My auto body shop recommended Joe as a great place to go for rust mitigation and repair. I had my 2008 Ram 1500 truck bed restored to new condition including a full undercoating.Joe didn t cut out the rot and use bondo for a short term fix. He replaced the defective panels.He is a true craftsman!!! The truck bed literally looks brand new and I ll keep my truck another 10 years +. He s honest, his pricing is more than fair and he s a great guy.In addition, Joe has replaced my suspension components, tweaked the front end, replaced my defective gas tank and repainted part of my truck cap.I pulled up to drop off a replacement gas tank for the Ram in my new Mazda CX90. The only criticism I have is that Joe referred to it as a minivan!! It s an SUV Joe :-)WOW!!! If everyone took this much pride in their work!!

Joe is the best. Have a WRX that developed a rot hole in the rear quarter panel. It was all cut out and new sheet metal was welded in. Joe kept updating me with photos as he progressed. Very pleased customer here.

I brought my Jeep in for undercoating. Joe did a fantastic job. I waited as it was getting done and it didn t take long at all. I m so glad I found him. I called seven other shops inquiring about the work and the prices and Outlawed Specialties is the best place when it comes to service and affordability hands down. Thanks so much Joe. I had Joe work on my truck about 6 months ago, and I wanted to wait to give a true tested review. From my first initial contact with Joe it was nothing short of great. My truck was in horrible shape before Joe worked on it, and when I first reached out to him he even gave some advice to repair some of my needed issues myself instead of trying to sell me. He was accommodating and was able to offer me a multitude of services to repair and fix multiple issues with my truck. He also did the undercoating on my truck and even cut out a bad area in my frame and repaired it (which he not only called me about and also emailed me with pictures but also showed me the piece he cut out and the spot he cut out and where on my frame the repair was located when I picked it up). About a week ago, my mechanic had to make a small repair to my exhaust and when I picked up my truck he commented on how good of a job the undercoating was put on and what a difference it was from before the undercoating and how much different (in a good way) my truck looks now. Not too many places like Joe's shop around and I'm glad I was able to connect with him. I will be seeing him again in few months with my other truck !

Joey went above & beyond on my truck and I m so thankful for all his hard work. The paint job came out beautiful and with his help, we were able to get the truck running and out the door. He s done smaller jobs on my other vehicles as well and he s now the only one I trust to work on my stuff. Joe was great to work with. Very understanding and accomodating with drop off and pick up. I had the tub of my jeep lined and undercoated. He kept me updated with pictures throughout the whole process. Great, quality work at a fair price. I highly recommend Joe and Outlawed Specialties.

Joe did an amazing job clearing out old rust and reviving my FJ Cruiser s undercarriage. He reinforced my chassis and the work looks amazing. You can tell he truly cares about the quality of service he provides. I am also very impressed by the wealth of knowledge Joe has about trucks and cars. Absolutely amazing experience from beginning to end.I am now a lifelong customer of Outlawed Specialties. 10 out of 10!

Joe did an amazing job applying NHOU (New Hampshire Oil Undercoating) on my 4Runner today. I ve had it done b4 elsewhere, but Joe did an amazing job. I ve wrenched and restored cars so it was a pleasure to see Joe meticulously spray every crevice on the frame and suspension. Best place for undercoating in NJ. I had a pleasure of meeting Joe and getting my Mini Cooper undercoated at his shop for the first time this year. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with from my initial phone call to appointment scheduling and getting my car undercoated. Joe is down to earth, patient and prompt when it comes to returning calls or scheduling work. When I arrived at his shop, he took the time to look over my Mini s undercarriage with me, explained the process and patiently answered my questions. I am very happy with the quality of his work and will definitely return next year and for all customized work I will need to get done in the future.Thank you so much!

I had Joe install a new suspension and rustproof my 2013 Toyota Tacoma and am very happy with the result! Joe was honest and upfront throughout the process and the costs were very reasonable! I will be bringing the truck there again for more workin the future!

I called Outlawed Specialties to ask about their undercoating service. Joe was very friendly and waked me through the entire process. When I brought the truck over Joe was just as friendly as he was on the phone. He did an excellent job and his commitment to provide amazing service is easy to see. Brought my new to me 2020 Jeep Wrangler in for an undercoating service. It was my first time getting this type of service and my fist time at Joe s shop. He was extremely friendly and I could tell immediately that he had a desire to provide me with top notch service - I assure you he did just that! While this was my first visit to Outlawed Specialties it will certainly not be my last. It feels good to have made the investment to protect my vehicle and even better knowing it was done the right way. Thanks again, Joe!

