I come here at least once a year. Ocean front suites are great. Very relaxing, very clean, and the staff are very kind. I love all the birdhouses throughout the property and hearing all the sandpipers chirping in the morning. This is my go to place to stay in Cape May and I highly recommend it. It's in a great location, too. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants.

Great place with great views of the ocean. I got the two bedroom corner room everything was very nice and up to date with appliances and furniture. Very spacious and quiet since it was the off season check in and check out was quick and easy. They have a nice gym, game room and common area with a lot of books and board games to choose from. The sauna was awesome to did not use it just checked it out. Would definitely stay here again

Our family stayed at the Sandpiper for a September trip to Cape May. When we checked in on Sunday, the girl at the front desk was overwhelmed so our check in experience wasn't great, and since this was our first time at Sandpiper we missed some key details. But the staff made up for it during the rest of our stay, and Mike, the GM, was fantastic. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, well worth the price. After all, we get what we pay for. Contrary to another review, our room did indeed have streaming on all three TVs. Hotel pool is brand new, and proximity to the ocean can't be beat. Also, the dedicated parking spot is a nice bonus. We'll definitely be back. Cape Resorts properties really are superior.Rooms: Beautiful rooms with updated kitchens, great views, and streaming TV.

I can t say enough of how great the management is at the Sandpiper ( and I would assume over staff for all hotels ) My mom and I were supposed to stay at the sandpiper until a family emergency arrived unexpectedly. I called to explain what was happening and the manager went above and beyond to help. Suck empathy and caring. I was overwhelmed for you don t get that anymore. I am so thankful and for that reason alone even though we didn t stay they we definitely will stay now just based on how kind they were. Thank you

The staff is terrific. The rooms are way overpriced. The photos are of our original room advertised as having a "town view". This 2 bedroom apartment costs $8K a week. Fortunately, the staff were extraordinary in responding to our disappointment and after 2 nights we were moved into a much nicer apartment with actual views. You should also know that as of 2023 the TVs are incapable of streaming so you are left with basic cable. The beds were adorned with very nice bedding but the mattresses were bad

Rooms are well appointed, updated, clean and fresh. Loved the location!Close to beach, restaurants and night life.Really enjoyed our stay. One criticism is the laundry makes an awful notification signal when it's finished and it keeps going off until u get your laundry out....not suitable for sleeping through. But probably only requires a change in settings.Would recommend 20/10!

An incredible experience, genuinely above and beyond our expectationsThe unit had two separate rooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a living room area which is incredible for the price rangeIt was right by the seaside with so much places to go in walking distance that we didn't even use a carAmazing rooms, amazing price, amazing location!

This was our second stay and it was memorable! It's an outstanding hotel and the location is fabulous. Some challenges were lack of towels in the pool area (waited 30 minutes after calling), lack of chair covers in pool area and inability of housekeeping staff to read a note regarding towels needed. We will continue to come back to the Sandpiper.

Absolutely love this place. If you spend up a bit and get a two bedroom, your views of the beach and ocean are terrific. When you get a one bedroom, you'll have nice views from the balcony, but that's about it. We've stayed in a couple two bedroom one bath units and also a couple of times in a two bedroom two bath premiere units, and their views are very much worth it.I never interact much with the staff here, but the rooms are always very clean, and the new texting concierge feature is definitely nice.Heated pool is excellent during the season (closes around middle of October), and their facilities (gym, showers, etc) are actually underrated.Location is spectacular. Right on the water with short to manageable walks to many Cape May attractions, including Beach Ave restaurants, Washington Mall, Congress Hall, the Cove, etc. Heck, Exit Zero filling Station isn't a bad walk at all.My only gripe about this place is the price. Even off season rates will cost more than I'd expect, which makes our family more choosey when it comes to our vacation schedule. That being said, I've never regretted the spend after the fact.

Great location- close to shops and food. Just a quick walk across the street to the beach. Chairs and umbrellas set up for you. Rooms are clean and spacious. Great pillows and lines. The shampoo and soaps smell great and are a good quality. Friendly staff, new pool and a great gym! Liked it so much we recommended to friends and came back this year with in-laws, cousins, and siblings.

Probably our favorite hotel so far in Cape May! Clean room with everything you could ever need. Great location. Love the private balconies. Best gym in Cape May! Love that you can charge Brown Room and Blue Pig to your room for a quick bill. Only complaint was that the railing height on the balcony was at eye level while sitting on the rocking chairs and you couldn t really see the ocean :) Perhaps higher chairs?

The location was perfect, close to everything. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were clean. They had a coffee maker and coffee and a toaster. The bath accessories were very nice.On the down side the ac unit is very loud but if you leave the fan running its a good white noise. Overall a nice place to stay and would consider it again.

The conveniences of an Air BnB, but the service of a hotel! This is the perfect hotel for a family vacation. My husband, toddler, and I just got back for 4 days at the Sandpiper and we couldn t have been happier with our selection. The rooms are nicely appointed, with fully functional and equipped kitchens. I was so impressed with that the kitchens had pots, pans, cooking utensils, plates, drink wear, and even came stocked with coffee, dishwasher pods, soap, and paper towels. It felt like having a beautiful beachfront condo, without having to do the cleaning! We will certainly be back. My only suggestions to Management would be: 1) PLEASE get blackout curtains for the bedrooms. The sunlight is bright and it s hard to kids to sleep in a bright room. And 2) I noticed our TVs had full cable. I don t really think this is necessary in 2022 (it s probably costly for the hotel!), and would have preferred access to streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, etc). I can t wait to plan another visit!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Sandpiper and will definitely be back. Easy to book and staff was attentive leading up to our stay and during the stay really like the texting service to address questions and needs before and during our stay. Condo was a good size; corner balcony was a little tight on space, but still great to have. Access to beach couldn t be easier in Cape May and the beach chairs/umbrella service was nice to have as well. Very convenient location walk to nearly anything and right next door to Congress Hall to take advantage of spa and bike rental services.

