Sal and his team are great! I have gone there for oil changes,break replacements, news tires all of it. Sal keeps his word which most mechanics don t, On the punctuality of how long the job will take and when it will be done. Him and his staff are very friendly and anytime I ve gone there, If I come across an employee, they always greet me in a super friendly manner. Sal and his team are very trustworthy and great at getting the job done!If you re looking for a spot that is great at what they do and will not rip you off this is it.The only bit of constructive criticism I have is that Sal and I had a discussion about needing things done on my vehicle. He provided me with a quote, and I decided to wait probably five months after that quote to get the job done. Unfortunately, when I came to pick up my car, the price that I had to pay was unexpected! Thankfully, I just got my bonus check so I could afford it but I do wish that they could have called and communicated the new cost!When I brought that up in the moment again, Sal was sincerely apologetic. Prices have varied since we originally spoke about the job and that s on me for not going over the estimate again months later.I am and will continue to be a customer.

Our two cars (2013 model) have been taken good care by Mr Sal and his team. for 2-3 years now. Their estimate and labor price are transparent and explained clealy.

After glowing online reviews and a work friend referral I chose to do business with Sal and this place. I m humiliated and embarrassed by how I was taken advantage of by Sal and his entire team. They literally laughed at me. They took me for over $3000 and held me hostage for an hour and a half. And they left my beloved car a disaster show. I must advise that you do not do business with this place I wish I could say differently but I must warn you.

Mike who owns the place, has been great, honest, and trustworthy for years now. He always makes sure he gives us the recommended services that he would get as if it was his own car. Its awesome to have someone like him that I can trust his expertise.

Mike is awesome, had him to a prepurchase inspection on a truck I was looking at, he saved me a huge headache, time, and lots of money. Would highly recommend him and his team. Did everything over the phone, he was responsive, very pleasant to speak with, and very reasonably priced.

Mike and his entire staff at Central Bergen are the best in the business. I recently had to have an engine replaced in one of my work trucks and Mike completed the project on time and on budget. I highly recommend them for all of your automotive needs !

Honest shop with knowledgeable mechanics. Mike is a pleasure to deal with, car is always finished on time. May not look like much, but truly a great shop for service. Trusted them enough to have them rebuild the lousy Ford AOD transmission in my Grand Marquis. Fair price, and got a warranty on it too. Also have them maintain my Cadillac and VW Jetta. Been going here ever since my friend Roger closed his D&R Service when he retired several years back.

My family members and I have been customers here for a very long time and cannot say enough good things about Central Bergen Auto. Mike is a friendly guy who s given me great automotive advice throughout the years. Owning a car is made infinitely easier by having a trustworthy mechanic who does good work.

Everyone here was so accommodating and helpful. Called 30 minutes before close on a Friday evening and they still fit me in last minute for a brake light change. Very good prices. When I had to leave my car for the day to get serviced, they even offered transportation. Will definitely be going here again next time I have issues with my car!

I had to bring my car back 3 times for the same problem. Not happy at all. They don't seem organized and the place is a hole in the wall. I had to call 5 times to get to talk to the owner when I had to bring my car back because he was "not here right now and should be back in a half hr." Is this guy ever there? It was 3 hrs before I got to talk to this hack. The employees whom answer the phone give you blow off answers for the most part. The website has all pictures of generic private shops, not what you walk into. The place should be investigated by the EPA because its just absolutely gross in there. Go here at your own risk!

Ordered parts and install the next day . Thanks. Parking is a little tight. It on the same street as the deli mart. They had a lot going on but found time to fix my car.

I have been a customer for years at central bergen I now live in toms river area andstill able bring my car to Mike who can be trusted, he reminds me of Goober Pyle themechanic on mayberry who was well liked,and as far as his shop conditions it justshows that it is a busy shop that can be trusted,and to mr Huber who posted about theepa should investigate the shop they bring in their vehicles to be serviced.
