I just came home today from a 5 night stay at Beauclaires. I can't say enough wonderful things about this spot. The beautiful Victorian House, filled with Antiques and amazing Breakfast served Family Style every morning. What a pleasure to get to know the other guests, and Joanne, the owner and preparer of all the delicious meals. Less than a full block from the Ocean, I could see it from my room. I was there for many of mother natures treats over the last week, A little rain, an earthquake, the eclipse. Each one a fabulous experience in it's own right. We had a treat of fresh baked Chocolate Chip Pistachio Cookies last night, yum! I look forward to visiting again in the future.Rooms: Quaint but not stuffy. It was okay to sit on the furniture. Lovely decor.Nearby activities: The Beach, Shopping, Restaurants, Boat Excursions, Bike Rentals.Safety: I felt very safe while I was there.Walkability: It was an easy walk to the beach or Washington Street.Food & drinks: The Breakfasts at Beauclarie's were amazing. It was also located walking distance from anything in town.Noteworthy details: I felt welcome from the first moment, and safe. It was just a very easy going vibe.

I have been going to Cape May for over 15 years. Have always stayed at other places. Beau Claire does not disappoint. The owner and staff very hospitable and warm. My family came and we all took rooms there. The breakfast was amazing and a great start to our day. The location is perfect plus they have parking on the premises.Joanne the owner could not have been more caring and charming and delightful. I felt like we were all visiting a family member. I highly recommend Beau Claire.Walkability: The beach is a half a block away. Washing Mall is 2 blocks away. Perfect location.

We just came back from staying 2 nights at Beauclaire s in Cape May. It was our first experience with staying in a B&B. Overall, it was a nice experience with delicious breakfast and warmhospitality. The B&B offered parking too which was a plus.Walkability: Across the street from beach area and short walk to pedestrian mall.

Our original plan - subsequently changed by high winds and bad weather - was to stay here for 2 nights and take a "pelagic" boat tour nearby to look for birds and other wildlife. But the Beauclaires was a great place to stay anyway. The parking lot is a little small and "one way only" but that is minor. The breakfast was excellent! We enjoyed conversing with our fellow travelers.Walkability: A block from the Atlantic Ocean and a couple blocks from a nice Cape May "outdoor mall" with plenty of interesting shops.

Amazing location- a short walk in either direction to the boardwalk/shore and Washington St. Mall. Hospitality is first rate. Price for rooms and food is very reasonable! Food was delicious. The hotel is super clean and cozy. So many wonderful amenities. Beautiful views. Fireplace, jetted tub, porch swings, keurig snacks, brandy decanters! What more could you want! Highly recommend you make this your stay! Thanks for an amazing mini-moon Joe!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Beauclaires. We were very comfortable in our room and loved being so close to the beach and all the restaurants and shops around town. Joe is a great host and the breakfast he prepared each morning was delicious and on par with the many breakfast spots around the town. The beach badges and beach chairs provided were a nice amenity. We would highly recommend staying here and hope to return one day.

We had the most fabulous stay here. The room was so nice with a comfy bed and all the amenities you needed. The breakfast was delicious and served by the nicest man in Jersey, Joe. The house itself is beautiful with stunning architecture and really well taken care of for how old it is. Also it's well built so we didn't hear our neighbors at all. It's also basically across the street from the beach and has parking so you can just grab your stuff from your car and go or walk to the Washington Mall. Overall we had the most perfect time and hope we can come back very soon.Nearby activities: Beach and the Washington MallSafety: I felt incredibly safe and well taken care ofWalkability: Walkable to the b each, coffee shops, restaurants and the Washington Mall. Great locationFood & drinks: Joe serves complimentry breakfast and afternoon tea. We had breakfast and it was one of the best meals we had on vacation

