Left my car with this shop as my car was having trouble accelerating and my check engine light was on. Next, I find out I've been charged $500 for them to "tune up" everything in my car. I was never called beforehand and asked if I wanted this done, forcing my to pay the money for minimal work done to my car. Not only are some of the basic problems with my car not fixed, such as my AC power level 3 not working after replaced spark plugs, but nothing was actually replaced or changed as he said he couldn't find anything wrong with the car. This solves my problem for about a week, until (you'll be really surprised by this) the same problem occurs again! Because I got charged an insane amount of money for no real work to be done to my car. Since this is a small town shop, I understand why everyone gives it good reviews, but if you want an actual mechanic I would recommend going elsewhere. Completely unprofessional to not call a customer before going to work on their car, and charge them for hours of work when you didn't change anything.Since it won't let me reply, I will edit this to respond. I took it to another mechanic and they found the problem and called me to ask if they would like for them to fix it. I thought about bringing it back, but you charged me money to tell me you could not find the problem, so I didn't want to take my chances. I am bitter which is why I resorted to my sour review, but I wanted my experience to be told. You are well respected within the community and I'm sure you are a fine mechanic, but my experience was just dissatisfactory

The following is my honest experience with Riggins from last week. Take it for what it's worth.Took my car in for a full brake job. Brakes were changed, fluid serviced and diagnostics test run. Job was completed same day, picked up car and all seemed well.5 to 10 miles into driving the car, with my wife and thee kids in the car driving into the circle on cinnaminson Ave, my power steering failed, without warning, causing my to almost hop the curb and crash out onto the sidewalk as my steering wheel locked up completely upon acceleration. WOAH this was scary. Carefully drive the car the rest of the way home. This happened Saturday morning. Called the shop on Monday and they said to bring it in. They checked it out and said the pump went bad, said these things happen to old cars (2010, 130k miles), and quickly said the price to fix is $1,400, do you want us to fix it? I said no I will come pick up the car.Had the car checked by someone with decades of experience as a mechanic, and the first thing they checked was the power steering fluid tank. It was bone dry. Keep in mind I had zero issues with power steering before taking it in, no leaks on my driveway, nothing. It was their opinion that since there was no fluid in the tank that it likely caused the pump to fail. If I had a leak, I would know.Went back to Riggins to explain the situation, but they basically told me to screw off and there was nothing they did that could have caused the power steering to fail and that, since it's an older car, these things just happen.Take it for what it's worth. I had no hard evidence so I left with my tail between my legs, out over a thousand bucks to get it fixed (not at Riggins). This happened a little over 5 miles after they worked on my car. Quite a coincidence! Ugh.**EDIT - I never directly accused you of INTENTIONAL foul play, simply was stating my experience. I will never know why my power steering, which worked perfectly when I dropped my car off, failed almost immediately after I picked up the car.Publicly disparaging another local company, taking my words out of context, is a bad look. You have an excellent reputation, my normal mechanics lot was packed with cars, so I took it to you. It's as simple as that. Ivan is an amazing, and honest mechanic. Maybe you are too and this was just an anomaly? Also you aren't being honest. You completed the job on a Thursday. I didn't drive the car again until Saturday morning when this happened.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Cinnaminson Riggins is a great place to take your car for maintenance and repairs. I called in this morning because I had a warning light telling me there was something wrong with the charging system. I brought the car over there and they diagnosed a bad alternator. They got the part and had it repaired for me by 7:00 pm.John goes above and beyond to help his customers out. His pricing is very fair too.I'm glad John and his staff are part of the Cinnaminson community.Service: Electrical repair

John is the owner of this local treasure. So many in the Cinnaminson community rave about John as a trusted, loyal, and reasonable business owner. He treats people the right way and as such has developed a loyal customer-base. I should point out, his prices may not be the CHEAPEST every time. But I learned early, cheap is cheap. John's prices are low, fair, and represent the quality work that he does. He does not try to upsell customers and he always does his best to ensure that the customer leaves happy. It is an incredibly hard business with not a lot of help. Those of us who have found him in a time of need know people in his position are few and far between. While you are there, fill up your tank with a quality gas that is better than Wawa.. and try the pizza, it is fantastic as well!

I am very pleased with Riggins. I've had a tire repaired here and they were so prompt with repair and answered my concerns. A few days later I had my car inspected at Riggins. I was so pleased with the service. John Fighali and his crew are knowledgeable and very capable. I'm planning on having my car serviced here from now on! Costs are reasonable also! Highly recommend!