Truck looks new after the body work. Have used Outlaw Specialties a few times for body work and under coating and am never disappointed. He has always been honest and the last repair came in cheaper than the original quote because it required less work. I would have never known, the honesty will keep me going back

Awesome work! Had my new Silverado undercoated with Boss wax coat and the Honey coat. Joe does fantastic work, very detail oriented. Every nook and cranny of that truck s underside got protected. I ll definitely be back for some other services he offers. Highly recommend Outlawed Specialties!

Just Had my 2019 Ram 1500 Undercoated again with NH oil undercoating. The first time was fantastic. I also just hand it done on a new to me 2010 Nissan Xterra. The undercoating product is great but Joe's attention to detail is what makes Outlawed Specialties one of my favorite shops of all time.

EDIT: I took the vehicle in for an oil change at the Clinton, nj dealership. They said he went the extra mile. They wanted to know who did it - hopefully he gets more business!Had an undercoating. Great coverage! Great price. Would definitely recommend.

See all those other 5 stars and reviews? Speaks volumes of Joe, and this one is no different. Came to have my Tacoma oil undercoated, and left very pleased. Joe is meticulous, knowledgeable, friendly and fair. Really takes the time and cares. Plus Luna (his dog) is an added bonus. Definitely will be returning for future sprays and projects. I worked with Joe to restore the frame on a 2004 GX 470. Joe fixed all rust on the frame, added a lift kit, sent the car for alignment and applied an undercoating of OIL. On top of that I requested to have the bumper repaired which had license plate holes and previous damage. The SUV is 20 years old but looks like it rolled off the assembly line. A lot of repair shops in NJ aren't interested in tackling such tedious projects because of the time and attention. Joe enjoys the challenges, he's honest with his timelines, prices and customer service. Along the project, Joe would update with pictures, e-mails and phone calls. In a fast paced world that wants quick access to everything and delivers subpar quality, Joe is a throwback. He gets his hands dirty, delivers on time and takes on unique projects, he is the embodiment of what it means to be an "Outlawed Specialist" Highly Recommend.

If I could give Joe 10 stars, I would. He did an absolutely spectacular job repainting a very expensive car and it looks brand new. He fixed every little scratch, dent and painted the hood, trunk and top of car. He matched the paint perfectly! Joe called every step of the way. If he found a scratch or tiny dent that I missed, he called to let me know and took photos. He had an interior panel reupholstered by another company and they did a fantastic job as well. When the car was ready for pickup, it was spotlessly cleaned inside and waxed and buffed outside. His price was super reasonable. You won t find a better body man or nicer person than Joe. So professional. He is absolutely the BEST in the business. (And he has the sweetest, cutest dog!)Services: Auto body & trim repair, Painting

Great guy's very informal ,had my 2021 GMC 2500 HD Denali done with New Hampshire oil Joe covered everything very particular in his work. after the job was done I had to go to the bank and pick up money Very trustworthy guy. Will definitely be back

After seeing frame rust lead to the untimely demise of my LX470 I was determined not to let my newly purchased GX460 sufferthe same fate.While certainly not the cheapest option, NH oil/Bosswax undercoating seems to offer the best protection and is guaranteed with bi annual checkups. I spoke to Joe at Outlawed Specialties and he patiently explained the process to me.The application is a 2 day process and involved removing the cars running boards, spare tire and engine guards and masking off the exhaust/etc. The frame is treated inside and out and the inside of the body panels are also wax treated.I was really impressed with the care and effort that Joe put into his work and couldn't be happier with the way the underside of the truck looked after he was finished.Time will tell, but I'm pretty confident that this will help the vehicle to survive northeastern winters.

I don't normally write reviews but I'm doing this because Joe deserves a shoutout. I just had Joe did the NH Boss Wax & Oil on my new Lexus GX. He did a thorough and meticulous job on the truck. When it comes to undercoating, it is a fine line between over- and under-spraying and he hit a sweet spot. Joe let me look underneath after he finished and what a fantastic job he did on my vehicle. His experience in rust repair really shines through. I just had Joe NH oil coat my Toyota FJ . He did a great job applying a nice heavy coating everywhere... Quick work and great conversation. My frame looks great now! Joe is a nice guy, very easy to work with and his dog is friendly too. Highly recommend his NH oil treatment if you want to save your chassis from rusting away from the northeast salt and brine.
