Denis was excellent when I came in and explained my situation. He took the to the to ask questions to confirm my concerns. Took the car for a test drive and gave his assessment and recommendation. He was right. Gave me a quote and offered times to conduct the necessary repair. Came in the next day and spoke to Paul( equally professional). My car was done earlier than I expected. Had a 5:30 appointment, got there at 5:20. Wasn't busy. Nice guy greeted me and brought the car right in. Needed 2 tires. He told me the rear brakes were getting low which I knew. He suggested checking the alignment because the front tires were so bald. I expected he would say it needed to be done. He checked but said it was ok. I appreciated the honesty. I was in and out in 30 minutes. Would use them again.

Had a slow leak on my passenger rear tire, looked up this place and drove it there after pumping the tire up. Paul was very friendly at the counter and gave me all the pricing and "what-ifs" for how we'll proceed (if the hole is in a repairable spot or not, and so on) and promised to call me soon. Sure enough, he called within the hour to tell me it was finished, and I was good to go. I'm definitely going back to this particular Monro service center for any of my future flat tire repairs!

Both mechanics did a very good job on my vehicle, they are very professional and very helpful. They anwered all my questions and was very attentive to all my concerns. I will definitely take my truck back for all services to them.

Had a punctured tire right next to a wawa, called this business, and Paul offered to stay open after hours if I could get my car there. Filled the tire at the wawa and got here just as it was flat again. He found the puncture ( side wall ) and gave me a new tire at a fair price quicker than I could write this review. God bless this place and God bless Paul

An extremely disappointing experience. Today at 3 PM, 10/24/2023, I went to Monro Auto Service for full synthetic oil change in my car. I was told in the morning on my morning call for appointment that the oil change includes free tire rotation, oil filter, batteries checkup, etc. During the service, I was looking at the oil change through glass wall. The car was soon out in the parking area. Reaching to the person on the front desk, I mentioned that tire rotation has not been done. On being told by him that it must have been done, I suggested him to check inside from the workman. He came back with the excuse that tire rotation was not needed. Well, if this was the case, he should have told me in the very beginning by himself. It was a part of the deal. I made the payment. Later, I noticed in the printed service report that there was no mention of tire rotation being not needed. And, then I found that I was charged for the filter. Will all this, how can one trust even for the oil change being done properly?I already had a $20 coupon from another auto service, and could have saved the money. But I came to Monro because of additional free-of-charge services.This is not a fair business. I will never go in future to Monro Auto Service in East Brunswick. Of course, a lot goes by word of mouth.

Had to do an oil change on my 350 which is a small sports car. The first and second time they scratched the bottom of my car while trying to take it off from the stand and took off just $20 . Then also told me they had different management both times they scratched it so they couldn t remember the 1st time they scratched it (even though it was the same group of people before so yea alright) anyways don t recommend if you have a smaller and lower car.

brought my brand new vehicle there they ended up lifting the vehicle by the wrong spot denting the rocker panel and rocker panel covers. They completely disregarded the issue flat out told me call corporate they also promised the vehicle to be done at 2pm but never called to let me know they couldn t get it done

Miguel was honest and was able to get me a great deal to get the car back up and running. He will personally show you what parts he wants to fix and why.I showed up not knowing exactly what was wrong with my car, but Miguel (the manager) was able to show me exactly what was wrong with my car and give me options on how to fix it. Instead of just telling me what he needed to fix, he showed me why it should be fixed and what parts that should be looked at.

these guys are nice but not very good mechanics. Took my car there and asked for a full inspection. They charged me $1300 for an axle, front brakes (just labor not parts), tune up with spark plugs, oil change, & alignment. They missed that the motor mount was broken which was pretty obvious by the vibrating in the vehicle. They said it was a "hub lock" that was causing the vibration but could not find this part for my car and i don't believe i need it as the vibration stopped by fixing the motor mount. They didn't fix my right axle only the left and the right was just as bad. They didnt replace the boot on the axle even though those are pretty bad too. And then they stole one of the bolts that kept my tire onto the car. The other bolt was saving me from death and it was about 1/4th of the way left before screwing out and me dying. Went back to ask for the piece they took from me and they had no interest in looking for it. Overall pretty poor job.

