After recently moving down to CMCH after 35+ years of coming to the beach here, it s tough finding a good local mechanic you can trust. Beth and the generation Whalen owner and team are amazing. They are kind, honest, responsive and you just get a great feeling when you drop off or pick up your vehicle. My father has used them and I have used them several times in the past couple years and they always deliver. Thank you, all!

My family and I have been taking our cars to Whalen's for many years and they are the best. You can count on them for excellent service. It s a business run in the right way, and they have many loyal and happy customers as a result.

I received fantastic service from the Whalen's team. Quick, honest communication, they were able to get my truck fixed and reinspected quickly. They are also very friendly (thank you Beth!). Overall a great place that you should feel comfortable taking your vehicle to.

I was so pleased with the service Beth offered me at Whalens. I needed a new air compressor and serpentine belt. She diagnosed quickly and fairly. It was way more reasonable for parts and service then it would have been anywhere else.They were efficient also. I had my car back in 1 day. To top it off, everyone was very friendly. I would recommend this place over any others in the area!

Had some minor issues when traveling to the shore for a long weekend, called Thursday afternoon and quickly got me in Friday morning to diagnose and fix before close of day. So appreciative of the quick, honest, and fair service! Beth was fantastic to work with and answered all my questions! Whalen's provides excellent service. They squeeze me in when I need them, text and print detailed invoices, do what they tell me they're going to, and make an effort to walk the line between value & quality.Most notable is Beth. She's a rock star! I don't know how she remembered me after one visit, but she always makes me feel welcome in the shop.The shop is clean and easy to access. My car is in good hands when I take it to Whalen's.

Very positive experience at Whalen s. Needed a tire repair. No waiting. They pulled the car right in. Tire was fixed within 10 minutes. Beth was very pleasant to deal with. Highly recommend this business.

Took my 2005 Ford Focus here for an oil change and tire rotation. Received a text about an hour later explaining their inspection results. The level of detail was incredible! Turns out that 3 of my 4 tires had very low tread. Beth provided several options for our consideration. I decided not to replace them yet but the heads-up was most appreciated. Excellent and honest service from Beth and the team!

Amazing what they do willing to help willing to fix your car without having to give you an explanation we drove from Arkansas to Cape May's to see my daughter-in-law graduate military he helped us out did a great job would totally recommend them anytime wish we had somebody close like that in our town great people

No better auto repair shop in NJ. We have taken our car and truck to this shop for years and have always been treated with the utmost of professionalism by every employee. Brought my new tires to be put on rims here. Price was $25 for 1 tire which I think is great. Done in 10 minutes. The woman Beth at the counter is very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Took my son s CRV for oil change and tire rotation. Received a detailed report of their inspection quite promptly with pics! Beth is super helpful and patient. We are so happy to find a trust worthy full service place at our home away from home!

I definitely recommend Whalen s to anyone looking for new tires. This is my first time as a customer here and Beth at the front counter was immensely patient, helpful and knowledgeable in helping me with all my questions and setting up my appointment. When I arrived, I asked if I could make a follow-up appointment as I realized on my way over that I also needed new windshield wipers. She said We can do that for you today! That was awesome. I was in and out in about an hour. She also emailed my car report to me. I love this place! They may cost just a little bit more than area chain stores but the exemplary customer service was worth it to me. I could tell that they genuinely want to satisfy their customers and appreciated my business.

I am a new customer at Whelan's, having been referred here by a good, longtime friend. The first time I was at Whelan's they had a mechanic sign back in, I got there late in the work day, to assess my problem. I set an appointment for the work he found that was needed, new tires. They provided me with an estimate for the work needed, and then, in my case, performed the work slightly under the estimated cost. As a part of their service they provided me with a many pointed assessment of my vehicle. I had asked them to replace all filters, but before they did, and after they found only 2 needed to be replaced, not all. They notified me of the need and asked if I wanted them to be changed, which I did. They also pointed out 2 repairs, front and rear breaks, which I had suspected needed to be done. They sent me an estimate, suggesting one, the rear, should be done very soon, and the other, the front breaks, should be assessed in the fall. I am having all the work done very soon. I dealt with a very professional, honest garage before I moved here. I feel I have found a professional, honest garage again. The employees I have dealt with at Whelan's have been very friendly, helpful, and professional, and have handled the work on my car very effectively.

