They did an amazing job towing my car today! It was late and it was far but they helped me no problem! Even helped me unload it which wasn t easy since the car wouldn t start; and had no power steering. Appreciate James and the other tow truck driver (Billy?) but they were amazing. 10/10 would recommend them.Service: Car towingService: Car towing

Wound up with a flat on my way to school drop off/work. Wasn t in a place to change the tire myself with two kids in the car, so I called J&L on a recommendation. The dispatcher was honest about the time frame and Michael showed up even earlier and literally had me back on the road in ten minutes. He was so helpful and found the mail in my tire (yikes) and even stopped an almost car accident in the lot where we were parked.I just can t tell you how much it meant to have everything go smoothly after everything seemed like a disaster. Can t recommend them enough. Thanks, Michael, for saving the day!

Talk about a BAD service. Unfortunately, I was forced to use them via AAA. When the tow truck arrived a man named Chris jumped put. At this point everyone was aware that this service was paid for via AAA.However, after he put the car on his truck, he demanded 150 extra dollars. We where very upset as it felt like a scam. Unfortunately, it was a scam as when we called AAA about the tow they told us that we should NOT of payed. Chris was simply trying to scam us. Really poor business practices and VERY shady person.AVOID CHRIS at all cost, maybe avoid J and L as well, we only dealt with the slim ball named Chris.

AAA membership not required, but you get a discount if you are. Reliable, fast and most importantly, HONEST. I hate giving them my highest rating, because everyone will find out and it'll be tougher to get my car in for service. But truthfully, I refer everyone to them. If you don't like this place and the work that they do, there's something wrong with YOU.

One of their tow truck drivers was blocking my driveway and when asked to move he became incredibly hostile, I don t want this company in my neighborhood let alone hire them. If something like this happens with them again I will be calling the police instead of just asking them to move because who knows what these nut jobs will do.

John H. Was the driver that helped move my car. He went above and beyond when he heard I had kids. He took care of everything and I was able to go get dinner ready for my kids. He arrived at my house just as we finished eating. Perfect timing! My daughter's get super hangry so believe me when I tell you he saved my night. Thanks John!

Amazing service, my driver David was more than helpful. AAA did not make things easy but he worked with me, arrived quickly and got me and my car home in good condition. Needing to get your car towed is never ideal but this experience made the whole situation so much less stressful.Service: Car towingService: Car towing

What a bunch of crooks. You will have better chances pushing your car to where it needs to go. If I ever need a car towed again and these clowns show up, specifically Chris, I will just cancel and wait the 2 hours for a different company to show up or God to grant my car divine power.Chris stole $150 dollars from my wife and avoided giving a receipt because he was ashamed of his crooked ways.One word sums up these jerks---- CLOWNS------

All I can say is Thank you!!! Thank You!!! Thank you!!!This towing company is amazing! They had very reasonable pricing and my driver was very professional. The driver also got to us in a timely manner(I was told 5 hour wait from AAA) but he came within 20 minutes!!! which was awesome! And this driver is the absolute BEST AND EXTREMELY HONEST!!!!! I can not say enough good thing this about him truly an asset to the company.Service: Car towing

Thank you! The tow driver was very courteous. He did arrive late but it s understandable due to work pressure. Most importantly nice behavior is sometimes all it takes for customers to feel comfortable and I can assure you they are very nice and courteous. Also he did his job well and took well care of my vehicle while towing and hooking.

While I was traveling back home to South Carolina, I noticed my front tires was quickly wearing unevenly to a dangerous level due to an alignment issue on my 20ft. Isuzu box truck. After dropping off some items for a family member in Manahawkin. I was very concerned I wouldn't get home safely. I did have 2 brand new tires in my truck, however, every tire shop i stopped at, either didn't have the correct socket size or just didn't want to do it. I pulled into JL Automotive to inquirer, if they could install my 2 new tires, so I could travel on safely on my long journey. They not only said YES !! But, they had one of their techs jump on it immediately !! Also at a very, fair reasonably price. I want to take this opportunity to gratefully thank the service manager at the front desk and the Tech that got me on my way back on the road safety !! If I could give more of a star rating I would !!!Services: Tires, Auto tire replacement