Great location for a honeymoon! We found Beauclaire's when perusing Cape May on Google Maps and saw they had availability the week of March we were looking at. My now-husband reached out to Joe and set up our Wednesday-Saturday stay. The week beforehand, Joe connected with FAQ, information to know regarding our upcoming stay, and to confirm our wine and cheese board! Upon arriving, we were able to settle in and immediately start walking around Cape May. While it was March, most stores had limited hours, but we still had plenty to do: lighthouse sunset, winery tastings, shopping, walks along the beach, the Aviation museum, etc. The best part about Beauclaires is the people we met. Joan prepared breakfast, a 9am event, and would share tidbits of things to do in the area. We sat in the dining room while eating and got to meet another couple who we connected instantly with and ran into multiple times throughout the next few days.Takeaways - it is an old Victorian house, so all guest rooms are upstairs, the heating and AC works well but there is baseboard heating so you may hear a few knocks/noises if the heat is on (not an issue if you re there in the summer!). The parking is a huge perk as (almost) everything is within walking distance to Beauclaires.Look forward to visiting Cape May again, and will probably stick to the off-season to avoid the crowds! Thank you Joe and Joan!

My husband and I did a mini-vacation to Cape May for our 44th wedding anniversary and stayed at Beauclaire's Bed & Breakfast Inn. The house and furnishings are beautiful! I especially loved the old woodwork! Breakfast was delicious. The first course was a plate of fresh mixed fruit. Second course was a crustless quiche and a chocolate chip muffin. And they serve great coffee! Our only complaint was that the bed was too hard. Both of us woke up multiple times during the night trying to get comfortable.

Recent lovely two night stay for a brief mother/ daughter getaway. Beauclaires B&B exceeded our expectations on all fronts. The Innkeeper Joe is man in constant motion attending to his guests' needs and cooking up delicious hearty breakfasts every morning. Sunsets from the lemonade porch were outstanding; not to be missed. Location, off-street parking and room comfort and cleanliness were exceptional. This is an Inn with a family feel and a big, warm heart. One of our best B&B experiences in Cape May over the past several years. We will return with other family members in the near future.

This was a wonderful get away! The house was charming, clean, and the location was central to everything we wanted to do. There was so much to see and do but a quiet evening with a bottle of wine on the porch swing shouldn't be missed either! Our breakfast was absolutely delicious and presented beautifully. There was the perfect balance of feeling welcomed and cared for while still allowing for privacy. Such a nice time...we can't wait to go back!

We had a wonderful time at Beauclaire's B&B!The central location could not be beat, as we parked our car (SO nice to have on site parking) and enjoyed the great weather walking all over Cape May. The room was cute and clean, and the building is charming - I only wish there was a sign up sheet for time on the porch swing, since it was ALWAYS in use. We plan on making Cape May a regular vacation destination and we would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Beauclaires in September 2022 and had such a good time we decided to come back in December for a few days to enjoy a relaxing stay at the inn and see a Victorian Christmas. Innkeepers, Joe and Joann were delightful and breakfast was delicious. Their cordial hospitality is wonderful and you re treated like family. We already booked for September 2023.

We stayed in Ryan's Chambers for five nights and loved our stay! The room was clean and bathroom updated with a spacious shower. The bed was comfortable and extra pillows and blankets were available. We enjoyed each of Joanne's breakfasts each day, which always included fresh fruit and a freshly made hot main dish. The location is the best feature of Beauclaires - two houses from the promenade/ocean, and only two blocks from Washington St mall and all it has to offer. Given the chance to stay here again we absolutely would, and would recommend it to anyone. Our only cons were the lower ceiling on the 3rd floor, which was manageable after getting used to, and inconsistent Wifi speeds. But if you're in Cape May, you're not here for the Wifi, you're here for the beach, charm, and relaxing, and that's what you get by staying here!

The Beauclaire B & B was more than we even expected. It is beautiful, was wonderfully decorated for Christmas, and the person that was Innkeeper for the owners was fantastic! We were looking forward to meeting the owners from all of the good things we have heard about them, however, Cyndee was so warm and friendly and we felt right at home. If she heard us in the living room enjoying the house in the evenings she would come out to check on us and would answer any questions we had about restaurants and things to do. By the time we left after a wonderful stay it was like leaving home and new family. We will be staying again this Christmas! Oh, and the location was fantastic! We have stayed at a few other B & B's in Cape May and the Beauclaire is now our favorite!
