The Mahalo is a great choice of a place to stay in Cape May. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were really good. The heated pool was perfect for my 6 year old and 10 year old with the max height being 4 ft, and the lowest being 1 foot for little ones. They also have bikes you can use for adults, and the icona shuttle is available to take you into town. That was very nice not to have to think about finding parking over there!I would say the only small con I ran into was due to the room we were in. We had the king ocean view room which is above the lobby and below the roof top deck. The view was perfection. The windows let in the ocean breeze. The con? The lobby music is heard throughout the day, so if you like a quiet nap or have a napping baby, you may want a different room. The music is off by 9 pm though. Also, the noise from the rooftop deck above wasn t terrible, but you could hear it when there were kids running around up there. Just something to know if you re in that particular room and I guess something to expect when there s kids around!Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

My family and I had an exceptional experience at Mahalo! The staff's warm and attentive service truly made my visit memorable. The proximity to the beach added to the overall charm of the place. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would definitely recommend Mahalo to anyone looking for a delightful experience near the beach. Five stars well deserved!

We stayed at the Capri for about 10 years, moving from suite to suite and finally the Townhouse 2 at the back which was great when we had 7 relatives with us. Cheery front desk clerks - loved Pam. They had a huge stock pot you could borrow for making Cioppino or a larger dish if you didn't BBQ. If you used the grills you had to GUARD them as seagulls would land on a hot burger and eat the middle out of it as you reached for a bun! The pool was great after the 5pm whistles blew and the beaches cleared. Then Covid hit, and all changed. Our Elders are dead. The townhouse is too large (and now too pricey). We've booked a suite with kitchen in the Capri's new incarnation as the Mahalo and hope to enjoy our stay, even without those who have gone on.Nearby activities: Beach is VERY close. Across the street. A must with the Elders!Walkability: My Mom was in her 90's and still made it into town by foot!

Beautiful place, great location, newly renovated. Walkable to resturants and bars. Weather was bad but still had a nice time.

I'm not sure if all rooms are like the one I stayed in, Room 213? It was a nice size suite with 2 updated bathroom & nice size efficiency kitchen. However this place could easily get 5 stars if they replaced or even deep cleaned the carpeting. It was disgusting & no outlet in baths to blow dry or iron your hair. The 1st night there were no coffee cups in the room. Had to ask for them for the second day. The couches & chairs need to be replaced as well. They looked dirty & dingy. The lighting was not the best. Overall, these things gave the room a dirty, old & dingy appearance.

We love the Capri Motel! We stay there every time we go to Cape May on vacation. It is family owned. It is very clean & they have a really nice outdoor pool that we love because my family does not like to go to the beach. The only downside for us is that the pool only has 4 tables with umbrellas, so sometimes it is difficult to get a table if you don't want to be in the sun the entire time. We have a special needs daughter who gets sunburned very easily, so this is an issue for us. Some families even left some of their belongings at 3 out of the 4 tables one night to hold the same table for the next day when the pool opens which isn't right. It's not like they pay extra to reserve a table with an umbrella with their stay. So, of course I grabbed the last table for my daughter to sit at so she wouldn't burn again. I would have been happy to share the table with someone else if they asked, but no one did. The motel is located on a corner directly across from the beach. They have really good complimentary popcorn in the office that you can eat as much as you want to. Other than the pool situation it's a very nice place to stay.

This place is retro and we love it! We have been staying in Cape May every year for the last 9 years and always stay here! The price is a bit higher but look at the local it is the best! We love Capri and would always choose this place. The rooms are clean and it has been said they are "dated" but that is was makes it so cool, reminds me of the beach when I was a child and when going to the beach wasn't all about bars and drinking. One of my favorite places by far...

We've been coming here for years. I researched the beach front hotels years ago and found the Capri to be the best value. Great location, clean up to date rooms, and an excellent price. I have checked through the years and still no one comes close to the Capri. Already looking forward to next year.

Had to make last minute change in travel plans and ended up with a King suite. What a treat, more like a one bedroom apartment. Plenty of space, well maintained. Nice pool, right across the street from ocean beach. Family friendly, shuffle board, ping pong, gas grills. Helpful staff, covid protocol adhering. Easy walk to other hotels and restaurants.

