Very disappointing experience here. I had my Altima towed here because it wouldn't start. Needed starter replacement. They quoted me $840 over the phone (which was $200 overpriced per conversations I had with my typical mechanic). When I picked up, they charged $940 because the quote on the phone didn't include tax or "shop fee". Apparently they charge $45 extra to "use their own tools." If I could've driven to another mechanic, I would've. I felt scammed, overcharged, and tricked.UPDATE - I am updating this review a week later to give Midas some credit, as they called me and refunded $100 for the difference between what they quoted me and what they charged in the shop. Still feel like the work was overpriced, but they lessened the sting by reaching out. Changing from 1 star to 3.

always a great experience coming here! Jess helped me my last visit and was very kind/polite, she answered all my questions! the service was done in a timely manner. everyone that works here is very personable! definitely recommend & I absolutely will be returning in the future.

The mechanic Joe was very knowledgeable and helpful. He took the time to answer all my questions. Joe made me feel comfortable and I can trust him to do a great job. I highly recommend taking your car to Joe at Midas in Eatontown.

Fast, friendly, informative service.Ran over a nail on the highway caused a flat tire while at the doctor down the street. I know I needed new tires anyway and they pointed me in the right direction. They also had a sale which helped my pockets out.

Joe & Midas are in the business of selling parts & service that may or may not work on your vehicle. But when the service they offered doesn t work, they still expect their customers to pay! It s like gambling with your vehicle ..The mechanic Joe refused to reimburse me $2600 for the work he did on my truck, even tho the work he did didn t fix the problem. He offered & installed two converter replacements but the truck did not accept them and the engine light kept coming on. I brought the truck back multiple times for Joe to remedy but he couldn t figure it out. So I was instructed to remove the parts and return them for a full reimbursement but when I came back with the parts, Joe refused to reimburse me and refused to take back the parts. So now we have to take legal action to recoup the $2600, oh also I was told by Joe that he doesn t care . Good luck to anyone that goes there and things don t work out because history shows , Joe doesn t care nor does he wanna reimburse the customer even when they fail at fixing the issue..**Update** their corporate office reached out to me to let me know that they are not going to reimburse me for there failed work. I would advise not going here for mechanical work because you may get ripped off like me.

Thank god for meeting Joe here! I knew he was familiar and I had him previously work on my car at another location, I always trust him with my car. Oil changed in under an hour with a thorough check as well, he always gives me the best advice with my 2010 Honda Accord w/120k miles and it s still running great! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE. Absolutely horrendous service, that put me in dangerous driving conditions. I came in for four new tires. They replaced the tires and I drove off. A few days later, my tire pressure sensor (tpms) comes on. I took my car back that day and they couldn't find a problem. They reset the system. Tpms light came back on with five miles of driving. Immediately drove back. They still couldn't find a problem and reset the sensor. Light came on again. Immediately drove to a Honda dealer. The technician notices that THEY PUT THE WRONG TIRE ON ONE OF MY BACK WHEELS. The difference in tire mass was throwing the sensor. I immediately drove to the Midas location and showed them the problem. They wordlessly took the car in back, found the correct tire and put it on my car. I should also mention that they severely over inflated my tires (45 psi warmed up, recommended cold psi is 32). This is all during winter. Thank goodness there wasnt any snow or ice on the road. They offered me a free oil change...as if I EVER want to take my car back to them. If they can't do a tire change, I am definitely not trusting them to open up the hood to my engine. I refused the service and asked for a partial refund. They said no. Multiple calls to corporate also said that they couldn't provide a refund. I would not be writing this if they were the ones who diagnosed the problem (mistakes happen, I get it). But a Honda technician had to identify their simple mistake for them. Thank goodness the Honda tech didn't charge me for looking at the car...I would never be able to get that money back.

Went to Midas during my work break today just to get an oil change, they threw in a free tire rotation which is always nice and they were very quick with the job, making sure to have it done before my lunch break finished. The price was very reasonable too. They seem like a polite, honest group of fellas in there and I will probably be going there again for oil/tire needs.

Saturday April 8th (Holy Saturday) my rental got a flat tire. Every enterprise within 50 miles was closed, over the phone they could not find my account, and Midas was the only tire shop close to me and my only hope really. 30-25 minutes before closing I show up, the nice gentleman at the front desk Don, acknowledged me with a smile and great attitude as I walked in while he was with another customer. They quickly looked at my damaged tire that was unfixable and luckily they had 1 tire in stock that fit my rental. They installed the new tire and had my car out front and ready to go in no time. I had a very pleasant interaction with Don at the front desk and the 2 gentleman working there as well. They were very efficient, and I was kept informed of everything as they went. It was a smooth transaction and great experience. I truly appreciated them being willing to help out a gal in distress right before closing; I would not have made my flight in Philly had it not been for their kindness and willingness to help me. I m truly grateful for them.Services: Tires, Auto tire replacement

Can t speak highly enough of my experience here!!! Called Larry on a Thursday afternoon, brought my car in same day, he ordered my tires and had them changed out by 11am the next morning!! Fast, friendly, professional. All around great service. I had to bring my 2 year old with me and while we waited for our service Larry made my son a ramp out of a clip board and cardboard for him to play his trucks on. So personable and great with my son! He took great care of us! He made a situation that could have been unpleasant (waiting in a car service waiting room with a 2 year old ) to pleasant!! I knew from the moment I spoke with him on the phone that this was the kind of service I wanted from a car place. Highly recommend!!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I never write reviews on anything but after today s experience at Midas I just had to. I have been to several Midas locations and have always had a positive experience; from the friendly greeting to the reliable service and transparent overview of the work done. But today I worked with Larry and Don who went above and beyond for my last minute request for an oil change. Not only were they super friendly and receptive, they went as far as tracking down the specific filter I needed,went to pick it up, and had my car ready to go in no time. They were thorough in explaining what my car needed and what it would cost, which I also really appreciated. Overall, an efficient, prompt, and accommodating group. 10/10 would recommend!!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, A/C installation & repair, Battery, Oil change

My timing belt blew out and was told by other garages it could take almost a month and half to be repaired! I went to Midas and worked with Ty who was absolutely amazing! He worked on my car and walked me through what needed to be done. Beyond impressed. Store manager Larry was fantastic as well . Really will work with you and inform you on everything thing you need.
