here seems like the leadership runs a solid team.Service: Oil change

This was my first visit and they Excellent Job. Greatest service experience ever.Staff is nice, knowledgeable and quick.I used to sit hours in the honda service centers to get the same amount of work.Those who don t know, it s a drive through, that means you sit in your car and they work on your car right in front of you.

Love that I found this place. Great customer service and honest about what needs to be done vs what can be done. Stark contrast from Honda which tries to over sell me every time I m there for basic service.

Initially scheduled with Firestone in Linden and Woodbridge only to be utterly disappointed by both locations that can't manage the demands of their customers. Went to Valvoline in Edison given the good reviews I've read online which I can attest were all valid. Got in line, took me next, recommended services after taking my info, mileage, and needs into account. Fair and honest and pleasant to deal with. Changed my oil and air filter. Fast and easy service. I went at 830 on a Tuesday for an oil change. There was no wait. The mechanic Matt was very friendly, and told me about manufacturer recommended services and upcoming services, based on mileage but was not pushy about getting them done immediately like most salespeople. Will definitely be returning.

Beware! I had a oil change and they totally screwed up my vehicle. I have a serious oil leak. When I was there I asked if I had any oil leaks the tech said no. Which was absolutely a lie. This was one of my best commercial units I use on daily bases. I would not recommend this company to perform duties on your vehicle. Enter at your own risk.

I was attended by a friendly and helpful lady professional. I am not sure about her name but she has awesome tattoos. She made quick work of my vehicle, oil was changed quickly and all the necessary tests for smooth functioning of the car were fast as well. I wanted to have check engine light diagnosis but unfortunately the calculator wasn't available. But she gave me good advice and confirmed that my vehicle can still run for another 150k miles.
