Highly recommend the team and service at Russ's Auto Wrench. This is the most genuine Shop I have came across. They actually take the time to listen to your needs/concerns and have extensive experience in what they do. Manny who tends the front has decades of industry knowledge and cares about helping his customers out. The team inspects your car completely and thoroughly and then send you a comprehensive report with breakdowns and pictures of all current and future problem areas. Much better than any I have received over the years. They give you all the options as to what repairs you may need and leave it up to you what you'd like to do. I know with certainty they do no steer you in the direction of what will be most profitable for their business short term. They are concerned with what is best for their customers and doing quality work. I believe that mentality pays dividends long term though. I will definitely be returning and sending business their way. A+ service and people

First experience at this location. Customer service was spot on. Avery was exceptional Took my Audi here for front and back brakes and was half the price of the Audi dealer. And was happy to know that they had a technician who worked on my brakes who used to be an Audi specialist. Have some other servicing on my car that needs to be done and I will take it to Russ s again!

Russ and his team are always informative and show care for their customers.They gave me a detailed explanation with photos on all issues discovered and made recommendations that fit my needs and not the bottom line. Also unlike most shops who just talk to you and assume you know nothing about cars and repairs and just hand you a invoice. I highly recommend this shop for your car service needs.Thanks,JD

Phenomenal experience overall. The front desk staff was very communicative and provided updates on the progress. The work was great the job quote included pictures of the recommended work so you could see they weren t pulling your leg.I had an issue with my front end squeaking; the dealership wanted to replace everything from the shocks, to the bushings, to the CV joints for a price of $2400. Russ s shop looked at it told me it was the stabilizer link and replaced it for 1/10 the price. I've been to Russ's Wrench a number of times. I've never experienced the kind of attention to detail and specific reporting that they offered on my car as part of their regular service. I know Russ is working to create a top notch shop and is succeeding!!

Do not hesitate to call Russ's Wrench Auto Repair for anything you need done for your car!! Russ and his staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about anything to do with cars. We are from NY and were visiting family in Clinton. Our car had a transmission issue. Not only did they let us drop it off the same day, but they diagnosed the issues and sent us a complete report, with photos, also!! It was fixed in a very short time and drives better than it has in months!! They are fantastic!! We were amazed at the technology that they have. If we lived in Clinton, we would go there with all our auto needs!!

In the midst of a family emergency, my vehicle broke down on the highway. Normally I can do the work myself, however, with the emergency I was unable to. Russ' was able to look at my vehicle same day and have it back the next, allowing me to continue to tend to my family with limited interruption. Thank you Avery, Todd, and the entire Russ' Team for making a difficult time less stressful!

On July 3rd we were traveling and about 250 miles from home and from our destination when the alternator in our car failed. We found Russ' place on Google and walked in unexpectedly to see if there was anything they could do to help us. Russ and his team were very understanding, professional and polite. They rescheduled their existing work, bent over backwards to get us a new alternator and installed it that afternoon. They also gave us a loaner car, directions to a cute local town and restaurants in the area; Incredible customer service to an unknown individual. We couldn't recommend Russ' place and his team any higher to anyone lucky enough to live close to his shop.Service: Electrical

I went in for an oil change yesterday, and I was extremely happy with my experience. As other reviewers have noted, I received a text link that detailed the results of the full inspection of my car, which was very informative. Russ's team caught some issues during that inspection, and I was able to schedule a follow up appt before I left. They fixed our brakes and less than a year later, with less than 3,000 miles on them, they failed and needed replacement. They wouldn't give us a break on the price and since we only have 1 car and they're close by, we kinda stuck and had to use them. They charged 3,000 for a brake job and transmission fluid flush. We will NEVER go back there. For comparison, Don's Garage in Annandale did the brakes on my friends car for 1,100and gave then him a 40K miles guarantee.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto brake repair, Tire rotations

I was referred to them by a friend and did NOT disappoint. The fixed my transition after multiple fails and waste of money on other mechanics. They took a little while to fix it but it was mostly due to my insurance delay. They were very professional, friendly and efficient. At the end the owner (Russ) came to talk to me personally and explained everything and was very polite and professional. Would definitely Recommend.Service: Transmission

It s difficult to find a professional , courteousness , auto repair shop but now I have found one . Russ's Wrench is a very thorough, detailed, and transparent shop. They provide pictures, videos, and easy to understand explanations (even for someone who does not know much about cars) outlining the problems with your vehicle including the severity of each issue and a quote for each job. The employees are very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They are not the cheapest place to go, but they do provide quality work and quality service. I think that speaks volumes for a business and I will definitely be back when needed. Front desk staff is also awesome!