I asked for them to check the service light and help us get the inspection. Well, after they do $1,000 of repairs they call me and tell me what they did. After!? Anyway, Joe was so vague about the repair, he didn't give me the service numbers. the things done are not that expensive. So I told him not to ever repair without calling me. The next day, he explains there is a coolant leak. He needs to replace the hose. Tries to sell me that he needs to buy the whole kit for $350. But this is the kicker. He says it is 6 hours of work. He wants me to pay $1,000 to change a hose. Nice guy. This is my mom's car and she needs pickup and drop off which he offered to do. I wanted to build a long term relationship but now I need to validate his work.

John went above and beyond when he fixed my truck. He fought to get the parts he needed to fix my truck. He was told the parts were on back order for 4 months but he found a way to get them. Thanks!!

Great experience. John got me in for an oil change on the same day I called the day before Thanksgiving. Better yet he didn't overcharge me or "find" maintenance issue like the last shop I went to.

Purchased a Toyota Camry here and after 2 months of searching I knew I found a good buy here at Cinnaminson Riggins. The owner was upfront, respectful, the car in excellent condition, and the transaction was smooth and easy. I am so happy with my Camry. Thank you to the team at Cinnaminson Riggins and John for all their help!

I purchased a used Kia from a private sale a few months ago. Shortly after getting it - I brought my car to Riggins after the power steering stopped working since I've seen good reviews on Facebook. I was told that the power steering pump needed replacing and paid over $400 for that to be done. Two days later - the power steering stopped working again and I said I could drop it off for a few days since I was going away to give them time to look at it. I was called and told the power steering line went and he replaced that. I asked if that was part of the original pump replacement and was informed no - that it was now an additional over $300 and the repair had already been done without my consent. If the pump was replaced two days prior - the line should have been seen and done at the same time so I didn't have to pay labor costs 2x over! Plus - the repair was done without my consent and now I was forced to pay another big bill that I just didn't have the money for. At the time I was told about the line, the mechanic also told me that my wheel baring axl was starting to "look worn and might need replacing down the road".Well, less than a week later - that went and I took my truck to another mechanic after the power steering fiasco and this mechanic couldn't BELIEVE I was even allowed to drive this car from the shop!! He put it on the lift to check the axl and it was almost falling off AND the whole frame of my truck was barely being held on by a few welds underneath!! A death trap that me and my kids were driving around in. While the private owner I bought the car from is at fault - how does a licensed shop look at the undercarriage and not say ONE word - yet take over $700 of my money to repair something that was totally unsafe to drive!! So much so - that the truck had to be sent for scrap - so not only am I out a vehicle - I'm out all that money for a repair bill that should have NEVER been done in the first place!!!!

We highly recommend the service of Cinnaminson Riggins. We just bought a used car from them. We were first-time customers and have been very anxious about buying a used car. They took away the fear and the pressure and helped us to work through everything - including repairs on the car that were needed within the first 24h. Definitely not everyone would do that. They will not screw you if you buy a car from them! The team was very friendly and we are happy we found that place. We definitely will bring the car for repairs since we know that they will not take advantage of us.

Love Riggins. The only place we get our gas. Always friendly. We have also had work done on both our trucks and a transmission swap on a mustang. They are fair and trustworthy!!

This place WILL LITERALLY ROB YOU. I brought my car in and had the fuel pump replaced. First of all, they could not figure out that it was the fuel pump, they ordered and replaced "the computer" first only to find out it wasn't that, then they replaced the fuel pump and it resolved the problem. I was already skeptical bc they were ignorant to a problem that should have been obvious. So I was charged labor for switching the computer when it wasn't even that! Then I bring it back 1 month later bc I'm having the SAME EXACT symptoms as when I first had it repaired. They tell me the repair is still under warranty so to bring it in so they can check it. I do so. An hour later they call and tell me that it was not the fuel pump, it was the exhaust system, and so it will be $120 for the check!!! I explain I was told to come in for a check bc my repair was still under warranty and that I was NOT told nor did I consent to this simple check costing me money when I was justttt told my repair is UNDER WARRANTY AND WILL BE REPLACED FKR FREE if it was the furl pump. So they say since it wasn't the fuel pump, it's $120 just for checking it! How was I supposed to find out if it was the fuel pump without checking it?! How does a company not tell you "by the way, it will be $120 if it's something else..."they were extremely nasty and ignorant and unwilling to work with me. I feel literally robbed! This is insane! No one told me this would cost money, they even implied it wouldn't over the phone before I came.DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! I'm surprised they've received ANY good reviews ever. But based on my experience alone, I'm telling you, DON'T RISK IT! ESPECIALLY IF YOU AREN'T EXTREMELY VERSED IN AUTO REPAIR. They WILL take advantage of you!! SCUMBAGS!!!!!!