We enjoyed our stay! This was during COVID-19 so the pool was not open. Still a great view and the Beach was right across the street. Room was comfortable. Housekeeping was great and very accommodating. We had an issue with our AC so they moved our room. We upgraded to a better suite. They sent staff to help us move all of our belongings. I believe his name was Scott (from the Congress hotel), he was amazing!! Very happy with our stay.

Overall the place was great. A bit expensive but it was a legit 2 bedroom condo with a full kitchen (full size appliances and dishwasher) with a living room. 3 tv's and decent cable. We had good privacy, 2 balconies and it was ocean front. Overall no complaints!

My family & I decided to do a last minute weekend trip to Cape May, NJ. This was the first time we stayed at the Sandpiper Beach Club, but let me tell you how pleased we were! Beautiful, clean, spacious, fairly priced! We LOVED the ocean view on the balcony from our room. The room itself had a full kitchen, living room, bedroom, 2 TV's, balcony-- what more could we ask for?? We will DEFINITELY be going back here very soon. :D

My first trip here, I had an absolutely amazing room, but my ocean view was obstructed by the pool and building across the street. This time, my room was much smaller, whoch was a disappointment, but I could see the ocean out of almost every window. The staff did try to accommodate me with a different room, since the room was so much smaller than the one I had last visit, but that particular layout/size wasn't available. He definitely, graciously went above and beyond to try to meet my expectations of my previous visit, and was very friendly! I will definitely stay here again and enjoyed my stay both times!

Absolutely beautiful. Have never had a better hotel experience. A place that does things with excellence... and it shows whether in the genuine smile and care you get at their reception desk, the cleanliness and detailed intention they put in the setup and maintenance of the rooms, or the quick, friendly and effective customer service maintained throughout a stay. 100% recommend. Do it. I know we will be back. Without a doubt.

I've been vacationing in Cape May for 20+ years and this was my first time staying at the Sandpiper. It couldn't have been better - the room was beautiful, clean and spacious with a fabulous view. I love the added touch of Beach Plum Farm products that they provide their guests. It's also the perfect location - walking distance to the outdoor mall, Congress Hall and restaurants and bars on Beach Drive. I would definitely stay here again!

This as the best night of sleep we've had in months. The linens and mattress were top notch. The decors a smidge dated, but the rooms is amazing where it counts - bed, cleanliness, and amenities.

This hotel is a perfect location w/ proximity to the beach, shopping & restaurants. When we first checked in we were put into Room 207 which is listed as "Town View" but you are basically looking at a parking lot. I asked to upgrade to a nicer room which was available and cost me an additional $110 more. We were moved to Room 201 Ocean View. I asked to be moved to the 3rd floor because those units actually feel bigger because of the high ceilings however we were told that none were available. (Our entire stay, just about every 3rd floor unit parking spot was empty and the units were dark). I'm not sure why she was holding out and didn't just put us on the 3rd floor since there were open rooms and I was willing to pay for it. So we were moved to Room 201 which was nice but not spectacular for $399 a night. It rained our entire stay and since we visited during CoVid, only outside dining was allowed. Since I had 2 kids with me it was too damp, windy, cold & rainy to sit outside and eat so we decided to cook in. Many people choose not to cook on vacation but we had no other choice since it was 60 degrees out, damp and raining. The kitchen had the bare essentials. The pots & pans are old and the silverware was dirty so I had to wash everything before I used it. Weather is always unpredictable so I obviously cannot blame the hotel that we were stuck in for 3 days but at least equip the kitchen with items that a family would need should they need to cook. The pool was closed which was not disclosed to me until I arrived for check in. We didn't have any interaction with the staff but they seemed nice as I passed them in the hallways. My overall review is that $1800 for a 3 day stay was a complete waste of money. Cape May is way overpriced. I choose this hotel because it was recommended by a friend. I feel it is way over priced and will not be returning.

We had the best time staying at The Sandpiper! The staff was so accommodating and the room itself was gorgeous. I felt so comfortable staying here especially knowing the extra steps the staff takes to thoroughly clean the rooms. We loved having an ocean view room while still being able to walk to the main square in town. I highly recommend staying at The Sandpiper. You will not be disappointed!

Rooms are very well maintained and kitchens well equipped with everything you need. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and even remembered my travel companion from an earlier stay over 5 months ago. Impressive in any situation, but especially considering everyone has been wearing masks.

My husband and I just returned home from a one night getaway at The Sandpiper. We absolutely loved the property. It was immaculate, comfortable, and perfect for the two of us. We loved the front porch, and the full kitchen. Our only complaint is that the blinds on the bedroom windows did not block the outside light. The outside entrance light, which was right outside the bedroom window made it hard to fall asleep at night, and the bright sun had us awake much too early in the morning. This is our favorite Cape resort property in Cape May, and we would love to stay again. However, we will think twice about doing so, since sleeping at the property was difficult. Room darkening curtains or blinds in the bedroom would have made our stay more enjoyable.
