I would give zero stars if I could. My car went in for a very routine keying of the side door and it took them nearly 3 weeks. They are only open from from 8:00 to 4:00 to pick up your car which is impossible if you actually have a job and go to work to pay for your car. They are milking the rental car agencies for sure too . Thankfully I didn't have to rent a car but if I did I'd be ticked Wonder if they're getting a kick back from insurance companies. Bad customer service all around

I had my 2017 Ford transit work truck repaired at C&l the workmanship was exceptional along with my interaction with Ed and Lauren. I would absolutely go there again and recommend them highly.

I have used this shop several times, but I will not be using them anymore. The quality of the repairs are not as good as they used to be. I had $9,000 of work done recently, and the next day when I tried to start my car the battery was totally dead. It could not be jumped. C&L would not even reimburse the cost of the battery replacement despite the thousands of dollars of work.

Had front collision damage repaired a little while back. Upon picking up the car a bag of old/used loose clips and screws were in the glove compartment with me thinking that they replaced the old clips and screws with new ones( they were billed on the insurance estimate). Although paint looked good and body lines looked good. i am currently removing underhood covers to replace the engine air filter and headlight bulbs. I am now seeing loose moldings and weather stripping and also seeing no clips in any of the holes attaching the grille to the bumper. Dissapointed. Ive heard great things about c&l. Ive been in the auto industry a while and this is just poor workmanship. Now i have to spend money out of pocket for hardware the insurance company had already paid for. Also i am now seeing silver paint overspray on my black car. Now i have to clay bar the whole car to remove the oversprayServices: Painting, Body & Trim

I rear ended by other car, who had Geico insurance. This shop is Geico's preferred repair shop. I am glad that I selected C and L body for my car's repair. I have Mercedes Benz CLS400, and they used all OEM parts for the repair. From first day to the day I received the car back, I got text message update every couple of days with the status update. They finished the work few days before it was scheduled to complete. Entire staff was very cooperative and they did very good job on fixing my car. I would recommend this shop for autobody repair.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Body & Trim

C&L is the most professional auto body shop I've had the pleasure to work with in my 35 years of driving! Patrice, Grace and Sam in the office were on top of answering all of my questions and Lou was very thorough in explaining the estimate of damages to me. Unfortunately I cannot give a 0 rating or else I would have given. Their communication is pathetic and they will not keep you updated when your repairs get delayed. It has been close to a month and have not received my car back. They have delayed it twice and still cannot give a timeline as to when the car will be ready.Services: Painting, Body & TrimServices: Painting, Body & Trim

This shop is linked with Geico. I was in an accident with a Geico customer and told to come here. Horrible customer service and worried about my car. It has been sitting torn apart for months and was never notified that parts were backordered and my car would not be available on the promise date. I had to call in myself to find out status. Now told that they don't know when the car would be done and they can't do anything about Geico no longer covering my rental car. Now without a car and will update on quality of repair if I ever get my car back...Update - recieved my car back a month later in great condition. Seems like a good shop, but lacks proper management. I had to call back weekly for updates and they didn't know when my car would be done until the day before it was done.Service: Body & Trim

My vehicle s repair was promised to be done in 15 days. It s been a month now and still not done. Every time I called to check on the status of the vehicle, I been told that the manger was at a conference and would call me back which never happened. The customer service is terrible and the office staffs are rude and have no courtesy or professionalism. Now I m here paying out of pocket for the rental car since my insurance would pay for rental for only 30 days. Beware of this place. The organization provided great repair job with OEM parts, however the customer service was not great and the quality control was weak. I had to go back twice to get small details fixed like the rear tail light not installed correctly. In addition, when they had to outsource the technical portion of the job to a dealership because they couldn't program the doors. I had to work around their schedule rather than them trying to be flexible for the customer.I would only recommend the repair shop if you want a professional factory-like finish. But, be prepared for poor customer service.

The first job done with this shop was meh / barely passable and the second was abysmal. For job #1, panels were attached but not well aligned with adjacent panels. I also had paint on the wheel (unrelated to the body work being done) completely scratched off when I got the car back. For job #2, estimates were done late and incorrectly. Information I was providing via multiple phone calls and emails were not being conveyed to their estimator. I ended up towing the car out of there and bringing it to Plains Auto to do the work. (Note: If you have AAA, you can tow the car to another shop for free.) Plains Auto was professional and personable, did the work for significantly less cost than C&L's initial estimate, and despite me actively searching for flaws, their work was absolutely perfect.I recommend going to Plains Auto. Just leave a message or email if they don't pick up but ask for Angelo and he will completely take care of you.

I recently got into an accident(fender bender) They got me in a few days after my accident, and got my vehicle back to me in a week. Overall a week and a half. They had excellent communication with updates on the progress of my vehicle. I recommend them.

I had a fender-bender in Newark and called Geico. They made an appointment for me at C&L for the next afternoon. When I got there, Lena, the Geico rep met with me, and she and a representative of the body shop inspected my car. Both of them were very professional. They explained what needed to be repaired on my car; they even fixed a minor dent at no charge which was not caused by the accident. They told me when the car would be ready. It was ready as promised and look great. I was very satisfied.

My car had over $5,000 worth of damage from hitting a deer. This body shop is good in getting you in and out with their initial inspection and repairing the car. I have a hard color to match and they perfectly repaired my car.

Not only did the repair job take several months, but they also used junk parts on my two year old car. It's been heartbreaking replacing junk shocks, junk hub assembly, etc. I had a bad feeling when it was taking so long for a job that my insurance expected to be done in a few weeks. We ran out of rental insurance and ended up spending thousands on a rental car while C and L took months to put junk parts on my car that I've already spent over a year still trying to rectify. Such a disappointing and frustrating experience.

The repair was not only slow, but riddled with errors.Do yourself a favor and avoid C&L! I won't bore you with ALL the details, but after C&L 'repaired' my Jeep Commander, I quickly started noticing things that weren't right, the most serious (I hope at least, could be other things I don't know about yet) of which was that they installed the WRONG size axle on my front left wheel and also botched the hub bearing on that wheel.This led to a squeak from the front end as well as a lot of road noise at higher speeds. When I told C&L something wasn't right, they pretty much blew me off and said that I needed to get new brakes and/or new tires to fix the issue. Turns out I didn't need either of those things, I just needed a legit shop to install the correct axle and a functional hub bearing. Luckily, Geico still paid for the additional $1100 in repairs my Jeep needed at the second shop I took my vehicle to after C&L just wouldn't help.Fifty days after the accident I finally have my Jeep back in good working condition, but only after a second shop was able to fix the errors C&L made.C&L sucks, steer clear.

C&L overall is a great company to deal with. The people at this location are wonderful. But that Katlyn is top notch. We have been doing business for a while now. Her care for her customers shows! I highly recommend auto repair/ auto body needs...You call Katlyn @ C&L East Hanover

C and L aims to please. Auto accidents are traumatic both physically and mentally, and C and L got my wheels like new ahead of schedule. Overly friendly staff - Lena and Luigi are terrific.No two accidents are the same, and getting your car like new is an art. I am picky about my ride - C and L was overly accommodating to address two small concerns after the initial repair. Now my ride looks like new. Hence the 5-star review. Thank you.

Outstanding customer service, friendly staff although it was my 1st time visiting this auto body they made me feel so comfortable as if i was a regular customer, not only was i extremely satisfied with the job they did on my door but they even took the time to wash my baby (my car) ! Hands down the best auto body shop in NJ

Very slow...it's been a week and they haven't yet given the pricing of the repairs to be done on my car....When I last called them, they are still 'diagnosing' and 'estimating' the repairs
