Horrible, rude snooty stuck up privileged girl working the front desk!!! do not bring your vehicle here or you will have to deal with her and her attitude!!! I brought my car in to have a small brake line leak looked at and that s when I encountered the Heifer that out of nowhere Snapped at me I am not going to tell you again Bish Please!!! Zero STAR !!!!!!

RED ALERT!!! RUN!! DON'T WALK!! THIS IS THE WORSE PLACE EVER!! THEY ARE RIPPING OFF HARD WORKING AMERICANS!!! I REPORTED THEM TO BBB & SO SHOULD YOU!! IT WAS SO BAD I HAD TO CALL THE POLICE!! I WENT IN FOR A TRAMISSION PROBLEM BUT WAS TOLD I NEEDED MOTOR MOUNTS! I PAID THE ALMOST $800 && HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WHEN I PULLED OFF!! I WENT RIGHT BACK!! I WAS CUSSED OUT BY THE MECHANIC! NIKKI OFFICE MANAGER RAN OFF SOMEWHERE!! THE OWNER WAS LITTLE TO NO HELP!! AFTER 5 DAYS& CALLING MY CREDIT CARD I GOT MY MONEY BACK!! They don't use certified mechanics!! The mechanics CUSSED me out && threatened me!!!! It was an awful experience for anyone to go through!! They will reply to this post of course && hide it like the others!! But I beg you to do your RESEARCH!!! RUN!!!!!

This is by far the best service shop in the area. The customer service and the mechanics are 1st class. Very transparent and fair. They get you in and out. This auto repair shop is awesome. They have always been honest and have fixed my car in the time that was promised. I'm so glad that I live right around the corner from them!

Paul and the staff are just absolutely wonderful! I will never go to any other place! They are straight forward about car condition and prices. They will even show me exactly what is wrong! The wait time is reasonable especially when you just show up at their door with a BIG problem. Paul even offered to take me home if the wait was too long. He is so trusted that my teenage daughter went to him first, when she crashed her car! He gave her the choices to repair and encouraged her to tell me!I have referred at least 4 of my friends to his business and they all were completely satisfied with the work completed. I love going there because they talk to you and treat you like family!Michele Miller

Friendly staff rates are reasonable. You are greeted by Amanda what is knowledable with auto issues.Don't need appointment. First come first served. Attached is current price list posted on wall.

I have been a customer for at least 8 years or better. I would never go to another Auto Mechanic because Paul and his staff are simply "THE BEST"! In all of my years of driving which have been many I have never met a person who is as kind and considerate to their customers as Mr. Paul. He will never take advantage of you on price and has always worked with me in all of my situations. All of his staff are friendly to me and they go out of their way to assist you in any way that they can. In short you will never, ever see me going to another place for my cars when they need to be repaired! This is My Home and I love it there!!!

I ve probably past this repair shop hundreds of times and never given them any thought. I had an oil change at another place and they had recommended that I needed, practically total brake job in front and rear. The quote was insane. So, I go to Mr. Brake, again on a whim. I was greeted by Amanda, whom was very polite and receptive. Took my information and passed it along to Paul. Paul looked at the quote from the other joint, said out loud, that s very, very expensive and I don t know you even would need all of those things they re recommending. He visually inspected my brakes with a thermoscanner, and yeah, you don t need all of this. Bottom line he thoroughly explained to me what the job entailed, provided me an amazing quote, and the job was done very quickly. The entire shop was super professional, and I was just impressed with their customer service. I ve honestly never had an mechanic provide such a thorough assessment. I will ABSOLUTELY go back there and give them my business in the future.Service: Brakes

I was recommended to Mr. Brakes by a friend. Paul is the owner. He is honest and reasonable. I have a 2000 Jeep and Paul is the only mechanic I will allow to do the repairs and up keep. He will always call you prior to doing the work. My car runs like a charm and it is because I have never had a bad experience at Mr. Brakes. He put an engine in my son's car and I can happily say that Mr. Brakes is our family mechanic. I thank the Lord for someone I can trust.

Went in originally to get my brakes repaired, found out several problems with them (front and back) as well as a control arm problem. The manager or owner (Paul) helped manage to price me on everything that needed fixing within the budget i had. Completely satisfied with everything they did. Still need some other things done but will definitely be coming here for my car troubles now. Customer service was awesome too!

I very rarely write reviews, even when I have a less than desirable experience I chalk it up to life. I would be doing Mr. Brakes and the owner Paul a huge disservice if I didn't sing their praises for everything they have done for me over the years. I am not writing a review about one great experience...it's about a trusted relationship between a mechanic and car owner that's hard to find.I'm a blue collar family man that does not drive brand new cars, so they need work at times. I've had everything from engines replaced to oil changes from his guys. He always gives me a legit estimate and most importantly backs his work. I've had him give me services free of charge when the problem wasn't fixed completely. They go above and beyond...Neil and the guys in the garage are amazing.I understand people usually go to a mechanic when things are wrong with their car, its usually not a planned visit and getting told you have to pay money to get a repair done is never a great thing but knowing that you have the right team behind you takes a load off your mind. They are reasonably priced and are one of the few repair shops left that take the time to do the right thing.Thank You Mr. Brakes for what you have provided for me and my family and look forward to many more years of quality auto maintenance and reapirs.

Love these guys! The boys do quality work. They ve done small things like oil changes and big things like replacing my gas tank and they ve always helped me out and given me a great price. The girls at the desk are also sweet and actually know a thing or two about cars to help you out. Really can t beat them

I went in for an oil change and discovered a bunch of issues under the van they took me back to show me I was of course baffled and Paul helped me get everything straightened out with the guy that sold me my van (I just bought it) and that guy sent me money to make things right. It still isn t right but I m happy with this repair shop and will be doing everything for this van and future vehicles with them. I would recommend them to everyone. Thank you for everything you did for me yesterday. Oh also he called an Uber for my friend so she could get home. Best service I have ever had.

