This was the first time that I took my car to Rayco and my experience was absolutely phenomenal. Jacob and his team did an unbelievable job servicing my Jeep Wrangler. If you re looking for a reputable auto repair business, I highly recommend Rayco. I know I will continue to come here for any of my auto servicing needs.

This guy is not only incompetent but a total rip off! My daughter in law went for a diagnosis . Initially he quoted $1800.00 however when my husband went with her he changed it to $600.00 (how is that possible) we followed by going to reputable auto repair in Little Silver (he said he's very shady) & he recommended a Red Bank auto repair only to be told once again he rips people off & causes more problems! DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!

My wife and I stopped in here for an estimate on repairs to her car. The weirdly sexist young guy we spoke with barely acknowledged her and was more interested in talking to me. Wouldn't shake her hand on our way out the door, either. Later, after techs checked the car and called about an estimate, my wife declined services. The same weird guy demanded to know if she had "spoken to her husband" about the repairs, as though my wife were incapable of making her own decisions.I can't recommend people who won't respect my family.

Talk about service!! In this insanely hot weather I called at 3pm and said help. Jake took my car in seconds after I got there. Now I have ice cold A/C. Jake you saved my day truly. I will be back. No frills shop, but I did have a bottled water and the service was outstanding!!! Thanks Jake till next time...SIX MONTHS LATER: I wanted to try this place again after my emergency fix. I was lied to extremely quickly. Then lied to more and more. I really am at the point where I cannot be silent no more, that men are taking extreme advantage of women with the current climate of the auto industry as a whole. It was bad enough before, but now it's beyond ridiculous! I will not return here, because I am not a dummy which is how I felt this time. DONT LIE TO ME

Wow not knowing anything about the shoppe and having our truck camper towed there on a holiday we were so happy it was towed there! Steve the owner treated us like his number 1 customer and we ve never met. He updated us throughout the day several times and when we went there to pick up the truck and met him in person he was so professional and kind. We would recommend Rayco for all your auto repairs. They were accommodating and charge a fair price.

Cheap but cost more, very shady mechanics shop. Both time were here cost me more on repairs than any other shop. 1st occasion was for muffler work then alternator gone 2nd time to purchased 2 used tires from them, apparently someone loose all my front driver side tire lug nuts, not 1 but all. That's safety concern! I know little about mechanics plus I installed and torque my own tires when I replaced with better rims & tires. So beware! Because I don't believe in coincidences!

Had a cracked flex pipe for my exhaust (Made my Jeep Cherokee sound like a go-cart). I ended up calling 3x mechanics and nobody wanted to try to weld and repair it. The mechanics at this shop were able to repair it in just over an hour and I couldn't be happier. Sounds great now and saved me from replacing my entire exhaust system.Thank you Jake and team for great service and price!Service: Exhaust

My first time going there......and it won't be my last. Very nice people that work there. I went in expecting to hear an outrageous price and was totally surprised at the cost. I recommend it.

By chance I got a flat tire right near Rayco and was able to drive the car over. The staff was extremely kind, professional and helpful. They squeezed me in on a very busy day and had a brand new tire for me on in no time. They have a great inventory of used tires as well and are extremely fairly priced. I definitely will never go anywhere else for tires / auto repair again. Thanks guys!!Service: Tires

We really wanted to use this neighbor mechanic. Tried two times with different cars and issues and both times were very disappointing. Cars were given back dirty and rummaged. 1st time we routine service and we picked it up on a Monday because we were away for the weekend and someone from the shop definitely used the car. Mileage was up (more than needed) and car was dirty and there was snack wrappers in it and a spill down the side of the interior door. 2nd issue / time we brought it back reluctantly for a simple issue repair because all other mechanics were backed up. They didn t fix the issue at all, the dashboard light was still on and we had the same exact malfunction. Took it to a different shop and it was repaired easily

The initial interaction I had with the front desk girl was pleasant! They assisted with getting me in same day! Jake and his guys took care of my tire change and about two days later I had gotten a flat! Well I called Rayco again letting them know what happened and they directed me on what to do and took me in same day and I ended up having a nail in my tire! Jake was so pleasant and helpful! Couldn t fix my tire because the hole was too close to the sidewall, but young man was quick to assist and offered to plug it. Couldn t plug because tire was under warranty, but this place seems to be able to resolve any issues.

They talked me through the mods they would need to do to make my after market exhaust fit. Even with a couple of cuts and a weld they got me off and running in only 2 hours and the exhaust fit was perfect. The price was lower than I was expecting with the mods. They are knowledgeable, easy to speak to, ad most importantly did an excellent job. This father and son business is professionally run. Thanks guys the car sounds great!

