Trainwreck. 1 star is 1 too many for this place. So I made an appointent for 8:00 AM. Apparently so did 10 other people. A appointment should not have "at least 3 hour wait time" to change 2 tires. But that wasn't even the main issue. I have a beater car. 120,000 miles. But it get sthe job done. My 2 back tires are fine. The front desk woman tells me my car "should really get four tires'. I told her no way. Then she said, at least get the same tires you have in the back and put them on the front, I'll go see what you have". She comes back and says you have "Hankook tires, and one has a gash in the side wall" At which I said, you're a crook, took my key off of the counter and left. The picture shows the "gash", oh and the tires were Dunlops not Hankooks. Another snakeoil salesman, in this case, saleswoman. Way to lose a sale lady, and any future sales.

The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I came here after having a problem with a tire that kept losing pressure, and the dealership could not fix it. Mavis staff was able to fix it and even showed me the problem. I totally recommend them.My husband got a new tire and an alignment here, too. After he drove it for 2 days, he felt it was still off, and we returned, and they fixed it, no questions asked.Really love their service. They were also fast. Which is great when you have a busy schedule. I would recommend scheduling an appointment ahead of time just in case they are busy.

Had a great experience at Mavis in Clinton. Had no idea what I needed for tires and the man at the desk explained every single thing to me. Then they noticed that my brakes and shocks were in a dangerous position so they called me immediately and offered to take care of them. Dropped my Pilot off at 2p and it was done by 4:30p. My husband said afterward that he felt they took care of my needs and didn t overcharge me just because I had no idea what was going on. We just moved to the area and will be loyal Mavis customers from now on!

I made an appointment online pretty late in the day for service today at 5pm. The team there did ask me if I was dropping off or staying and I told them I would wait and they said they would keep me updated. Service was completed for a patch on my tire in less than an hour and they were all extremely helpful and friendly the whole time. Great experience and I could tell they were busy but still did everything to help me.

First I would like to start by saying hands down you have some of the best, most helpful staff at this location from the store manager to the service associates. Tommy answered all of my questions in a friendly and very helpful manner. I will definitely be coming back for all of my automotive needs, and referring others to this location.

My brake line failed. Fortunately, I was close to Mavis in Clinton (NJ) and just managed to get the car into their lot.From the start, the staff was incredibly welcoming. I told the staff - Tommy & Andy what the problem was. Tommy wrote a ticket immediately & told me that their master mechanic would be back from lunch in a couple of minutes. The mechanic, Jay, was a lifesaver. He put the car on the lift & brought me back to show me the failed line (& the pool of brake fluid on the floor). Andy explained the work and anticipated charges. They started the work as soon as I approved.Mavis gets major points for their communication. They kept me in the loop throughout the entire repair process, from the initial inspection to when my car was ready. They were upfront about costs.Overall, Mavis in Clinton is a trustworthy and reliable auto repair shop. They prioritize customer service and quality repairs, all at a fair price. They fixed my car quickly and efficiently. I won't hesitate to take my car back there in the future, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an honest and reliable mechanic.I have also bought tires from them in the past. Same great service and value.

These guys were awesome - I was from out of state, I had 2 flat (not repairable) tires and they got me back on the road in 1.5 days ! So professional & courteous ! I was really lucky to have these guys close by at the time of the accident - wish I lived closer, I'd use them all the time.

My experience at Mavis was great.. I went for an oil change for my 2016 Toyota rav 4.. They did the oil change and informed me my water pump was leaking.. I was able to go the next day and they were kind enough to show me the build up that looked like dried gum.. They were honest and reliable

I visited your location in Clinton the other day to get a price quote on four tires. Danny and Tommy were very helpful and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and gave me a great price. I will definitely be back.

Had a great experience at this Mavis. More so than others. Danny at the front desk was very polite and professional, him and the team got me in and out really fast. I'll be coming to Clinton for the service for future needs.

In the midst of a snow storm on a Friday evening I blew out a tire during a road trip. Thankfully Daniel and his team took care of me quickly before the end of the work day and made sure that I was safe to get to my destination on a replacement tire. I would have been in big trouble without their help.

Brought both cars in on different days for simple oil change and tire rotation. First car was fine but the second was a different story. When I picked up the car and brought it home, it smelled like something was burning under the hood. I found a puddle of oil sitting on top of the engine and now the car always smells like its burning when parked. I brought it back for them to clean it up but I'm not sure they even did anything because it still smells. Look elsewhere for quality work.

