I had an emergency flat before work and needed to purchase a tire rod, the tire rod I purchased was smaller and didn t give me the leverage to get the lug nuts off the tire, as I returned to the store seeking to exchange for a bigger tire rod or air machine. I was told by the store manager (Luis) that I couldn t exchange the item, his explanation being I was returning a used item, the only help he did provide was in showing me the return policy.My suggestion is to no longer patron this business as a result of them not being customer friendly, unreasonable, and financially greedy when considering my emergency. Rather than choosing to purchase another item from here, I used the same money I could ve spent on an Uber to work. There s an Autozone 5 minutes away that s far more accommodating then this cheap establishment.

Nightmare on main st. Battery charger machine doesn't work they give you the wrong parts. Nobody knows nothing except take your money.

Usually don t take my time out of my way to write a review but I will this time. I go to call 7/23/22 around 5:30pm to see if they got a part number in stock. I was told I was going to be put on hold. Now I m waiting 15 minutes so I hang up call again. The guy answers then without saying anything puts me straight back on hold. Whoever is working the phones on this day needs to be fired he s going to bring the franchise down at that east orange spot that s not how you treat customers. Never again

Service is always good for me when I go to the store. Thanks Mr. Hank for installing my new battery. My only issue is when I placed my order online it said I would get a email when my order was ready. I did not receive anything, so after 2 days I had to call to get status of my order. Besides that the man who took care of me when I got there was really nice.

Staff EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!ONE employee states he has reserved parking in front of store. Employees walk around without providing assistance to customers. Employees walk around on their cell phones when there are more than 6 customers in the store. Seems that 3 out of 6 employees take break to the extreme.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION FOR SALES AND OR SERVICE!!If Jermaine is the leader of this location HE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED WITH SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!One employee named "D" brings out a car battery to replace one from my vehicle with no tools. As well as to place the brand new battery on the asphalt floor of the road. Tells me there is nothing wrong with putting battery on the asphalt. If this was true then why are batteries on racks in the store.Then sees a cross bar and states Advance auto is not allowed to remove the bar. Only battery that is visible can be replaced by them.

Manager tried to rush battery sale, even though she had no one in the store to install. Told us we could wait, but she didn't know when our if her staff member would be in to work. We returned the battery and went elsewhere. New worker did try to help, but it's his first day and there's a lot he didn't know.

I am very grateful for mr. Al! He has treated me like a niece and has taught me sooooo much about my vehicles and I truly appreciate him for that. So thank you uncle AL.I also enjoyed my interaction with ms. Doris as well she is very good at her job as well as uncle Al.Thank you both

The younger men are very helpful , the older ones can be dismissive at first , I felt it was a sexist environment, I had a hard time proving my battery was defective when clearly it was not holding a charge. I know a lot about cars and I felt demeaned until I was right the next day the machine registered needs recharge I only had the battery less than 6 months, I only received good customer service from two employees

Everytime I reach out or go to this location, it's a problem. I have tried this location 7 times:1. Horrible Customer service2. Terrible Phone etiquette3. Always a long line4. No one addresses you as you are standing there.However you can easily maneuver in the store and find products of your own.No one wanted to help me remove my dead battery from the vehicle that was located in the parking lot right outside. the manger told me in order for it to be serviced I have to remove it myself. As a female, I feel that was highly unacceptable of an answer. Possibly offer an appointment or another time to comeback. I had to call services for a jump.

Good customer service.. But don't ever call, i call to find out if they had specific part before i come there.. The lady who answer the phone kept on putting me and hold without asking me what i want first, i was on hold for 10minutes so i hang up and call again and it and the something happened she placed me on hold. She keep placing me on hold and forget i was there.. Is when i call back the fourth i actually got through. The reason why i gave it 4 stars because when i went to pick up my parts gentleman there was awesome.

Satisfied customer. I needed a battery holder (crossbar) and wasn't sure which one to get. I bought 2 and I made the return of 1 after with ease. Appreciate customer care and time.

I waited to post a review because I wanted my husband to be able to pick up my part without any harassment. He went to pick up my part and the Spanish lady in the front DIDNT even look up his name just told him it wasn t there! She didn t even know his name or what he was there to get. She was very dismissive and was busy on her phone. My husband left and goes there the next day to pick up the part and it s there. He continues to ask out of curiosity when did it come in. He was told that it wasn t part of the morning run so it had to be there already. If the Spanish lady would ve just looked i would ve been able to get my car fixed sooner.

Not too helpful. I tried to get a simple dude for my car and he asked me to ask my mechanic to take our the blown fuse bring it back and then he can match it. I had to get my phone and look it up on YouTube so that he could visualize it. I don't think your gonna get much help out of these guys, so make sure you are there without needing much help or you'll be sadly disappointed.

Said they had a part and told me 39 bucks. Sent me to another store in Livingston and the price changed to 110 bucks. If i really didn't need it i would have left it. I called the store back in east orange on main street but the person who answered the phone played stupid and pretended that he didn't know who I talked to,however he remembered the part i needed.

I went there to get steering wheel fluid. I got assistance from someone who fixes cars in that area. This store. Seems to have parts for my old Ford van. The isles are clean. They have everything organized and are reasonable. The employees were helpful and ready to assist.

Listen if it wasn t for Jason this place would get Negative 2 stars. These two West Indian women are NASTY. Their attitudes stink! Their service sucks and from my experiences with them, they re lazy. I told the manager (or so he said he was) ROCK that these two are problematic and he just walked away. These two women need to be fired!

Like any. The people wants to help but it's just not working the system they have. Customer comes to buy a product and it's the person behind the counter taking your order that will install it. And before you know it. A loooong line awaits she/he finishes with you. It's ridiculous. They need some pro and some cashiers. Anyone that buys something requiring install will wait aside for pro's help so cashiers can help customers that are actually there to just buy oil

I make them one of my favorite store. Their online store offers a few good perks through discounts. Pickup at their stores also is fast and easy to do. I am quite pleased with their services also

If you have a car problem you can go there.There is a lady behind a computer, she is so kind with customers. But there is a guy next to the entrance door. He's a pig.He doesn't respect customers. Even though the lady ask him to do something, he stays quiet with a bad character. I think its place it's not to receive people. He's a beast.

I was having a hard time finding u joint for my 1997 truck. I went to auto zone and twice was given the wrong part I went advance auto in East Orange nj and there computer wasn t showing the part but there counter person was awesome her name is Angie she took my old part and found me a matching part that fixed my truck. Thanks a lot Angie

I'm talking to the girl at the register and asking about a filter for the car. She said they dont have it when in fact on the app it clearly states that have 3. So I went myself to look for it by stock number. Guess what I found it, while I'm telling her that this was the item, she said hold on and answered her phone to talk her love Paco. "mi amor" is Spanish for my love. I ask her if I can use the bathroom and took off the ear plugs off and stated sweetie we dont bathrooms here. I just left horrible horrible service!

Not sure of the store s service, but the management allow a mechanic by the name of hank to hangout there, swindling the store s sales & service away by persuading you that something else is wrong with your car, so you don t buy what you originally went there for. Definitely calling the corporate office.

They gave me wrong information trying to have me leave my car for a quick job on a starter for 100.00, when it cost more than that. The guy was under the influence of something . Went to another advance and it was a battery issue.

It's ok to pick up quick items and do small repairs. I don't buy their batteries, though. They run out of life too soon for my personal taste.