Went there because AAA said they would charge me $225 to take four security lug nuts off of a car I recently purchased(used). Called Rayco and they did it for $40 in about 15 minutes. It's nice they don't try to rip you off. I had other work done in the past and they're consistent. Great Business!

This buisness is VA military friendly. I was 1,000 miles away from home because my spouse needed a surgery and the surgeon was in New Jersey. I knew more or less what my issue was and I did NOT tell the mechanic what it was. He did a diagnostic and determined the issue and repaired it in a day and gave me a fair price for the work. The guys at Rayco always get my car repaired fast. They are honest and prices are fair. Don t let your car sit for a week at the local gas station. This is a family owned business for three generations. Almost 15 years ago, I felt that my current mechanic started to overcharge me. Don't know what changed but something began to feel off.I'm a single parent of a special needs child on a limited income. I can't throw money away. So, I had to start looking around for someone else. I called up Rayco and spoke to Steven who quoted me a far lower price on the brakes that I needed and I went to him.Since then, they have done every repair under the sun and always gave me a good deal on tires. Jake, Steven's son, now works with his father and they have taken care of me well.They would take me to my car and show me exactly what it wrong. If my car is a hazard to me and my daughter, he does his very best to convince me to do what is necessary to keep us safe. He makes us feel like family. I even recently bought a vehicle from him and it drives like a dream.Look, I don't know anything about cars. I do know how to read people well, though. So, if you want a mechanic that is looking out for your safety and not his pocket, then this is the place to go. Jacob is a truly kind and genuine person. He walked me through everything very well. Explained everything and answered all my questions. My husband and I are very happy with their service. Also they warranty all their work. Water pump, thermostat and radiator all fixed with their warranty gives us peace of mind. My husband recently had his truck repaired here. They charged him several thousand dollars, only to find out from another reputable mechanic that the repairs were never actually done. Very dishonest ripoffs they will steal your money DO NOT RECOMMEND

10000+ Stars!!!!! I can t even begin to tell you how outstanding this shop is! A bearing and the axle on our boat trailer blew on the parkway at 2pm on a Saturday as we were headed to VT and we brought it directly to their shop. From the very first moment they answered our panicked phone call to the moment we drove off the lot, they provided us with exceptional customer service and support. I don t know how they did it but they repaired our axle and everything else that was needed to get us back on the road and headed to VT by 4:30pm. Go here!!! Do not hesitate, we will be back here for all our work needed. They are PHENOMENAL!!!!!!! Thank you Jake, DeDe and Team!!!! You saved the day!

I heard a strange noise from my car and brought it here. They took a look at my breaks and didn't find anything wrong. Steve the owner rode it around the block with me and pointed out that the noise was mild rust from it raining. Quick, friendly, efficient and cost me nothing. Good mechanics who won't lie to you for your money.

Ordered tires from Tire Rack and had them delivered to Rayco. Because I needed some high performance brakes and parts installed I decided to ask them while I was at it what the cost would be. I got a good feeling from them while on the phone so decided to have them do it. They were cheaper than other quote I had and they were done in a day. Not only that Steve found another item that needed fixed, but is something under warranty so he could have not bothered to tell me or just ignored it. He took me out and explained it to me. Honestly I would never have known, so thanks, let dealer know and have it on record so they can look at it.

I recently lost the transmission on my truck and after speaking with 3 or 4 repair shops, I went with Rayco. I honestly couldn't have been more satisfied. I was given a great price and had truck my truck back in under a week! I'd highly recommend this shop to anyone in the Monmouth County area. A true pleasure to do business with.

Had dealing with the owner regarding a car he was selling. Seemed a little arrogant and gave the impression I was annoying him when I asked questions about the chartreuse Ford he had for sale. You would think it was a Jag the way he defended all he did to it but was very hurried with his responses when I asked him questions. I was told by a few people he's like this and glad I went elsewhere.

Rayco Auto Repair is amazing! Super friendly and courteous group of people. I am EXTREMELY protective of my car so I'm hesitant to bring my car to anyone I don't trust. I have a mechanic up in North Jersey that I trust but obviously it's not easy to always go back up there for things. After seeing such good reviews I decided to try out Rayco. I'm glad I did. I brought my car in twice for two things. First was a new set of tires. I shipped to Rayco via TireRack, it was super easy and Rayco was fast and did a perfect job. They have enough capacity to where they fit me in easily whenever was convenient for me. The second thing was a few weeks later I was trying to take my wheels off and my locking wheel lug nut broke. I spent hours trying to take it off myself. I gave up and took it to Rayco. I expected for it to be difficult, but Rayco was able to get it off in just a few minutes (shows how useless locking nuts are). They've made me a customer for life for which I'm very grateful.