I had noticed a vibration on my Jeep Wrangler and was pretty sure my tires just needed to be balanced. I called and Beth was able to get me in the next day. When I got there they took my Jeep out for a ride and then balanced the tires.While I was there the owner, I believe, checked out a few other things and brought them to my attention as possibly needing repair or eventual replacement. He also noticed the bleeder on my caliper leaking. They tried to see if they could replace the bleeder but it kept leaking so they recommended a new caliper. Since the part was still under warranty from when I replaced them, I opted to do the repair myself but I am glad he caught that.The vibration is almost gone (it's partially a Jeep thing so kinda normal) so now driving is much nicer, and quieter.As a woman who is very handy and somewhat mechanically inclined, I truly appreciated not being talked down to about my vehicle.Service: Tires

They were extremely helpful and accommodating!! Hit a curb and did some damage to the sidewall of my tire while vacationing in Avalon. I have a full size spare with my vehicle but was questioning the integrity of the spare tire. They took the tire and replaced the valve stem for me in a hurry insuring a safe 500 mile drive home. Dana was extremely friendly and helpful!! Would 100% recommend this place!!

So far work has been great and the staff is very helpful. Like VERY helpful. Appreciate what y'all do, will be back.My van was stalling out at red lights, chugging along, didn't have back breaks, was pretty much a death trap ( ) and in a single days work, they made it sound and run a million times better and I'm going back for one last thing till I figure out whatever else I'd like done.I was completely satisfied with the outcome

Whalens came through a recommendation from our rental company while we were visiting the area from out of town. They were able to have the car back to me before the quoted time. They were kind and patient and walked me through the issues. I called Whalen's as I had a car problem while on vacation... Beth, the woman who runs the front desk was super helpful and told me to come in and it was super busy, she made time for me. I thought I was going to need brakes, I didn't and they were very honest! I only needed a small part that came off my near my breaks that was making a terrible noise. Their mechanic found this in about 10 minutes, checked my brakes and had me out of there in less than an hour! Honest, quick, clean & extremely nice. I wish they were closer to me in Bucks County.. would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this business! Thank you so much!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

Brought my vehicle in for a tire plug only $15! The staff was very courteous especially the woman up front. She was so nice and went out of her way to accommodate my 2yr old. Highly recommended.

While on Vacation in Wildwood Crest, we had an urgent issue with our vehicle of which needed to be repaired in order to continue with our Vacation. The Repair Garages in the Wildwoods said that they were too busy to even look at the problem. We Googled other options and Whalen's came up with excellent reviews. I called them. They told me to bring in my vehicle and that they would take a look at the problem. They were very busy but looked at my vehicle as soon as I arrived. The problem was such that they were able to immediately make the repair. I am extremely grateful to them for getting us back on track with the rest of our Vacation. If we lived in this area, Whalen's would most definitely be our Go-To for Auto repair. I highly recommend them. Whalen's Auto Repair is awesome. I was in Avalon for a wedding over the weekend and my car died. The owner, Ed, was extremely friendly and helpful. They diagnosed that my starter had gone bad. They ordered the part and had me back on the road in no time. Beth, their service advisor, kept me informed of the progress on my car throughout, and Phil, their lead technician, did a complete and thorough job installing the new starter. I'm from out of town, but I can say with great confidence that if you live in the local community, you have a reliable, trusted business where you will always be treated right.

Very rude and unprofessional , blamed their poor service on the busy summer by the shore. Told me to go to another shop in a different township which she did not provide the spelling of shop nor the address for the shop. The woman then tried to explain that She doesn t have time to wait on the phone with a warranty company. This was a horrible experience and I would not refer anyone to use this shop at all.

On ourway from PA to wildwood, to see a concert, the jeep I was driving picked up a bad vibration. We searched for a local garage near us, and found them online and stopped to have it checked out. With no appointment we figured we'd just stop in. Upon arrival they had a tech take the vehicle for a road trip to try to diagnose the problem. The tech returned and found the left rear wheel had become loose. They ordered new lug nutsfor us, changed the wheel with the spare tire. They checked and torqued the other 3 wheels. What a great group of people. Can't thank them enough for saving our trip and quite possibly our lives. Forever thankful to them.