Well I had the same experience with the rude staff. Not the mechanics, the girl at the front desk.I am not from Jersey so I've been trying to find a good honest mechanic for a few months now. I stopped in the Firestone, a few blocks away from Mr. Brakes, and was turned off by them when I was quoted three different prices for the same tires.I pass by this place every morning so decided to call. It was 7:30 but the open sign was on. I don't know the name of the guy that answered the phone but I told him I need to have my brakes looked at and he said they didn't open until 8 but if I wanted to come in real quick right now, it would only take him 5 minutes to do that for me. So I turned around and went back. He was very nice, took my car in, and allowed my dog and I to wait in the lobby since it was 12 degrees outside.Well, other employees started showing up as I was there waiting. The 1st girl that came through the door gave me a dirty look, no good morning or anything! I just continued to wait until I finally had to say something because I had to get back on the road and to work. At 8:05 I asked the mechanic if they were done because I had to go. They put the tires back on my car and pulled it around. I asked how much it was going to cost to have the brakes put on and he told me to go talk to the girl (the snotty one) inside. So I went in, she seen me, went over to the other computer and I thought was going to print me out a quote. Finally, after I stood there for ten minutes, the mechanic came out and asked me if I was late to work, I told him yes I was going to be, and she tells me, "go ahead and leave. I'll call you with the quote, I told you we didn't open until 8." Really? Why did she leave me standing there for10 minutes instead of telling me that in the 1st place?Then guess what? Nobody ever called me with a quote. So I guess I'll have to keep looking for a different mechanic. If anyone knows of a good honest one, I'd appreciate the referral. Thank you.

I am very happy to have found Mr. Brakes, recommended by a friend. I trust Paul which is the highest compliment I can give. Once I had a breakdown out of state. Paul walked me through my best options via cellphone and handled a big repair diligently and cost effectively back home. Definitely recommend.

I just got a fuel pump installed and once again the best service ever. The staff and owner were great! I will be recommending all my friends to get their work done at MR. BRAKES in Blackwood N.J. I all ready have all my family getting thers done there

The staff at Mr. Brakes couldn't be more helpful or knowledgeable. They are the reason my 2001 Dodge Stratus is still on the road - the routine and preventative maintenance they have recommended and performed on my car have kept me from needing something new. I have peace of mind knowing that I'm safe and my car will always get me where I need to go.

Great service and staff!! Always go in for routine work. The girls at the counter are always so welcoming and very knowledgeable. They're always helping customers pick the right parts and very assisting when customers are in need. I recommend this place to all of my Jersey friends.

Had good stuff to say about this place until recently, not only do i feel they tried to scam me, but my family as well. a few months ago my mother brought her vehicle in for an oil change. The employees at mr brakes tried to tell her that she was in need of new tires. Little did they know, the tires had been recently replaced new AND that my mother had sold tires for years as a living! and soon as she objected and explained her knowledge on tires - they had nothing else to say. Despite this, we still stayed loyal customers, as everyone can make mistakes. But recently we brought our other car in for a service that we ended up never having done. When we went to leave they tried to bill us for an oil change. when i told them we never asked for an oil change - they argued back saying we did and that they had cameras and audio to prove it. well i told them to play the audio, as i know what services I had requested. they immediately dropped the issue and said we could just leave. i was and still am convinced they were just trying to get some money out of me any way they could. After we left I looked into the company/owner - and found out they had already been in trouble with the attorney general of michigan for owning and operating an auto body shop where they were scamming people, charging for services they never did, and just ripping off customers. Id never go back to these people sadly. Not sure if they even have certified mechanics at there shop. I liked this place and its sad that i wont be going back.

A good friend of mine recommended this shop to me a couple months ago when I needed my front left wheel hub/bearing assembly replaced. They took me as a walk in and were very kind, understanding and put my concerns to rest with a speedy repair. Its been about 3 months since that repair and now the front right side had to be done. Paul is great! He is very detailed, explains everything and isn't hesitant to take you to your car and show you what is wrong. I learned that a trusted shop I frequented when I was living in Pennsylvania had installed an incorrect control arm on the wrong side of my car, screwed up my brake caliper and was causing more damage than good. Paul and his staff took care of my car, replaced the incorrect control arm and installed my new hub and caliper, and now its running like a champ. For an Infiniti with 270,000 miles on it, its still damn nice and their work makes me want to keep the car a little longer when I was ready to trade it in and suffer a bit financially. They are also EXTREMELY fair with pricing! Def cheaper than most and you're not sacrificing repair quality one bit!A+++Thanks Mr. Brakes!

First off, I had an 8 o'clock appointment and they were almost a half hour late to open. After that dude was trying to tell me what was wrong with my vehicle without even looking at it. Trying to up sale before diagnosis. Don't go here. Bad business practice. You were telling me that my rotors may need to be replaced. I took car to Pep Boys and confirmed what I had told you I needed was the hardware only. Didn't need anything else. You basically didn't want to listen to the customer. Rule of thumb customer is always right. I did tell you think I work on cars. I know a little more than the average consumer about my vehicles. Its ok though. I will never come back and make sure others read this and chose to not go here. People are better off going to Pep Boys etc.

after I had a brake job done by someone else my brakes would not work even after bleeding over and over. I even took it to another business before coming here. Let s just say they took they time to find out what was wrong instead of just guessing and making me pay for the highest price thing. Paul and Amanda were great ppl to work with.
