Sent an email early this morning. I was looking for a motel/hotel to block rooms for me October wedding next year. Elena responded right away and blocked the rooms for me as well as gave my guests a special rate for the two nights Stay they will need. That to me is worth the 5 star as this motel comes highly recommended. Thank you Elena so much

Stayed here for two nights when we had a wedding on LBI and it was very close to the venue. Read reviews first but was very surprised, they were not accurate. The place was dirty, especially the floor. As long as I wore shoes I was okay.After I posted the above review, the establishment responded this is not possible since they clean their rooms regularly. I did witness the cleaning staff working, however I believe they need to be re-trained. The bottom of my feet were black, even though the floor appeared clean.

We've been back year after year! The owner and her staff are top notch. They're so accommodating, kind, personable and just great people. The rooms are updated, clean and roomy. The pool is clean and refreshing. On the main strip, super close to the beach-just cross the street and one block to the beach. I love the Seahorse Motel. Best motel on LBI!I'd love to see a suite or two that was handicap accessible added to this great motel. That would really be helpful. In any case, I highly recommend it!

Our family has been coming to LBI for the last 6 years (1 week in June and several long weekends in July/August/ September, generally around 20 days) and have always had an amazing time our son learned to surf there, and we love it!We did have an issue last weekend and it has not been resolved.I put down a deposit of $350 to hold the room on 6/24 at the Sea Horse Motel.We showed up at 8:45pm on 6/30 to check in.My wife and son unloaded the entire car while was checking in, I gave our 9-year-old son the room key so they could put everything in the room.He immediately came back to the front desk and told me it smelled horrible.I went to the room, walked in, and was overwhelmed by the smell, the room smelled like old smoke and cleaning supplies.I then went back to the front desk and told them we could not stay in the room.They did not offer to change our room, so I asked for a full refund for the $386.96 I had just paid and the deposit of $350.00.The woman at the front desk said she would refund the $386.96 as it just went through but could not refund the $350.00 as owner would have to do that.I spoke to the owner on the phone, she said that she had to be in the office to refund the $350.00 deposit and she said she would process the refund Saturday send me an email confirmation.We ended up having to pay $579 per night down the street at the Mariner Inn because it was after 9pm on a Friday night and there was nothing else on the island available, so we had to pay $1158.00 for the 2-night stay.We are seeking $350 for the deposit2, $386.96 that we paid upon check-in, and $421.04 the additional amount we had to pay for the other hotel.We have yet to see any refund from the motel.

We stayed here on a last minute weekend trip to LBI. The Sea Horse Motel is super cute, in a great location, and has extremely friendly staff! The room was small but definitely enough room for 2 people - plus it was recently renovated which was a plus! They had a great outdoor entertainment area with grills, picnic tables, and corn hole, not to mention the pool is an added bonus!

Just stayed here for a little spring getaway with my fianc� and son. It was on the cheaper side and there wasn t much availability at other hotels/motels so I was hesitant. But when we got there, the room was obviously redone recently and beautiful.even though it was small, I love the vibe it gives off, just beachy and peaceful. Room was clean, I was so happy seeing there was a coffee Machine for k-cups. The staff Made sure to check on us for anything we need.I was pleasantly surprised, and I can tell the owners put a lot of work in to make any guest comfortable and happy. The one thing I will say, even though the pool is closed, it would be nice if it was kept a little cleaner, just for looks but I know its gorgeous during the summer so can t complain much. Will definitely keep this motel in mind for future visits. Easy to get out for food, easy walk to the beach, and the perfect spot to rest your head at night.

We had a very pleasant last minute stay here for 3 nights. The place was clean and well maintained. The room was small but comfortable and clean, everything was updated. AC worked great. Loved the little bench outside the room to hang towels and put out beach stuff to dry. Close to everything, 10 mins up from Beach Haven where we usually stay. I will definitely stay here again.

This is the second year in a row myself, my wife and my 5 year old son have stayed at the Seahorse Motel. We stay for an entire week. Both years the staff was amazing. The owner Elena and her crew were not only accommodating but beyond friendly, attentive and made us feel like family. We also invited a few other family members to stay at the motel in another room for a few days and they had nothing but great things to say. The apartment we stay in is clean, neat and attended to daily. The pool is clean and refreshing. We have nothing but great things to say about the Seahorse Motel and it s amazing staff. We plan on staying at this motel every single summer vacation, for every year to come.

I'm here since October as lost my home to hurricane in Florida! The owner is constantly redoing rooms painting new furniture she goes non stop keeping this place beautiful the maintence guy works non stop ! Its a family business and take pride in their business! If I was a tourist looking to vacation I would come here! As for traffic its long beach island but isn't something that will wake you up I never seen a woman work all winter to make her rooms perfect for their guest

We had an AMAZING time staying at the sea horse hotel. We stayed for 6 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The place is super clean and extremely well maintained. The owner and staff are the nicest people in the world. They are super accommodating and really friendly. They make you feel like family when your there! We will definitely be planning our future vacations at the sea horse!