Took my truck in for aftermarket exhaust installation kudos to Larry and his crew very professional job and great price for the tedious work involved. I would strongly recommend them for all you're services. Make it your first and last stop. You won't be disappointed.

Shane was exceptional. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. Was very thorough and took his time to explain all repairs my BMW needed and worked to get me the best price. Along with the price, the repairs came out phenomenal.Will be a forever customer here as long as Shane is the manager!

Manager Miguel and technician Anthony were terrific. They brought me inside and showed me all their findings in addition to the requested work, and even gave recommendations for following up on shoddy work that had been done in the past by other facilities. Miguel was very transparent and worked with me on a very fair price for the replacement of my brake pads, rotors, and calipers. Terrific experience overall, and I left feeling like my business was appreciated and they had my best interest at heart.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! I've been taking my car to Monroe for years but only for oil changes. I brought it in for an oil change yesterday and they noticed the front pads needed replacing which i knew prior to going in. When they quoted me the price i knew it was a fair price so i said go for it. He replaced the pads and noticed another issue, rather than call me back and pad the price by $100 he fixed it at no cost. He said it was his responsibility since he missed it initially. I now have a new mechanic. i highly recommend this place, he's fair and best of all very honest. I'm assuming this is new management

This was my first time visiting Monro Auto Service & Tire Centers. Originally from Rhode Island I was traveling through New Jersey and needed an oil change. I had been calling around to multiple places and everywhere seemed to either not have time that day, or gave me an appointment time for a future date. I desperately needed an oil change because I was already over designated mileage and the maintenance required light was on. I did not want to put additional miles on my car traveling back to Rhode Island. This would put wear on my engine and I had just bought this car! I was on a time crunch, and even contacted places like Mavis and Valvoline. Thankfully I came across this shop in East Brunswick. It was conveniently located to the area I was in jersey. I called and the manager Miguel was more than accommodating and allowed me to come in. He thoroughly explained what would be checked for this service. This included checking all my car parts, measuring and assessing my tires and doing a tire rotation if needed in addition to my oil change. As someone who isn t really the best at knowing cars I felt like I was getting genuine and honest advice and not just being told information to rip me off. The environment of the shop was calm and professional, and I felt comfortable waiting for my car to be serviced. Once my car was being serviced, the actual worker was prompt and careful. I could see him working on my car through the waiting area so I was making sure to keep an eye out. He treated my car with care and I truly appreciated that. For my particular situation I did not need to haven t tires rotated. They measured each tire to ensure that they were being worn down evenly and they were. Actually doing that service would do more harm than good for my vehicle. Especially when it comes to tires I ve had experiences in the past with companies like Mavis who aren t as careful with their clients tires. They will purposefully create issues so that your service is more expensive. That is not fair. Especially when you have clients who may not know cars as well, they are being taken advantage of. Miguel was extremely honest about what needed to be done. In the future when I need to get a service done I would immediately want to come back. Miguel even gave me his business card so that was I do go back to Rhode Island I could have his information. That way if I ever went to another shop or had questions I would have access to an honest and knowledgeable mechanic / store manger. I would be sure with him that I was not getting ripped off or that issues that are being said are there aren t really there. I feel very thankful for that because this is my first car and I want to be able to take care of it as best as possible. Overall I rate this experience a 5/5. I got prompt service and my issues handled with my car. The manager went above and beyond explaining in detail what would be expected. He didn t try to do additional services that were unnecessary. Finally, he offered his expertise even when I was not going to be going his Shop. That to me is excellent customer service and I only hope other shops would model this. He is also a psychology major so you know that he understands how people are and how to manage a business. I am truly impressed! He deserves to be moved up or at the very least given additional compensation for the time and dedication he puts in. I am not even someone who writes reviews, but I felt compelled to this time. New management & team here is great! They do a thorough check on my car everytime I come in even just for something simple like an oil change. Always greeted with a smile & given excellent service. Went in yesterday for tires & brakes and thanks to Carlos & Jeff, I was able to be back on the road quickly to enjoy the rest of my day. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone. Personable, efficient & fair-priced. If I could I'd give them 10 stars!