My first experience at Russ's Wrench was for an oil change. I was very impressed with the email they sent me with a detailed inspection of my vehicle, that was color-coded for emergent worked needed, and work needed that was not emergent. And Office Manager, Becky, called to follow up about my serviceA later experience with Russ's Wrench went beyond my expectations! I was working a later shift and used the morning to bring my dog to the vet for shots. Car was fine until we were on our way home and I had to exit 78 E at Exit 15, if you're local, you know you have to go from 75 to 35 mph quickly to make the turn. That is when my car started pulsating, HARD. I pulled safely into a parking lot, tires looked fine and I called over to Russ's. Alex told me to come right in, dog in tow. The drove my car, put it on the lift and quickly assessed the issue was the brakes. Alex offered to order the part, which would be in within an hour, but I had to be at work. He offered me an appointment next day, however, I did not have someone to drop the car off. He then offered me their concierge service. I dropped my car off at 8 am the next day, Tech Nick drove me home for work. Avery called me when the repair was done and arranged for Nick to pick me up to get the car. Again, Becky called me to ask me about my experience. I was blown away with the professionalism, compassion and service everyone provided me with that issue and I would recommend Russ's Wrench to anyone who needs a reliable mechanic!!!

I brought my Volvo XC60 to Russ's Wrench from a recommendation from my dear old sister. I had all my belts replaced as well as coolant system and fuel injection service. The whole process from beginning to the end was seamless. They kept you informed of your cars progress and even provided an estimate up front so no surprises like going to the dealership. I couldn't have asked for better service. It was a little bit of a drive but well worth the trip. A+++ in my book.

Went to car dealership to resolve a recall issue. Their courtesy check of the car revealed several expensive problems that required my attention. Brought my car to Russ s Wrench to resolve the problems. After a thorough check of my car, the problems described by the dealership didn t exist. I would like to thank Russ s Wrench for an honest assessment and for saving me from spending money on problems that don t exist. This was my first time at Russ s Wrench and I will be back.

Intermittent issues typically can be the toughest to diagnose because the clues may not be consistently available. That's where a talented, highly experienced diagnostician can be critical to avoid just replacing everything that *might* be the cause until the issue stops recurring. For a very long time, my now 18 year old Ford occasionally would receive the same intermittent Check Engine codes. A large Ford dealership repair shop was unable to properly diagnose the cause, & merely reset the codes & computer fuel-trim "keep alive memory" & test drove until declaring false alarms. (Multiple times, years ago, while the car was still under warranty.) Well, finally the issue became recurrent enough that I wasn't going to pass inspection, and the car also began having a separate intermittent issue, this time involving engine-area rattling - past time to get them fixed!New to the area, I researched to find I had the highly-rated Russ's Wrench team right in my neighborhood. Everything about the shop, including their online site, indicated it was very well run, so I made an appointment. A thorough inspection & report with a list of suggested repairs & costs were very helpful in deciding what to repair & what to defer. A "smoke test" was performed to diagnose & repair a vacuum leak & clamps/screws were used to secure rusted under-body attachments that were causing the occasional rattling. I still had a lot on the list that needed attention, but I deferred until it would be a more convenient time to leave my car. As it turned out when I made my follow-up appointment, they were able to promise completing the extensive work in a single day, making it much more convenient for me. Since then the car has passed inspection & is driving better than when it was new!Everyone was very pleasant & professional & I even received a follow-up call thanking me for bringing my car to their shop, a nice touch. The pre purchase inspection was done for about $60. The report helped a lot and staffs were kind.
