The most hands down bed and breakfast on the East Coast. What makes this so? Easy: the Innkeepers and staff. Eric, Rochelle, and Tanya make you feel like family. From tips to where to get the best margarita, to stories about the history of Cape May, you get an incredible experience with a historic Inn and a free concierge team, with meetings every morning to help plan a new day and new experience! And every morning you are treated to culinary delights as Rochelle (we later found out) had owned and operated a very popular farm to table restaurant and can execute on fancy dishes to your standard classics without batting an eye! The location is the best of all the B&B's without question too! A short Stone's throw to the Atlantic and the heart of the boardwalk, and more great eateries, bars, cafe's, coffee shops, shopping spots, and sweet treats! No need for a car when you come here unless you want to venture out beyond the fray. I would give 10 stars if I could. This will be an annual tradition now, and for years to come. Thanks so much for keeping us entertained and comfortable during our stay!

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend stay at Mason Cottage. Our room was lovely, comfortable, quiet, and clean. The innkeepers, Ro and Eric, went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. They made great recommendations for restaurants, sights to see, and activities. The two-course breakfasts were so delicious! The inn is a block away from both beach and historic downtown (shops, restaurants, pubs .). After a full day, it was nice to relax on the porch or in the parlor. We highly recommend this beautiful historic bed and breakfast!

My husband and I stayed at the Mason Cottage overnight in the Hughes room. The B&B is stunning during Christmas time and the Inn keepers were extremely friendly. I called to ask them if we could check in a little early and they were very accommodating. The location of this bed and breakfast is also amazing! A short one block walk to the beach where we watched the sunset and sunrise. It s also just about a 3 block walk to the main hub of activity in Washington street mall. There s lots of cool small shops with great restaurants nearby. The area is very walkable and a gorgeous place to take a stroll and admire all the preserved vintage homes. Couldn t recommend them enough

Cozy, a lot of rooms have been updated, great breakfast (one of the very few places offering a Vegan option :D) and warm customer service... a true Bed&Breakfast experience.We visited during an off season (March) - quiet and relaxing.

Pefect place for a quick getaway weekend. Hosts Ro and Eric are friendly and extremely accommodating. Rooms are comfortable and immaculate. Breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented. The Mason Cottage is perfectly located with just a very short stroll to beach, shops, restaurants. Reasonably and fairly priced. Highly recommended.Rooms: Super-comfortable bed, convenient outlets, clean bathrooms with plenty of towels and amenities.Nearby activities: Very close to shops, beach, restaurants, churchSafety: Security code to enter was provided. Very safe and secure.Walkability: Close to everything with a short stroll.Food & drinks: Delicious and creative breakfasts, beautifully prepared and presented.

Innkeepers, Rochelle & Eric, could not be more wonderful and/or accommodating. We received a courtesy call letting us know our room was ready early and the attention to detail continued throughout our visit. Breakfast was filling and delicious and they accommodated a dietary need, which was much appreciated. The location of the B&B is ideal - very close to the beach and town. We parked the car and just walked everywhere with ease for 5 days, which was delightful. We come here yearly to relax and unwind - again, their kindness and doing their jobs so well allowed for that. Thank you!Rooms: Franklin is a nice room that can accommodate up to three people in two private bedrooms with a shared bathroom. Perfect set-up for our family.Walkability: Close distance to the beach and townFood & drinks: Breakfast alternates between a savory egg dish and a sweet breakfast dish. We enjoyed the daily smoothie selection that came with breakfast.

My wife and I were fortunate enough to stay a few nights here and we very much enjoyed our experience. The weather for the weekend was not ideal but we made the most of it with the help and recommendations from Eric and Rochelle. Breakfast each morning was a pleasant surprise and the location of the B&B to walk around and about was nicely convenient.Would stay here again in the future in a heartbeatWalkability: Very convenient location to walk to shops, restaurants, and the beach

My husband and I had the most wonderful overnight stay at the Mason Cottage! The photographs online truly don't do the inn justice. The rooms are elegant while being comfortable as well. Our room and bathroom were super clean and charming and felt very private. Breakfast was amazing! I was expecting muffins and coffee, and we were served a wonderful 2 course gourmet breakfast that we talked about for days. The innkeepers, Ro and Eric, are just the warmest and most welcoming people. The location is very convenient - close to the beach, shopping, restaurants and all that Cape May has to offer.

My husband and I just spent 2 nights at The Mason Cottage. We had a great time! The Cottage is exactly as described on their website. Eric and Ro were great hosts.The breakfasts were super yummy. Location is perfect. Walking distance from the beach and the center of town. Eric gave me great suggestions for both days. I highly recommended. And their Brady is a cutie!!

We had a great time here in early May, 2023. Eric and Rochelle were wonderful hosts, and their dog was awesome. It got quite warm in our room one night because the AC window units aren't being put in until May 17th. But the room itself was very nice, and the two breakfasts that we had there were both amazing. We got a parking spot on Columbia Ave 250 feet from the Cottage, which was very convenient. We left the car there for our entire stay, and walked around Cape May.

My husband and I celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary last week at Mason Cottage and cannot say enough about what a charming Bed and Breakfast this is from the place itself the location, the hosts and the food. We stayed in the Hughes Room which was very comfortable and clean. If your looking for a quiet quaint place to stay only one block from the beach this is it!!