Maybe there is some other Capri motel that people are writing positive reviews about. The Capri we've been to was dated, the room and the elevator smelled horrible. I felt like in a dungeon with extremely old furniture. The tv was very small and outdated. The motel looks good on the outside, old smelly carpet inside. Also, $20/day for beach chairs just an fyi. Good parking and location.

Office folks were great! We got a suite this time. It's working wonderful for our needs. It has window air conditioners, and 2 full bathrooms. Best price for any hotel/motel right on Beach Dr. It is very near the convention center. 5 minute walk. We have stayed here twice now, and will come back.

We rented a room at the Capri this past wknd, and we are so in love with this place! Extremly clean, beautiful location, beach right across street, not far from shops, easy to walk to, but I found it so quaint, clean. Friendly! We absolutely had an amazing time! Def want to rent their town houses when we go. Back. I think The Capri is one of my favorite places to stay there!!! 5 star for us! Thank you Capri. You guys were awesome! Great place to stay

We stayed in a first floor room with a kitchenette for a few days in September 2018. The room was very clean, serviceable, and well priced. Wif-fi and one parking spot was include with the room. The pool was open during our stay and was in great condition, but not heated. The staff was courteous and extremely responsive to any requests that we had. The hotel is directly across from the beach, which was convenient. Only downside was that it was about a 1/2 mile walk to Washington Mall area. We would stay here in the future.

I loved the location of the property. I was close to the beach, within walking distance to everything else. I loved the cleanliness of the property. I also loved the amenities. I appreciated the availability of bikes to ride, the beach chairs, the shuttle and so much more. Although I was not traveling with family, I appreciate the family atmosphere as well. And, the staff was exceptional, especially JoJo and Tammy. They were friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. They explained everything about the Mahalo in detail and offered great suggestions for activities and eateries.

Great view of the ocean! Especially from the balcony benches. We were able to book at the last minute, which was awesome. Free grills, k-cup coffee in our room (went to the office for a handful more! Lol!), decent kitchenette, plugs in each of the lamps, space saving alarm clock, (room for my cpap) quiet all night, very nice restaurant next door, with its own liquor store built in it, walking distance from the outdoor mall, and lots more... Did I mention that the beach is right across the street? We WILL be coming back to here.

We stay for a week every September. We love it. Clean, friendly. Of course it isn't perfect however through the years many renovations have been made. Our only issue is the conflicting info we get when trying to schedule for the next year. But I believe this has been worked out as well. I have 2 gripes. No smoking in rooms but ok on balconies etc so smoke can come into the room and hard to enjoy your balcony if breathing smoke. And the roof over the C room is also a very pretty roof top porch. However people drag furniture all over that roof and at all hours of the night. That can be annoying. But.... We wouldn't stay anywhere else in september

We've stayed a bunch of times. Great suites for families (2 adult 2 kids, plenty of room). In-room kitchenette to save money on food, plus free grills outside (the front desk has equipment). Decent sized pool but I wish the hours went until 8 p.m., also a ping pong table and shuffleboard, and picnic tables. Right across from the beach. Trolly stop in front. Across the street from Harry's Restaurant and liquor store. Walking distance from downtown Cape May. Parking available for guests. Very flexible with check-in and check-out. Great option for families in vacation in Cape May.

Old hotel, pool hours and amenities are between very limited hours. Pool hours are 10:30am until 6pm and with checkout being at 11:00 am you have no opportunity to swim or use any other of the outside amenities. We paid &1,000 for the weekend and couldn t swim the day we left. Other places to stay are a 1 mile away and closer to Main Street and things to do, I ll try them next as Cape May is a nice place. They do give you beach amenities but not the one across from them you have to walk blocks, and even then you still have to pay the $6 per person. Every day I was woke up at 6:30 am thinking someone left the lights on but after getting up I realized the windows under the AC which are frosted let the light right in and woke everyone up. Do not stay here all they care about is money and we staying in a suite and we re not happy

A lot of things didn t work: No WIFI, ice maker in room broken, both vanity electrical outlets didn t work, phone message light kept blinking and couldn t be erased, dishwasher knob fell off, Hair dryer is dangerous-on/off button broke, elevator had a bad smell. The Capri needs updated for sure. The office staff was friendly.

Very nice hotel for the price. Our friends were staying in the Grand Hotel of Cape May and the Capri was significantly better, despite being cheaper. Much cleaner, quieter and better maintained.