I want to THANK the guys in the Clinton office for their help on 12/7. I got a screw in my tires and even though they were down to one mechanic due to various reasons, they were able to plug up my tire so I could be on my way. I truly appreciate their quick turn around and help!

Went to this place for decades when it was STS. They seem much more forceful and less forthcoming than I ever remember. While it may be true that they are safety focused, it was hard to tell, I was underwhelmed and felt as if they are trying to take more advantage than needed.

I just came from this mavis on a Sunday and they were absolutely amazing. I am from PA and I came to visit a friend and had a tire changed yesterday and on my way here I knew something was not right and it was shaking on my drive to Jersey, I swung by this location to see if they could take a quick look for me . I explained my situation and how I was worried about driving back home and they quickly assessed it for me even though they were swamped. They checked my tire , rebalanced it and tightened everything up! I truly appreciate their help and feel a lot better about driving back home today.

This place is a joke!I come in to get a tire fixed and explain that there is air leaking from an old plug. They tell me it can't be repaired, that I needed a new tire!I even asked "so you can't put a new plug or patch it from the inside?" They said no, you need a new tire!They didn't even go and look at it!I mean, I get it if you don't do small jobs like that or if you're too busy, but don't tell me it can't be done when I've had it done plenty of times without a problem... Just to get me to buy a new tire!

I had the best experience today at Mavis of Clinton. Azka, Mike, and Liz went out of their way to help me first thing on Sunday morning.I made an appointment the night before when I realized I had a screw in the side of my tire. I have had a lot of unexpected bills and all three members of their staff went above and beyond to help me, making me feel heard and cared for.Mike was the only technician working on Sunday and thankfully was able to start helping me right away. Azka and Liz were going in and out to help get products and help him get cars in and out throughout the time I was there. Mike was so thorough and realized my breaks were so bad and that I needed new ones. I had an issue stopping recently and I had a suspicion that they needed replacing. They worked so hard to help me throughout the entire costly ordeal and never once made me feel bad and continued to explain the whole process to me. My six year old son and I were able to wait in their waiting room while they worked hard to get my car fixed for me while I waited.Azka and Liz were so pleasant and helpful to every person that walked in the door and called while I was waiting with my young son. My son even said how nice everyone is here.They were honest and helpful and that means so much when you have had bad experiencing in the past. (Especially when you don t know all that much about cars)Mavis is very lucky to have these three hard working and caring employees. I can t thank them enough for everything they did to help me. I suggest you go in and ask for them. They are amazing! I will absolutely be back to them for everything I need for my car in the future.

was in the other day to have some tires dismounted off my old wheels and new tpms sensors put in my new wheels, Jay was a big help with that and Andy and the service writers were a big help as well

My car was towed to this location and having your car towed anywhere is never a good fortune. However, when you're met with great customer service and a crew that genuinely want help you it makes your unfortunate day a whole lot better. Although the entire team was very helpful and informative, I would like to mention, Dariyal, for his exceptional customer service. I don't write reviews much but this was warranted. Thank you Dariyal and co.

A basic oil change with no special oil, no checking fluid levels, no tire pressure check, no anything! for $83? How can I possibly rate this place any better? I'm finding a new place to have my car's servicing done! "Boo" on Mavis for almost tripling cost and cutting service while doing it!

I called to schedule an appointment in the afternoon and was told they could fit me in the next morning due to me having a spare tire on and I would be in and out 30 minutes with a discounted price due to inconvenience. However, when I showed up the next day, I was told completely different. They couldn t squeeze me in and I would be without car until the end of the day. The price also was not was discussed on the phone. They told me I spoke with someone at the main center even though I called this number listed. Do not recommend this place.

The staff at the Clinton NJ store went above and beyond to get me in without an appointment for the alignment of my truck on Saturday 8-7-21. I arrived at 9:45am and they were extremely busy. They completed the alignment on my truck around 10:30am and my truck now goes down the road nice and straight without pulling to the right, and the steering wheel is perfectly straight. As a side note: While I waited at the store for my truck to be completed, I witnessed the staff interact with several customers and they were very professional and courteous. They were straight forward and did their best to accommodate everyone that came through the door. That includes one customer that was anything but pleasant and berated and threatened the staff. The staff did an excellent job trying to resolve this customers problems, but in the end it appeared to me this customer didn t want a resolution at all, and came in simply to unload on them for an issue created by their own family members doing. So if you see a recent negative comment, please disregard it, as that person was not going to accept any resolution offered, and the staff did a great job trying to resolve the customer created issue!!! Thanks folks for a great first experience with Mavis!!!!
