I just picked up my truck from George, my fiance Has used this shop in the past. And she was referred from her mother Suzanne Hamer. We are satisfied with job done I received a new timing belt and water pump package. Owning a business, I didn't want to be without my truck for long. So I am very satisfied with how fast these repairs were done and I will definitely be returning. Thanks guys! Trustworthy honest shop!

I was referred to Sweeny s from my mom Suzanne Hamer - I brought my car there a few times and he always is fair with pricing and a honest mechanic which is hard to find being a woman! I now referred my fianc� Dustin for his 2011 Honda pilot and Sweeney completed multiple things on the truck and completed the job in one day! He truly the mechanic to go to for your cars needs!

This is a great place to get your car looked at and fixed. The service is amazing and the price is reasonable. Sweeney's provided an Excellent service on a complex repair to my car recently. They are trustworthy and honest, & give timely communication & status updates. The owner was very responsive to my questions and has expert knowledge. Pricing was fair for the job. It is a pleasure and relief to know there is an excellent auto repair shop nearby. You can Trust Sweeney's for honest, quality auto care. If I could give 6 stars I would. Thanks!!

Impressive and highly recommended, I will give 5 stars since my oil leak was happening for more than a year now. The previous auto shop was only doing a band aid fix. When George of Sweeney's diagnosed it, they were able to fix and stop the oil leak. Customers need to be considerate since any oil leak is a major repair, don't expect this to be an 8 hour work, especially since there are a lot of cars parked and waiting to get serviced. Lots of customers mean, he must be a good mechanic. The price was fair.Services: Engine repair, Oil change

The short, heavyset owner George treats his employees like trash. I don't appreciate how he speaks in a nasty manner to his mechanics. I broke down on NJ turnpike on labor day evening and was towed there. I was pleased with the quality of work and the fair price. Spoke with George during the week who I found to be pleasant and professional. They were very busy but made sure my car was repaired correctly. My Dad who is a retired mechanic was equally impressed. Would certainly recommend Sweeney's. Two thumbs up!Service: Engine repair

Following a spate of unsatisfactory experiences both at dealerships and other repair places, I have evolved to be a predominantly DIY person. Yet there are situations where I need professional help, especially when things are not easily accessible. On one such recent instance, I got work done at Sweeney's, at the recommendation of my neighbor. And I am very happy with the service provided to me. George gave estimates up front for the labor and cost of the replacement part (I had insisted on OEM). Their labor charge was very competitive compared to that quoted by other places for the same work. But more importantly, the OEM part cost quoted was exactly the same as what I would have had to pay for direct purchase if I had taken the DIY route (there were a few online suppliers offering an extra $10-20 discount but that's too minor to consider). This is indeed a major plus point, since most of the others charge bloated prices for parts, going by my experience, and then install cheap aftermarket variants (which are in fact available for direct purchase at $30-40 a piece, if one is content with them).Again, a singularly pleasant experience and I will gladly return to Sweeney's whenever the need arises. I rate Sweeney's highly both for honesty and quality of workmanship.Service: General repairs & maintenance

It is hard to find an honest and quality mechanic. George and his team are professional and I trust them with all my car's servicing. I have been using Sweeney's for years and will not go to another mechanic.

Need repairs, oil change,tires, inspection. Sweeney, Gulf has the best service and mechanics. George is a great owner and very customer friendly. Been going to Sweeneys for the last 30 years and wouldn t go anywhere else.

Driving thru the area my tire pressure warning light came on. I quickly pulled in for air and the mechanic just about dropped what he was doing and helped me out. Topped off my tires and checked my warning light. Great guy. Able to get back on the road in less than 5 min. Thanks a million.

Have you ever been to a big chain like Pep Boy s or Mavis and felt like you have you prove that you re worth enough to have your car serviced? Has one of their reps ever huffed in your face, annoyed by having to answer your questions? Have you ever be talked down to because you questioned why it costs $500 to change a light bulb? If you answered Yes to any of these questions, JUST GO TO SWEENY S! George provides a level of QUALITY, CARE, EFFICIENCY, VALUE and CUSTOMER SERVICE that CANNOT be matched. His team of mechanics are very pleasant and you will not be nickeled and dimed. The big chains should pay him to consult on how to fix their terrible service operations.

This shop is very racist. We were refused service. We pulled in at 5:53pm; Google said they were open until 10pm. Owner and his helper were both outside doing work. After we explained that that we had a flat, owner looked at us and said that they were closed and Pepboys was down the road.

I've been going to Sweeney's many years now. I wouldn't bring my vehicles anywhere else. Honest, trustworthy and reliable is how I would describe Sweeney's Gulf

one of the worst places. They show no compassion to help there customers and what upset me the most was when my wife came in they couldn't keep there eyes off her and I over heard they say something about her backside which I find out later he was the owner. Crazy. Very nasty people.

Not happy after being a customer for over 15 years something had to be done and he chose not to do it and I would have paid for it I'll never go back there again you know especially for a sick woman he should have known better shame on you George

This place charged me $110 to tow my car 200 feet to my driveway. This totally unacceptable and unethical.