David was wonderful! I broke down five minutes from my hunt test, With both of my grand champion chesapeake bay retrievers in their crates in my van. David was so worried about their welfare. I've been going to this place for years and they are always great. I bring my companies big box trucks there as well as all my personal stuff. They've always been quick if I need a tow and fair on price. J&L was sent to us by AAA for a battery issue. Long story short AAA falls short with communicating to the drivers what parts they might need to service the vehicle. Ryan was who was the mechanic sent to us went above and beyond to rectify the situation. We were super frustrated and he took the time to explain everything thoroughly to my husband and make things right. Thank you again Ryan for your awesome service. Mark came to my dead battery call. Well prepared, started my vehicle, tested my battery, told me it was at 30%, and I needed a new one.... He had one one his truck, installed it and I was on my way!!!! This guy and his company is awesome!! Very professional and nice to boot. Had an issue with my car and called the dealership (car was bought in a different state and is already paid off). Described the problem and the service guy said they could look at it in the middle of June. Which was at least 3 weeks away. Called around, nobody was answering (it was Saturday on Memorial Day weekend). Called J&L, he said they could fix it that week. Had car towed there and the only reason it took 2 days was because the parts store delivered the wrong part. Car runs great now and their prices were competitive. I'll be bringing my vehicle there again in the future.

I discovered J&L because they had towed my Highlander. The driver was great and prompt. They ended up fixing what was needed and are very reasonable. They are knowledgeable and attentive. The staff are very nice people and I will continue to have J&L take care of my car. Don't hesitate to bring your car to J&L.

Used this towing service through AAA and was very pleased. Driver arrived promptly, worked efficiently, and went above and beyond to help us get the car placed safely in our garage so my husband could do the needed work himself. We appreciated him taking those few extra minutes to help us out.

Our relationship with J L has been close to 20 years. They are dependable, their repairs and maintenance are as one would expect and are easy to deal with. This is by far the best mechanic shop I've ever worked with. We had an emergency situation, had our truck towed here, and the owner and staff went above and beyond to help get us on the road safe. The mechanics are honest and really stepped up to help us. I wish this shop was local to us as this would be our go to place. Thank you again guys!

On Sunday evening (4-16-23 I called AAA to tow my car to Lakehurst,NJ.. I was in Allentown,NJ when the car broke down.. Mike Varaday came wjth a flatbed trailer to do the task. He was very kind and polite to my sister and me.. He knew exactly where we wanted the car delivered. These guys were great. I was having a misfire issue and I was an hour away from home. Pulled in, they hooked up there scanners and helped diagnose my truck free of charge!! Very professional, clean cut, and honest. Would recommend to anyone in that area! Shout Out and Thanks to there Chevy Mechanic - it was the cylinder 3 and 4 coil packs! all fixed!

They stole my car at 4 and only returned my car when I threatened to call the cops on them. DO NOT GET TOWING HERE. They will steal your car for several hours and finally bring it to the location you choose only when you threaten to get police involved. I finally got my car back from him after 4 hours of screaming

DO NOT GO HERE! Their prices are fairly cheap but they come at cost of very cheap and easily breakable parts. They warranty everything so they will replace it however they are replacing it with the same terrible quality parts. I have had to have my struts replaced 3 times because the brand they used kept collapsing and when I told them I wanted a different, better quality brand, they refused service until I left and told them I'd be taking my business elsewhere. I have had two power steering belt full on snap and fray for no reason. I have had the same car type since 2009 and I RARELY had to change my power steering belt prior to dealing with this establishment. They use poor quality brake pads and rotors that wear down much faster than any pads and rotors I've used in the past. I'm normally not one to leave reviews like this but my fianc� just called to tell me that the power steering belt went AGAIN. Not only is this kind of service unacceptable, it's unsafe and will be putting your life and the lives of your passengers in danger. I have it on good authority from current and former techs that have worked there that yes, they purposely use cheap parts and they don t care if they have to replace them when they fail because it keeps people coming back. I can't wait until the day that every single part that JL has installed is gone from my car.

My 2002 Honda wouldn't start. I called AAA for a tow to Vanderveer's garage. J&L showed up for a tow in less than 20 minutes. Frank, the driver, was very professional. It was a great experience. (It helps that the car was at home, and I wasn't stranded out on the highway.)

Each and every time that I have dealt with JL they have been courteous, prompt, and fairly priced. From towing to repairs, I trust them to do the right things to keep me moving and safe on the road.