My husband and I stayed for his birthday weekend and it was phenomenal. The breakfast was amazing! The room we stayed in was extremely clean and beautifully kept. We were able to sit outside on the porch for our breakfast each morning which was wonderful. The staff was extremely sweet. The location of the house was perfect walking distance from the beach and Washington mall. I could not say enough great things about this B and B. I highly recommend staying here. We will 100 percent be back for another relaxing stay.

Beautifully decorated and well maintained historic B&B. Suites are spacious and spotlessly clean. The Innkeepers are very friendly and attentive. And the breakfasts were upscale and top notch. The souffle was divine. Loved the location....a block to the beach and a couple of blocks to the Washington Mall with lots of shops and great restaurants.

Rochelle and Eric were absolutely amazing hosts. My wife and I loved our time there with them. The food was phenomenal, the rooms were clean, and they were more than conscious of ensuring everyone's privacy. They are also just great people to spend time talking with and getting to know. I will definitely recommend it to other people, and hope to be back sometime in the future!

Loved loved loved our stay here! We will definitely be returning. Rochelle and Erik were great hosts and their home is beautifully well kept and looked after. Breakfasts were creative and delicious!Rooms: Rooms were clean and beautifully decorated...just a touch of the vintage world with the modern day comforts. The bed was super comfy as well!Nearby activities: Washington Street is very near by as well as the beachSafety: We felt very safe and secure staying hereWalkability: Resturants, shopping, beach and other explorations were close byFood & drinks: Breakfasts were great. Every single meal was creative, fresh and tasty!

This was the finest experience we have ever had at a bed a breakfast. From our check in to our departure, no detail was overlooked. Ro and Eric are the ultimate Innkeepers - friendly and hospitable with great suggestions on local dining and activities. Looking forward to our next visit!Rooms: Our room was spacious and clean. No detail was overlooked!Walkability: We were a two-minute walk from the ocean and boardwalk and about the same distance from Washington Street Mall. Location was perfect.Food & drinks: Every morning, breakfast was a real treat. What a great way to start the day

The property manager is friendly, outgoing, and a true pleasure. He breakfasts are exceptional. Location is near everything you will want to do. Just blocks from the beach, local shopping village, bars, and restaurants. The home is spotless, clean , maintained and well decorated for each holiday and season. The biggest drawback is no private parking, but that is rather common for b&b in that area.

Loved everything about our stay! Melissa is a great host and was so friendly! Amy was also a doll and we loved their cooking! Every breakfast was delicious! The location is perfect to everything you would want to do and the fact that they have beach towels, beach chairs and bikes you can use is an added bonus! It was so quite and relaxing. Can t wait to come back!

Eric and Rochelle make you feel like you are at home. The house is very clean and the food is fantastic. We will recommend their b&b to all our friends and family heading to Cape May.Rooms: The room we stayed in was spectacular.Nearby activities: We loved looking at all the Victorian HomesSafety: We felt e trembly safe walking everywhere.Walkability: Everything is walkable and accessible. The restaurants and shop were all so close. We walked everywhere.

What a beautiful B&B! Marissa is a gem, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful! Each breakfast and snack time, we looked forward to what magic she created, (Marissa, we were serious about that cookbook)! The inn itself is beautiful, and the location couldn t be better. We parked our car at the beginning of our stay and didn t move it until checkout! Overall, a wonderful experience.

It was our first B&B and so glad we chose here! This place is a gem. The Inn Keeper, Marissa, was wonderful. Every morning, we looked forward to her home cooked breakfast (fantastic egg souffle) every morning, and mingling with the other vacationers at the breakfast table was part of the fun and unique B&B experience! Great location, everything downtown was walking distance. Jacuzzi room was very cozy and with comfortable beds! We called it our home for the weekend, and would definitely love to return!! Highly recommend

The Mason Cottage was the perfect bed and breakfast spot for me on a recent visit to Cape May, NJ. I have stayed in several B&Bs there but this one was exceptional. We were greeted as we entered and given clear directions on the home amenities as well as the surrounding area. The suite we rented, the Warne Suite at the top floor, was actually 3 rooms: a large sitting room with sofa, chairs, TV, and window with clear ocean view. Down a hall was a convenient refrigerator and glasses/ice bucket. (It's really nice to have glass instead of paper or plastic cups!) Then a large bathroom has a shower and a jacuzzi tub. Then the bedroom was also large with 2 dressers, night tables, closet with bath robes, and views of the ocean! Breakfast each day was a treat and obvious care to present it well. Dietary restrictions were honored. (Thank you for vegan sausage!) Each afternoon treats and various refreshments were offered. Bikes, beach chairs and towels made it convenient to walk one block to ocean. Evening walk of 1.5 blocks to shops and dining meant we didn't use our car one time during 3 days! And no metered parking on street directly in front of home! The home itself is obviously well cared for and the bright colors and lighting are much nicer than the dark wallpapers of other homes. The only downside is the 3 flights of stairs to the top which can be challenging with suitcases and other beach bags. Of course, rooms on lower floors are available. I hope to return to this B&B in the future.