I always liked your convenience and pricing. Your techs were ALWAYS nice and honest. I HATED V pefk on line discount which I will probably never get. That's why you did it. I called corporate number and girl didn't care either. Its obvious you don't want my business. Oil changes and brakes, go to my local mechanic now.

First time visiting today. Was a little hesitant but I need a new mechanic. As soon as I stepped in the door the manager Shane introduced himself gave me a quick backstory on his experience and how long hes been the manager. Made me feel more comfortable. I only needed an oil change but it turned out I spent 350 bucks and change. Shane said something I wont forget "people will spend money on anything except their car" which should be priority and hes right. He was very thorough with me that I needed a new air filter with it then showed me my back brakes were in bad shape. Not at any point did I feel pressured. In my years of driving I know a little now and still consult a friend or 2 on what kind of deal I got. I even had to leave the car and Shane had someone there drive me home and bring me back when it was done which he didnt have to do. I thought that was a nice touch. He has a business to run but proved he doesnt wanna bleed people dry either. I'd say he has my return business. Very respectable

I called this place needing a new tire from having a blow out and just from speaking with Shane on the phone I knew this was a place I wanted to have my business. I searched around and other places, even with higher prices couldn't guarantee I would have the tire the same day and installed. Shane worked his magic making phone calls and got me my tires which generally most places don't stock Kumho tires, but Shane made it work. I forget the other guys name working there as well, but excellent professional customer service. I know where I'll be taking my vehicle to in the future. I hope they keep Shane and his crew around. Seeing Shane interact with other customers with his multiple connections shows he is well versed in the automotive industry and is able and willing to go the extra mile and help a customer in any way possible.

I hate to do this but after many service visits here, I will never go back. Took my car there for an oil change & tire rotation. The service guy didn't have the right tool to remove the lug nuts to do the rotation and actually started using my lug wrench and was removing them by hand. That was the only the beginning. After a few days I noticed leaking oil on my garage floor. I took my Santa Fe to my dealer and he said the gasket on the oil plug was missing and that's why my oil was leaking. This is truly unacceptable serviceI have taken 3 of my cars there in the past year and have been very satisfied each time. They are honest and fair and their prices are competitive. Easy to schedule an appointment. Highly recommended

Miguel the store manager was AMAZING ! I was looking at buying a car and I wanted to get it checked to see what condition it was before buying it. Thank Goodness Miguel helped me! He was thorough and honest. He helped me from being taken advantage of and making a huge expensive mistake. Thank You Miguel! Highly recommend him.

Avoid this location at all cost. They don't take appointments so you don't know when to go. When you do go they tell you they can't work on your car. I tried to get my car serviced for four days in a row. Incompetent and ungrateful are words I would use to describe this place. Rejecting customers isn't a good business policy, ever.Edit: I got a call from corporate accusing me of lying about this location not taking appointments. Unless I am deaf, I clearly heard them say no appointments and only first come first serve. I heard that on the phone and in person. If you just want cheap service go to any other national chain. If you want good and trustworthy service find a local mechanic.

Came to the shop today for new brakes. Brakes was in terrible condition. Made an appointment and immediatly car was put on a lift and inspected. Throughout the whole process everything was explained step by step. Miguel is like no other. He is the manager and runs the show. His show is not typical of a normal auto show. He is here to help you. As I said my brakes was in terrible condition and my cars brakes are more expensive than regular ones. He showed me the problems and let me visually see and touch and explained the issues. At no time did i feel i was being taken advantage of. In fact when we got to the actual price of service I was nervous. I wasnt expecting that figure. Throughout the whole process he told me I will work with you, and boy did he make good on that promise, and in the end I felt like we came to price that I know no other shop could come close to matching. Very happy and will be back with my other cars. Dont waste your time at other places. If you are in the East Brunswick area this is your place.

Went in for a $19.99 oil change. It ended up costing $33.78. If they had stuck to the listed price I may have given him a good tip that would have been similar to this price and a good review. But due to the ever fluctuation of the prices from the listed price he gets a bad review and lost my business. I m not going there again. (Last time I was there it did actually cost $19.99 so evidence of them being dishonest )