The Sea Horse motel was a lovely place to stay for a get away. The grounds were very well maintained and the pool deck was beautiful with all the plants and flowers and enjoyed the music. Pool was clean and refreshing. The room was spacious, clean and updated. Convenient location, a block from the beach and walking distance for breakfast lunch or dinner. The staff couldn t have been more accommodating. I would definitely go back soon !

I booked a stay for my husband and I very last minute- as in, booked the morning we wanted to check in- and was pleasantly surprised we were able to be accommodated! For a motel down the shore, I wasn't expecting much, but Sea Horse was the perfect location for a little weekend getaway. The rooms were very clean and have the basic tv, mini-fridge, microwave set up. We didn't get to go by the pool but it looked very clean and the little station to rinse your feet off from the beach was welcomed! It's about a five minute walk to the beach and you can buy beach passes for $3 per person per day through the motel which is a massive steal! We were also able to walk to quite a few restaurants, bagel shops and mini-golf areas. I highly recommend stay here!

Stayed here as reviews said it was clean and affordable for the area.One of the two beds was dirty as there was a lot of hair on the sheets and clearly weren t changed. I feel it was an oversight.Fridge is loud and there is road noise but place is small and cute and it appears floors 1 and 2 are getting refurbished (stayed floor3)This is good location to do things and staff is friendly with chairs for the beach. I would come back again but make sure the room I got didn t have a fridge that keeps a light sleeper up. First night I just unplugged but after that we had food in it.Anyways it s worth a try!

Staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was small but clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. Tub enclosure was fairly new and clean. AC and mini fridge worked, but noisy. If all you need is a good bed and bath for a cheaper price, then this is a good choice. Free parking; $3/day/person beach pass. Two block walk to the beach.

Amazing motel! It was my kids first time going to the ocean and I asked in advance for them to make those fancy animal towels for him and they made 3! He was so excited he screamed and fell in love with them. Amazing room too. Bathroom was much bigger than I thought. Beds were super comfortable and the blankets actually felt like real blankets. Not those scratchy pieces of fabric some motels give you. It was very quiet and peaceful there. So close to a beach entrance too. 100/10 will return!

We recently stayed here during the first week of August. The rooms were updated and clean, the pool was clean and the staff were so helpful and courteous. The beach badges were included for a nominal fee and the walk to the beach is a short 5 minute walk.I highly recommend staying and we will be returning in the future!

If this a so-called "2 star hotel", it is overrated by 3 stars. Stayed here last night and arrived at the wee hours of the morning after having seen a concert in AC which ended just after midnight. The room, which did appear to be clean, is completely devoid of character and reeked of some unidentifiable substance. Plopped right into bed due to the lateness of the hour (2 AM-ish) and promptly could hear banging sounds, loud talking and/or a TV blaring straight through till the sun came up. No clue if it was above us, next room over or what. Who does that at this time of night/day?? Drapes were useless in blocking out morning sun. And when we opened them after we arose, was grossed out to see a dirty piece of scotch tape in my sheets. Management, please do not tell me we should have called you with these complaints, I don't have the heart to call ANYONE at 2 AM unless it's an emergency. Just wanted to provide this info for anyone else considering staying here in the future...Sea Hearse would be a more apt name for this establishment

Love this motel!! Would highly recommend it. My second time coming here and still haven t been disappointed. Very close walk to the beach and plenty of restaurants nearby. The staff are pleasant and very helpful. The rooms are small and clean but still pleasant to stay in for a family vacation. The pool love it!!! Small and clean but still very fun.

We had a very pleasant one night stay at the Sea Horse. We only ended up here because everything in AC was booked so we changed plans. The rooms are not massive, but the beds are very comfortable, the shower is clean and it looks newly renovated. The lady at check-in was a doll! She really assisted us with ideas for the area. The pool is pretty cool as well. I would recommend the spot for families or a group of friends for a friends weekend. Book early and stay more than 1 night for a cheaper rate.

I stayed at this motel during august. The room was dingy! MOLD on the ceiling above the beds! Bathroom was moldy with mildew. DANK is a compliment. No light in room was dark and musty. Sleeping next to the office filled our room with the smell of their dinner cooking and then smelling marijuana during the night!! Had to open the room door to air it out after knocking on office door with no answer.This room is no good for anyone and especially someone with any type of respiratory problems.The only shining light was the very lovely woman at the desk Marie. She was very sweet and very accommodating. She should go to a motel that is worth her presence!

Small motel, small rooms, but clean and comfy. There's a small fridge and freezer (that actually freezes) and coffee maker in the room. Also body wash and shampoo dispensers in the shower, so no worries if you forgot yours. The towels and washcloths are pretty harsh, though. That's my only complaint, and in the grand scheme of things, towels really aren't that big of a deal.

Great location. Clean room. Short walk to the beach, motel provides badges for a very small fee. Plenty of free parking. Just an overall really great value. Can t wait to come back.
